Ah ha, yay! So today I decided to start the sequel to Fire Heart. I felt like the ending was disappointing. ._.'' Hopefully the sequel will be like a better end. It is named Water Heart because it is through the eyes of Vissi unlike Fire Heart where it was in Deviled's point of view. The quote 'Only God can judge you' was by my friend Taiwan36. Thank you Tai (even though you don't read these). Anyways, anyone who is reading do enjoy Chapter 1! ^_^


Chapter 1- Secret

It’s been two years since I had confessed my love to Deviled. He had liked me as well, and we were now mates. Luckily his Father stopped being all crazy that I was a water. It didn’t really matter since I was unable to activate it… I sighed; it made me feel so left out. With the permission of Reeses, Deviled and I moved to the Atqueen forest. Of course I couldn’t abandon the many friends I had made at Reeses’ place. I visited often, and even Deviled who preferred the wild life instead of being in captivity.

I yawned and flipped over in our moderately large cave. Don’t get me wrong, caves/caverns are really nice if you’re a Meiko, but sometimes they were quite cold. I always had a few blankets tucked in the crevices of the stone walls. I curled up in the pile of blankets and looked up at the hard ceiling (or whatever you call the ceiling of a cave). Deviled should have been back by now.

My heart hammered a little- and I wondered how he would respond. I don’t keep secrets from him, but I did for the first time. He didn’t seem all that enthusiastic about his baby brother being born a few years ago, so I doubt he would love this news…or maybe he would. Sometimes he was so unpredictable. I rolled over so I was on my belly and gently pushed a blue and pink striped blanket. The sights made me smile but fill with worry even more as I thought about my mate.

I remembered when Deviled told me a secret. I didn’t really think it was something to be ashamed of or to hide from everyone else, but he did. He wanted to make a clan of Meikos that would live in the wild and be free of the ‘olden customs’ such as having a mate of a different element. Frankly, I thought it was a good idea. But he was ashamed. I tried to convince him to put his thought into reality, but he only told me that other people would laugh at him. Deviled always cared about what people thought of him.

”Dev, why should you care if someone thinks badly of you or they think what you believe in or hope for is ridiculous?” I asked him, frowning.

Deviled had sighed and looked at me, “You remember how my Father acted. Some people might be like him. I don’t want to be laughed at.”

”Only God can judge you,” I told him quietly, “It’s true.”

He never answered me.

A new wave of worry slammed into me as I heard Deviled enter our quaint home. I smiled up at him, shielding my secret with my body. He smiled and rubbed his head against mine, I sign of adoration. How could I ever keep a secret from him? Deviled noticed the worried expressions that were flashing over me and a look of concern came over his features.

”What’s wrong?” He asked me, sitting down next to me and staring at me in concern with his brick red eyes.

I couldn’t pull away from his gaze, “D-Deviled…” My voice shook.

”What?”

I couldn’t keep a secret from him. Taking a deep breath but not breaking the gaze we held, I groped one paw around until I grasped the blanket that hid my secret. Deviled’s eyes broke from mine and I saw him stare at the blanket. I cringed, and I whipped the blanket off, exposing them. Deviled gasped and I felt him grow stiff beside me in shock.

”Vissi…you had eggs?”

Deviled is very nervous about what people think of him so I'm like "PERFECT, I CAN ADD A QUOTE FROM MY FRIENDS!"  Hm, I deleted the LP quotes page. ._. Darn.
