This is totals honest

These are beautiful. But does your camera have flash? They are not too bright. I think these are great and i am interested. But if you have to take a flashlight and point it where you want to take a picture or have someone else do it. Then take a picture. These are truly beautiful and it makes me want to go to Hawaii.

Do you own a DSLR?
I would advise you set it on manual and change the f stop to make things brighter. I don't know how to use DSLRs on automatic, they're always blurry. Try and wait for a really sunny day so your colours are bright and the image in general is bright. I'm not a photography expert, I just went to a free workshop where a nat geo photographer came and some random people dragged me in and forced me to take part because no one came to the workshop and they had to make numbers last minute. I had no idea what I was doing xD

I prefer nikon over canon by the way. Even though people say canon is better. It's just that I'm so bad at using cameras that all the photos I take with a canon are blurry. I don't actually own a DSLR.

Other than that technical stuff that I don't understand, I have some problems with your composition. Your composition isn't very interesting. You don't really choose a focal point and nothing's there for you to see.

Photos like this one are quite drab http://taintedpegasus.deviantart.com/art/Above-the-Clouds-II-263645780
I know that the clouds are supposed to be the focal point, but it's not clear.

This one is better, there is more colour. Unfortuneatly it's blurry.

This one could be better. Take it from a much more dramatic perspective. Maybe take photos of the details of the building. Like the pillar or that top bit that sticks out with the windows. The sun is also behind the building, making it dark. You could also go further away from the building, capture the whole thing in one frame.

Those aren't the only ones with poor composition, but I think you get the idea. If I were to critique all of them, I would repeat things over and over again. You basically repeat your mistakes.

One more problem I have with your work is that you put several photos that look similar in that photo. I have worked in editorial before and I feel that when a photographer gives me a set of photos they would like me to put in the article that look almost the same is very unproffessional. You have the photographer's eye. You're suppose to pick the best photo that suits what you envisioned. Don't let me decide which is the best, that's not my field and it's your job. You don't need to give me 'Above the Clouds I, II, III, and IV' you pick the best one and just call it 'Above the Clouds'. It's not very interesting to go to a gallery space and see several photos and say 'oh yeah, that shot was taken next to Above the Clouds I'. It leads to me thinking you don't know which one you like, you have no vision and you just want to make up numbers.

It's great that you want critique. A lot of young photographers are quite arrogant and don't think that critique for photography exists.  So take what I have said and apply it to your future work.

I (HATE)' YOU

Feel the love man D:<
