I love Pokemon, so I decided to write a story about it. :D Please point out my mistakes and what I need to add, I don't mind. c: And sorry that the beginning has almost nothing to do with Pokemon. D: ------ Marissa fell out of her bed with a loud thump. "Ugh.." She said, slowly getting up, her body aching. "That always happens." She often fell out of her bed, and she was use to it by now. Her long brown hair that hangs down to her waist was all tangled, and under her eyes were dark, due to a lack of sleep last night. She basically was a mess today. And to make matters worse, she felt terrible too. No, she wasn't sick. She just had a terrible nightmare last night, thats all. And she hoped the nightmare wasn't true. If it were, who knows what she'd do. But whatever it was, it would be terrible. It was about her in a deep green forest, with no wildlife in it. After hours of walking, or at least it seemed like hours, she heard a loud yell for help. And the voice was familiar too. She immediately ran in that direction, but it was too late. Her brother was laying on the ground, dead. His arms were spread wide, and his legs were spread wide too. He was pale and motionless, no breathing nor heartbeat. She was devastated. Sure, that probably doesn't seem so scary to you, but her brother means a lot to her. He was the one who taught her all about Pokemon, about nature. She never was able to get a Pokemon, though. So call that teaching a waste if you wish, but it isn't a waste to her. Thankfully the nightmare wasn't real. Her brother was downstairs eating breakfast, safe. Or at least she hoped so. Breakfast! The word suddenly hit her hard and fast. She usually woke up before breakfast came, but today she woke up late thanks to that nightmare that made her have trouble falling back asleep last night. So many bad things in one day. How terrible. But she still has the rest of the day to enjoy, or at least she hoped she could enjoy it. If something were to wreck her day then today certainly is one of the worst days of her life. She sat there for a moment, still feeling a little drowsy and still slightly frightened. It took her a good amount of time before she finally stood up and awkwardly walked over to her dresser. She took off her pajamas, almost losing all her balance while doing it. Then she pulled out a light blue T-shirt with a picture of a Pokeball on it and very short blue jeans. She pulled the shirt over her head and pulled the pants up, and now she was ready to go downstairs. Actually, not yet. She still had to comb her messed up hair. She unwillingly picked up her comb from the table and began to comb her hair. She was close to being finished and had only one more part to brush, but bad luck hit her and the comb got stuck. Marissa groaned and attempted to untie the knot with her hands. As she finally untied it and finished brushing her now-straight hair, she was suddenly surrounded by round shiny bubbles. What was this, some party? She looked behind her and a tiny Squirtle was blowing bubbles at her. She put down the comb and stared at the Squirtle in shock. It's shell was shiny and it's it's blue body was healthy, so it couldn't have been injured. And on it's face was a cheerful look, something that Marissa wished she could have had put on her face. "What are you doing here? Squirtles don't live here in Sinnoh. Are you lost?" She asked, sounding sympathetic. She was 14 and still had no Pokemon, but wanted one badly. Maybe she could keep this Squirtle. It seemed like a pretty good Pokemon. One that Marissa would have fun with. The Squirtle shook it's head. Then it handed Marissa note. Marissa curiously took it and unfolded the note. As soon as she heard the crackling noise of the paper and the note was opened, she began to read it. The note said: "Hey Marissa, take good care of the Squirtle. I left my female Blastoise in the daycare with another Blastoise, and it had an egg. When it hatched I decided to give the baby Squirtle to you. You have no Pokemon, so I thought you would like it. From you friend, Emily P.S: Your Squirtle is female in case you were wondering." "Oh cool!" Marissa said excitedly. "I finally have a Pokemon!" Emily was her friend, and they often do things together. And thanks to her she could finally battle. But where was the ball? Right before she could go and search her house for a ball the Squirtle hopped outside the window where it came from, and came back with a Pokeball, smiling and saying, 'Squirtle!'. Then Marissa realized that she left the window open overnight, and that was how the Squirtle got in. Marissa took the ball from the Squirtle and smiled. "Thanks." She said. "Now lets see if it works." She threw the ball at the Squirtle, and it got sucked in easily. Then she released it from the ball, and picked it up and hugged it tight. It meant a lot to her already, although she had just met it. Then suddenly the building started shaking. First softly, then it started shaking violently. So violent that Marissa tumbled over, making the same thump noise as she did when she woke up. The change from soft to violent was so quick that you wouldn't have known that it was shaking softly at first. What could have caused this? "A tremor!" Marissa cried out, as she got up quickly. "We have to get out of here! It's dangerous!" She didn't know what caused the tremor, but whatever it was it certainly wasn't good. And they had to get out of the house quickly before it was too late. ------ To be continued. This is one of those 'non-ending' stories that go on and on until I want to stop. xD I'll post the next part in a different post. Also I edited the story. Before that it was a bunch of puny paragraphs. :P Don't blame me, I was sorta rushing. D:

