I tried drawing a wolf eye on photoshop and this is what i managed. it's pretty bad but i'll let you decide, so what do you think of it? (please excuse the blurryness. oh and i also didn't spend much time of the fur):

it's cute and cartoony/anime-ish. I love hte light spots and the color ^_^ and heres a hint on fur, take hte smudger tool, and hold the button down, or hte pen whicever you use. and just use the mouse/tablet pen like you're scribbling. it gives a zig zag effect. but make sure hte smudge tool is set to 50%..it gives a nice fur effect.

Lines the black thing aroud the eye gots ta be more crisp. Do you have a tablet? I dunno, but it's pretty hard to make your lines sharper without a tablet. The actually eyeball needs to stick out a bit more, the black thing looks although it's sticking out further. If it's realism you're working towards, I can't help you much. If I do realism (which I don't do often), I pay less attention on the eyes and more on the texture of the fur. I haven't done realism in a long time, so I'm pretty rusty at the moment.

I think it has a very nice blend of cartoony/anime style and realism- you're definitely using realism on the eye shape, pupil and etc shape... I think the anime really only comes from the lack of fur texture. Otherwise it looks like stylized-ish realism. ...did that make sense? Oh well. I really think it's impressive. |

thanks.^^ forgot about this for a while. o.O (@ chantico) and hold on a second, what does being left handed have anything to do with this? are you saying you are no good because you are left handed? because if you are well I have one thing to say: I'm left handed too. sorry if this comes out the wrong way, just saying that the hand you use has no effect on your drawing skills at all, at least not for me anyway.

im left handed as well! true, it does not make a difference, as there are famous left and right handed artists.

This is strange four left handed people ;D They say left handed people tend to be more artistic than right handed people. Though I don't believe that seeing as I'm not full with ideas involving artistic stoof D; I love that wolfs eye. If you spent some more time on it I'm sure it would look even better (if that's possible) If you do decide to re-do this, I would suggest you do work on the effect of fur. Seeing as you didn't spend a lot of time on it, I say it's brilliant :3 |

thanks happy.^^ yeah I've heard that left handed myth, I kinda wish it was true. XD you know left handed people used to be called sinister? Also my Grandad is left handed and always has been but when he was in school he was forced to write with his right hand. anyway I might try it again sometime. For now though here's a quick cartoon wolf I tried drawing in photoshop, I think it turned out alright.

I quite like that wolf ^.^ though I think the jaw could be thinner, and the wolf it's self could be less chunky xD but seeing as it's a cartoon wolf I say it's realy good. Have you ever tried drawring dragons? :o I'm obsessed with drawring them, I think it's because I'm welsh xD I love the shading on that wolf :D and the blueness of the eyes o3o |

lol, thanks. and yes I do quite like drawing dragons. I made up my own one called Inferno, I'll try to post a pic of him soon. I think my style of drawing them is a little weird though. XD

lol, here's a basic picture of him. The eyes and wings are still works in progress, I can't find a good way to draw them but you get the idea. Colourwise he is red with either darker red scale things on his back or blue scale things on his back.
