Explore:
What is Explore?
Explore is a new feature that allows you to send your pets to locations around their home planet and well… explore. While they are taking in the scenes and getting to know the terrain a bit better they may stumble across eggs and items alike bringing them back to you as a token of their gratitude.
What about "refresh to find" eggs as random events?
At this time we are not yet disabling the classic way to find eggs, however the hope is for this feature to completely replace the old mechanism once it's out of beta. We know this is a big change and hope that your feedback will help us to make sure everything is ready before this occurs.
How do I send my pet out to explore?
Once you are on the explore page you will see all of your profile pets on display. When you click on their name a drop down menu will appear, including an option that will read "Explore [pet's planet]." Simply click to explore. **Remember once you send your pets out to explore they will by inaccessible to you until they come home**
How many pets can I send out at one time?
At this time only 4 pets can be exploring simultaneously.
How long are my pets exploring for?
Your pets can explore for a maximum of 6 hours. They will also come home automatically if their health falls to 1 or below, or their hunger falls to 10 or below.
Do I have to wait the full 6 hours to get my pet back?
No! You may call your pet back whenever you see fit under their drop down menu on the explore page.
Can all of my pets explore?
Unfortunately not all creatu are able to explore at this time.
Planet Creatu:
A pet may only explore their planet of origin. Additionally you can only explore the planet of which you are currently a citizen. Ex: Otachie eggs are found on Reiflem, therefore Otachie pets may only explore on Reiflem. Be sure to stock up on candles and visas to easily jump from planet to planet.
Cash Shop Creatu:
Cash shop pets have a unique ability to adapt to any planet they may find themselves on. This means that CS pets have no planet limitations and may explore any planet you are a citizen of.
Uldavi Creatu:
Unfortunately, Uldavi pets are still learning their way around our galaxy so it might be a bit irresponsible of us to let them roam about unsupervised. At this time Uldavi pets cannot explore any planet.
Why can't I send my pet out to explore right after it comes back from an exploration?
Once your pet returns from an exploration they will be "resting" for a while. This cooldown period is to ensure your pet has enough time to safely recuperate from their journey.
How long will my pet have to rest for?
The maximum cooldown period is 6 hours, however a cooldown period will be reduced at a rate of 30 minutes for every half hour early from their maximum exploration time they arrive back home.
Pet Exploration is currently in beta. What does that mean?
Exploration is not completely ready for a production release, however we are ready for players to help us test. This beta period will help us to identify any potential bugs but more-so will allow you to provide valuable feedback to Rescreatu Staff so that we can fine tune and balance the exploration experience. Expect many updates, changes, tweaks, and balancing to happen during this beta period. **You should also expect that all Planet Intuition Levels and elemental Essence Experience will be reset when explore is fully released.**
Where can I provide feedback on exploration?
We have created a forum thread for the purposes of collecting feedback regarding this feature. Please direct all feedback to the thread.
Loot and Inventory:
What types of items and eggs can my pets find?
Each location has its own unique loot to find that may change based on the season and events happening in the Rescreatu Universe. If you have specific questions refer to the Loot Guide found on the explore tab.
Default Loot:
Relcore: Relking Coins, Relcore Berries, Barter Tokens, Marbles, Relcore Sword, Relcore Eggs.
Reiflem: Relking Coins, Reiflem Berries, Barter Tokens, Marbles, Reiflem Sword, Reiflem Eggs.
Atquati: Relking Coins, Atquati Berries, Barter Tokens, Marbles, Atquati Sword, Atquati Eggs.
Scria: Relking Coins, Scria Berries, Barter Tokens, Marbles, Scria Sword, Scria Eggs.
How many items/eggs can my pet find?
All pets will start with 3 inventory slots that they may fill with loot. Your pet will learn how to bring back more inventory as it levels up their Planet Intuition. Starting at Planet Intuition Level 4 each level will increase your pet’s inventory size by 1 slot. The maximum inventory is 10 slots at this time.
