~The Not-so Good Tale of Arkin The Great~
"You are Fire, am I correct? Oh good! Sorry to bother you but I've heard that you are seeking a good dragon tale, hmmm? Ah, wonderful. Then what I've heard isn't just a bunch of rumors. Oh, where are my manners? My name is Arkin The Great. .... Why, you've never heard of me? I would've thought that my story had spread world-wide by now! Oh well, nevermind that. You are Koolgirl's friend, correct? She's told me quite a lot about you! So much that I wanted to lock her away in a closet or something, once she gets started it's impossible to shut her up. Anywho, she is the one who sent me here. Since I am the greatest storyteller of all time, she thought I'd be perfect for the job; afterall I am a dragon myself, who can tell a better story about a dragon than a DRAGON? Ahaha and have I got a story for you....."

Lightning flashed all around me, I could barely breathe for the air was toxic. I hit the ground and groaned, lifting my head to look at my attacker, who was none other than Archamus. "You thought that you could play hero and come face me. Well, Arkin... that was a wasted effort", Archamus snickered, his eyes wide and crazy-like(Since this guy is a total freak, just so ya'know. Oh yes, I, Arkin the Great, will be between these curved lines to add in my commentary :D, if you don't mind^^). He was lined with neat scars all over his body, which made his appearance even more unbearable. His eyes, were a crimson, one like a deep pool of blood. His whole body was bright red, scaley and covered with spikes. These spikes were the sharpest things that you would ever wish to come accross, going through any type of material as if it was lighter than air. Archamus was a huge dragon, a beast rather. Larger than any dragon ever to be recorded in history. His wings were a nasty green, and they were covered in black dots; such a horrible sight. As Archamus came closer and closer, I found myself unable to move, almost as if I was frozen. I gasped, my eyes widened in terror. "Archamus... do you want a cookie?" I asked, generously. *record skips* WAIT A SEC, why would I offer him a cookie?...
"ARKIN! Up timeeee! Arrrkinnnn."
I blinked and awoke, stretching my legs before letting out a long yawn. The ground shook slightly until I was done yawning, sometimes I don't know my own strength. "Yes, Kaiel, what is it that you woke me up for?" Kaiel was the youngest dragon in my family... or should I say the ONLY dragon in my family? She's a small one, with emerald green eyes and aqua scales. Her wings are a light red, which she keeps trying to tell me is pink but I refuse to believe her. Such a color didn't exist.. did it? "I'm hungry and you kept whimpering in your sleep.. did you have a scary dream?", she asked me, her beautiful green eyes shining with curiosity. "Puh-lease, Kaiel. I'm not afraid of anything, there is no way that even a dream can make me whimper. You must've been hearing yourself whimper." Kaiel was about to protest but I interupted. "Did you say something about being hungry? I'm quite famished myself. Let's see what we can find out there, shall we?" At that, Kaiel nodded enthusiastically and spread out her wings, bending her knees and jumping into the air, flying as high as she could go. For a small dragon like her, she was pretty high up, and she wasn't even scared! This, is what makes me proud to call her my sister. I have a rather different style when it comes to flying. I like to get a running start and jump off the side of a cliff or something similar to that. It's just the feeling of falling that makes me shiver, then my wings kick in and I'm soaring through the air. Very exciting in my opinion, way better than just jumping into the air. I judged the distance in front of me, fair enough. Then I began running slowly at first. which is what you humans call... a jog. This began to bore me so I gained speed and practically flew through the forest, my wings outstretched and touching the treetops, but my feet were still touching the ground. I came closer and closer to the edge of the cliff and then the next thing I knew, I was falling. Not the ordinary 'Ohey I'm falling' type of falling, but the 'I'M FALLING OMG HELP ME' type of falling. I was plummeting straight down, farther and farther until I could see sharp pointed rocks at the bottom surrounded by a vast sea. At the last minute I straightened my wings, angling them upward and I took off with a laugh.
"Arkin! You had me worried! You never dared to go that far down before!" Kaiel wailed, her eyes wide in panic. "Don't worry, young one. Remember? I'm not afraid of anything. Bold and daring is my style.", I reminded her in a rather annoyed tone. This was an everyday thing, I would jump off to fly and she would panic and freak out. "I wish your style was safe and regular", my sister muttered, loud enough so that I could hear. I looked over at her and snorted, a puff of smoke coming out of my nose. "Let's not get carried away, we were searching for lunch, let's continue", and with that I took off, not caring if she was keeping pace with me or not. Kaiel was capable of finding her way back to our cave and if anything she could keep up with my speed as well. I flew down into Lyle Square, which was a square piece of land that had the trees and shrubs arranged to look like Lyle, an ancient dragon hero in many of the Elders tales. The Elders watch over the young dragons during the day so that the older ones can go and hunt, which helps me out a lot, having to hunt with Kaiel would be a nightmare. Now THERE'S something to be afraid of. "I'll be back soon, Kaiel! With something filling this time.", I told her before taking to the skies. She just nodded at me and scampered over to where the elders were, probably to listen in on their stories about Lyle. I really didn't get those tales, all he did was save a bunch of young dragons from a volcano that was about to erupt, it didn't seem like a big accomplishment at all, if you ask me. I had always told myself that I would one day accomplish something far greater than that, little did I know that today was the day that my real life would begin. I swooped in and out of the trees, scanning the undergrowth for any animals but oddly there was no prey in sight. I settled down on a boulder and sighed. After hours of searching, I still hadn't found anything. "What is going on? This is usually the time when all the animals come out to eat..."
