Dear Genevieve

They say that blood
Makes the strongest bonds.
Maybe that's not quite right, for us.
Maybe I'm just not
Putting this right.
We have a strong bond,
Stronger than most,
Forged in the fires
Of Mount Doom.
It wasn't blood, for us,
It was pain.
It's not like...
You and Sieanna,
Or Sieanna and I.
We argue, we fight.
Eventually, we discuss, though,
Not until we've thoroughly
Annoyed Dad
With our cat and dog bickering.
You were always better with words
And art, and...
Everything else.
I was green in my feelings,
My mind reeling with
Envy.
I probably still feel it,
When I see your
Lapis lazuli eyes, your
Indian goddess body.
It's not as bad, now.
I have my own admirers.
No longer is there need,
Longing,
Yearning
For me to compare myself
To you.

It used to be biased,
But now it's balanced.