Here comes more! :D ------ Marissa looked around, panicking. The handle had somehow fell off, so there was no escaping that way. And she was on the second floor, so jumping off would be dangerous, or at least she thought so. And she wondered how the Squirtle got in, and jumped out and came in easily with the Pokeball. Maybe it was just because it was a Pokemon. You can't say thats impossible, because Pokemon might just be able to do anything. Who knows? She tried opening the door by sticking her finger into where the handle once was, but it was no use. She was trapped, or at least she thought so. She panicked even more, and started constantly loudly banging on the door screaming, "Open you stupid door!" Just then she heard the something break the wall, and then before she could turn around to see what caused it (probably the tremor) she felt something stab her arm. A sharp pain shot up her arm, and then she fell to the ground. The last thing she saw was a glimpse of someone's arm grabbing her, and then everything turned black. ------ Sorry for not writing much, I wrote much more than this and then I accidentally hit certain keys and everything I wrote got deleted. Dx

I hope this time everything that I write won't be deleted. :P ------ When Marissa woke up she was in a grey stone room. It looked so dull, and some pieces of the wall were chipped. It wasn't long before she felt her back ache. She was on a huge slab of dull grey stone, so it wasn't very shocking. Then she began to feel pain from her arm, a stinging pain like a paper cut. Not much pain. She weakly got up and examined her arm, not getting a good look at it because everything was slightly blurry, and she saw the spot where something had been injected into her. Just some blood on it, not much. "Squirtle!" Cried out her Squirtle, sounding miserable. She looked at it, and it's eyes were filled with tears. A whole different personality. She remembered how cheerful it was when she had first got it. The wonderful and pleasant mood, the bright look on it's face, everything about it made it obvious that it wasn't anything other than happy. Now it was miserable, trapped in a cage, and it's tiny blue hands gripped onto the bars. A tear rolled down it's left cheek, and it didn't bother to wipe it away. The blurriness had gone away, and now she could see Squirtle clearly. "Don't cry." She pleaded, her voice sounding soft; not unlike the voice of a mother when putting her baby to sleep. The Squirtle cheered up a little, but it was obvious that it still was miserable. Then she noticed the needle in it's leg. Someone must have stuck it in it's leg to shut it up. Marissa could almost visualize the scene in her head; it was obvious it must have annoyed whoever trapped them in here. The Squirtle angry and shouting 'Squirtle' in an angry voice, and the person rolling their eyes and sticking the needle into it's leg, and then the Squirtle putting on a sad face and shutting up. Or maybe they just did that for no such reason at all. Marissa got off the stone slab, feeling slightly dizzy and walking awkwardly. She walked over to the Squirtle, which was across the room from the stone slab. She squeezed her hand through the narrow gap between the bars, and gently pulled out the needle. The Squirtle whimpered a little, but once the needle was out it's cheerful mood was back. Maybe not fully, but at least it was much more happy then before. Needles can be a pain, especially if you have a small body. If you have a small body even a tiny little needle is the size of a large stick, or maybe medium, and that is painful. "Feeling better, right?" Marissa asked, smiling. The Squirtle nodded, Skull Bashing on the cage, attempting to break it. Normally a Squirtle wouldn't have that move at level 1, right after it hatched, but because it's dad knew Skull Bash and it's mom could learn it (it was the same species, too) the move was pas.sed on to the tiny Squirtle. And so was Bubblebeam, and Aqua Ring. It's moves were pretty good, and Marissa was proud to have such a wonderful Squirtle. She hasn't got a chance to battle it yet, but she has a feeling that soon she'll need to battle with that 'someone'. And it happened sooner than she expected. "But she's not even 18, or 17!" She heard a female voice say. Her voice tough and angry. "She appears to be about 14, maybe 15." Marissa was actually 14, the woman was right. And she was going to turn 15 in about a month. And she'd have her Squirtle to celebrate it with her, and that would probably be one of her best birthdays ever, or maybe her 16th would. Who knows? "She'll do fine, even though she isn't an adult." A male voice insisted. "It doesn't matter that much. And i'm going to go check on her after I finish something." She heard his footsteps as they got quieter until she could hear his footsteps no more, and then she suddenly felt miserable. Very, very, miserable. "I'm trapped." She whined, tears filling her eyes. She wasn't this miserable before, maybe it was the conversation that downed her mood. She certainly was very upset about how they had planned on using her. She didn't know why or what they'd use her for. Were they going to force her to do bad things, or hurt her family?

She heard the door open, and a man came in. He had d cropped black hair, and was tall and slim. "Stop crying." He demanded, although his voice wasn't too harsh. Marissa wiped her tears away and glared at the man, but he ignored her and looked around the room to make sure she didn't make in the wall to break out or anything. "Come with me." He said, turning around and motioning with his hand for Marissa to follow him. But she didn't, she just stuck her finger in Squirtle's cage's lock and tried to free it. But it didn't work, it required a key. She didn't care if the man was staring at her like she was some idiot, but she started to try and rip the cage. Obviously it wouldn't work, but she tried anyways. The man rolled his eyes and walked over to her. He bent down and took a silver key from his pocket, then pushed it into the hole in the lock and turned it, making the lock make a 'click' noise and unlock. He opened the Squirtle's cage, and it immediately jumped into Marissa's arms and said, 'Squirt!' "There, you got your Squirtle. Now come unless you want to be even more miserable." He said, sighing, obviously tired. He got up and walked to the door and glanced back, relieved that Marissa was following him. He actually didn't plan on hurting her, it was actually a threat. But the woman would've hurt her. ------ Sorry for not writing much, I couldn't think of what to write. Dx