Why can I add items into my pet's inventory before they leave to explore?
In order to encourage your pet to explore longer you may give your pet items that they may consume while they are exploring. Ex: I place a Red Apple in my pet's inventory before they leave for their exploration. Once they become hungry on their journey they will eat the apple instead of returning home.
Will my pet still be able to fill all the inventory slots with loot if I send them out with items?
Yes! Once your pet consumes the item you sent them out with that slot will become open for them to pick up any loot they’ve found. Alternatively, if the inventory becomes full and the item slot is not locked, pets may drop the item in favor of something else they’ve found.
What is the lock on my pets inventory?
The lock indicates to your pet that you do not want them to drop the item. If you don’t want your pet to drop an item in its inventory you must lock the item. A pet will not attempt to drop any items until its inventory is otherwise full.
What are the ? symbols in the inventory?
This indicates that your pet has filled that inventory slot. While you cannot see a pet’s inventory when they are exploring, you can see how many slots they have filled at any time.
Leveling:
What do intuition levels do?
Starting at Planet Intuition Level 4 each level will increase your pet’s inventory size by 1 slot. The maximum inventory is 10 slots at this time. Currently levels do not impact exploration in any other way, however in the future they will unlock special exploration locations.
How do I level my pets?
All pets will start with 0 Planet Intuition and 0 Elemental Essence XP. You can level up their Planet Intuition by gaining Elemental Essence XP from each exploration.
Planet Intuition:
Currently the maximum Intuition level is 10. In order to level up you will need to gain Elemental Essence XP.
Elemental Essence XP:
Experience is earned in two ways: Total duration of each exploration your pet goes on and for each item or egg they find while they are exploring. A pet does not have to pick up the item it has found to gain experience. Your pet will gain experience at a faster rate the longer they are out exploring. More experience is earned as you approach the maximum duration for which a pet may explore.
Do the statistics of my pets matter?
Yes. Keep in mind that pets will become hungry and can get hurt in the wild as they explore.
Age: Only adult pets are able to leave their owner to explore. An adult pet is any pet that is 30 days or older.
Species: Each species has a 25% increase buff in finding eggs of their own species while exploring.
Health: Every pet must have over 1 health to explore. Once their health has decreased to 1, they will quit exploring and come home.
Nourishment: The higher your pet’s nourishment level is, the slower they will lose hunger while they are out exploring, allowing them to explore for a longer time.
Between 100 and 199: 1% reduction in hunger loss
Between 200 and 349: 3% reduction in hunger loss
Between 350 and 599: 7% reduction in hunger loss
Between 600 and 899: 15% reduction in hunger loss
900+: 20% reduction in hunger loss
Intellect: The higher your pet’s intellect level is, the higher the rate at which they will find loot.
Between 100 and 199: 1% increase in loot rate
Between 200 and 299: 3% increase in loot rate
Between 300 and 399: 7% increase in loot rate
Between 400 and 499: 15% increase in loot rate
500+: 20% increase in loot rate
Happiness: At this time their happiness level will not affect their exploration outcome. This will likely be included in a future iteration of explore.
Pacing Strategies:
What is a pacing strategy?
Pacing strategies allow you to instruct your pet on the manner in which it will explore. Pacing strategies give you some control over what a pet will bring back to you and how quickly it will return.
What are the pacing strategy options?
Speed: Your creatu will collect as many eggs and items as they can, as quickly as possible and will return home once its inventory is full. This setting cannot be used in conjunction with any other settings.
Prefer Items: If Inventory is full, your creatu will drop eggs to pick up an item.
Egg Rarity: Your creatu will favor eggs that are more rare. If its inventory is full, the most common egg will be dropped so that it may pick up the rarer egg.
Prefer Eggs: If inventory is full, your creatu will drop items to pick up an egg.
Can I change my pet’s pacing strategy?
You cannot change their pacing strategy once they are out exploring, however once they come home you may change their pacing strategy for their next exploration.
