I drew what was required for school in up until grade 7, when I finally decided to take it up as a hobby. That phase didn't last long, though, as I was frustrated by my lack of improvement. Drawing is an on and off thing for me and it continued that way until this grade 10 - this year. I'll go at it for a month of two, then switch over to writing for a couple of months. I usually draw for a month or two, then switch over to writing, which is the case right now; I've left drawing for writing. xD

I still need to work on my backgrounds and folds though. I've never drawn scenes before, and I usually only draw heads. LOL... No need to worry about folds there (;

omg; I do Nanowrimo <3__<3! YWP, though, since I don't have the commitment to write 50k words. I orginally started out with fanfiction (Harry Potter, Naruto, SSBB, Prince of Tennis, Hikaru no Go, Kyou Kara Maoh, KHR, perhaps some other ones I missed...) because I couldn't be arsed to make my own characters. I still fall back on fandoms because creating a novel from scratch isn't something I'm willing to put time into at this point. I do the occa.ssional prompt, as well, and I like to write from an inanimate ob
ject's point of view. I took up roleplaying a couple of days ago on the Rescreatu forums to polish my writing, and although it's hardly good, I'm hoping to get better. How about you? xD

I wanted to take an art cl*censored* in school, but I just can't make the room for it and my parents think it's a waste of time. Our school offers a design program where you learn to CGI, make 3D graphics, phone apps, websites, video games, photo and video editing, etc, and I was dying to take it, but it takes up 4 courses. ;~; My parents would've flipped, anyways.

It wasn't until this year that I started drawing bodies (albeit not very often) and in the beginning, my heads were WAAY bigger than my bodies and the limbs were horribly disproportioned. It was hilarious. xD Have you ever head of posemaniacs? It help me out so much.

I'm the opposite of you actually; I find fanfictions harder to write than novels, but I'm trying to work on a HP fanfic hahah. What do you mean by inanimate? Like a side-character's point of view, instead of the protagonist? Sadly I never got into roleplaying but I hope so soon, when my school & art doesn't take up that much of my life er I mean, um, time. ^^;;  I like writing science fiction, fantasy, and mystery/thriller stuff, but ideas come easier for me than the whole writing process. I only finished the draft of a novel and I don't want to look at it again >< it's that bad. :b Sometimes I write short stories but I find them harder to write, because I like to flesh out my characters and plots... xD

Ooooh. I know the feeling D: That's the same for me actually; I need summer school to get a free block for Art 2D Intermediate and my parents were against that at first haha. Oh God, you're crazy. LOL. The first time I did Nano, I was dying trying to write 10k words. My friend actually had to make a bet with me because I was so godforsakenly lazy. My word count was slightly better the second year, but it was by no means a feat of 50k words. xD I'm super excited for it this year, though. Hoping I can crack at least 30k words. ;~; I'm stunned by the people who write over 100k in a mere 30 days.

As for Harry Potter pairings, I like Ron and Hermione and Draco and Harry, LOL. At first I was like, WHOA WDH...Draco and Harry? No waaay. That's just too intense for me - I'm not into gay stuff- but it grew on me so much I don't know how I managed to dislike it before. Oh gods, my fanfiction was horrible. I think I'll spare your mind with my stupid english, simple plots, and perverse story lines, LOL. I haven't written any fanfiction recently - hopefully I've improved, though. I remember the first fanfic I ever wrote was written in second person using chat speak and other atrocities, and the main character was a Mary Sue. ; 3; I was 10 when I wrote it, and I read through it a couple of months ago. So. God. Awful. LOL. I don't even know what I was thinking.

Inanimate as in I'd write from my baby blanket's point of view or a chair's. I find it really addicting for some reason. I love writing action and thriller, as well. Sometimes I feel like a sap and go crazy over romance, though. Unfortunately, I've never actually finished anything besides a short story or one shot, so my characters never ended up together. LOL.

Grade 11 is going to be such a busy year for me; I'm dreading it already. Especially math, since I'm having difficulties with it this year. xD I'm taking 2 courses over the summer to free up my schedule, and it's going to be such a pain in the arse to wake up at 6 am. I'm going to have no life outside of school. Plus I need to start getting volunteer hours since I have 0 at the moment LMAO. 

You're definitely right about parents. For them, it's always doctor, doctor, doctor. They don't even approve of drawing as a past time because they think I should be studying QQ Personally, I'd like to go into Game Design, but I don't have any courses to back me up. I'm shooting for Business Administration or something to do with Sciences. I'm trying to take a wide variety of courses in high school just in case I change my mind, though. xD How about you?

Here's the link to posemaniacs C: The 30 Second Drawing exercise is especially helpful. I improved leaps in just days. I didn't think I would see progress so quickly. xD I can't draw realistic people, unfortunatly, so it was anime. Chibis aren't so bad because once I draw the head, I just give them a blob for a body. xD

But lol, I remember writing really badly in elementary; a 15 page book or something and it failed. Epically. That's very interesting. I haven't heard of anyone writing from an inanimate point of view... how do you go along writing the POV like that? Action and thriller = win! Some romance is ok, haha. I just can't bring myself to write romantic scenes though. It always sounds too cliched to me. D; Like, if you can pull romance off then it's ok... lol. That's hilarious. xDDD We're opposites o3o I want your short story skills. Especially as since at school we write more short stories than lengthier ones. XD

I'm thinking of doing Social Studies 11 over the summer, but it's a provincial examable course... haha, not sure if I'm up to it though. *highfives* Yay for no social life! xD (has physics, chemistry, computer programming, art, socials, english, and japanese next year). Yeah - "be a doctor!" you're right on the point.  Wow, your parents are strict; they don't even like you drawing? D: My parents let me draw and work on Casailon, but only if my marks stay up. Game Design/Business Administration will be AMAZING. Work along side of me for Casailonnnn!  xD Well I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with Computer Science (more programming hurrah) and a Business minor so I can actually market Casailon in the future lol. But I'm torn between computer science and graphic designing lololol. I'll probably just stick labels onto a dart board and throw darts and see where they land and take the major/minor that gets chosen.
