Kanpekina: Part One
Warrior brushed up against the tall grass that swayed back and forth, the golden color painting the meadow in front of her. The wind whistled and ran through the grass like a playful child, the wind gently brushing her hair.
She was taking a walk, the walks she took when she felt as if she wanted to escape the world for a while. She was walking up to the old Oak Tree that towered aboved the grass. The branches swayed as the grass did, and the leaves russled in the wind.
She slid back on the bark til she was comfortly on the ground, where the grass tickled her arms. The wind wasn't as strong where she sat, and the Oak Tree seemed as it was protecting her from the winds that lingered. She stared at the sky, where the sun shone brightly and the clouds came into figures of happy thoughts.
The wind then started to die down slowly and the grass only twicthed. Warrior realx her head on the bark of the tree and closed her eyes gently.
She laid there for a good five minutes or so til she felt something, something on her leg. Fairly light and small. She slowly opend one eye and peered at her leg. There something sat, something that Warrior had never seen before!
It kind of looked like a mouse or a chinchilla, Warrior sat up from her relaxed postiton slowly and queitly, not to spook the rodent that laid on her leg looking asleep. She then curiously poked to see if it would move. The rodent immeditaly stood up and ran into the tall grass. Warrior crossed her legs and looked curously into the grass, the rodent peeked its head out. Warrior looked away thinking it might come if she pretended it wasn't there.
Then Warrior heard it walk up to her, she turned head slowly and looked at the mouse creature. This time it didn't run away and Warrior smiled at it. "Hello little guy," Warrior said friendly "I'm Warrior, what's your name?". Warrior then reached her hand out to pet it.
"I'm Kanpekina." the rodent spoke. Warrior screached, and Kanpekina ran into the bushes. Warrior took deep breaths and tried to figure out what just happened, she then gulped and tried to say a calm response.
"You can talk!" Warrior yelled. Kanpekina returned and sat in front of her.
"I was just answering your question, Warrior" Kanpekina said.
"Well I didn't think you were going to reply!" Warrior said, still freaked out.
"Well, it seems as if you wont be doing much talking seeing that you are scared ou of your wits. As I stated before I am Kanpekina, I am a Creatu called a Chimby and come from a wide varitey of them. I am one of the rarest ones that come from the Chimby, Albino." Kanpekina said queitly. Warrior was still scared and shocked but realized she had heard of the many Creatu that lived in Meadows like these.
"I-I have heard of Creatu, don't you come from Rees, Reel, Re-" Warrior was cut off by Kanpekina.
"Rescreatu, yes we are." Kanpekina answered her question.
Warrior examined Kanpekina more throughly, now that she wasn't scared to death. She saw a light pink stripe run down her back.
"Do all of you Chimbys have that, that stripe?" Warrior asked.
"Acutally, no, we don't. I am just speacil you can say, I was born with it, and it topped me off. I am smart, kind, athletic, and now speacil. Half the reason my name is Kanpekina." Kanpekina paced.
"Kanpekina, what does that mean?" Warrior asked, curiously.
"Perfect in Japenesse." Kanpekina said proudly.
"Oh, that's beautiful." Warrior smiled.
"Thank you, I love your name too." Kanpekina showed her teeth in smile.
"Thanks, I thin-" Warrior was cut off by Kanpekina's 'shhh'. Warrior froze and so did Kanpekina.
"Did you hear that?" Kanpekina said in awhisper, not moving.
At first Warrior didn't hear anything. But then she did the grass swayed in a harmful motion and the Oak Trees leaves russled as if the tree was going to colaspe on them.
Then Kanpekina whispered "Their here."
