(Before I begin to post my story to start, this is how this works. This is a thread for the admin to observe. If you write your story here and ti
tle it,  maybe it might get published on this site. I wouldn't know, since I'm a normal user, but this is definitely a thread in which Creatu "fan fictions" that are fairly short may be written for others to read.)

"The Hot Springs Guardian"

A brightly colored Otachie sat staring into one of the flaming pits of her home planet. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to swim around somewhere here? she thought. Though the other Otachie thought her will to swim to be strange, since they were creatures of flight and fur. She did not think they could even begin to understand the thrill of jumping into and breaking the surface of the water, nor the joy of paddling through it. Esmeria, our main character, was only allowed to visit Atquati a few times a year with her owner. Much of the rest of the time in a year for her was spent on Rieflem, where there was no body of water big enough to swim in. Esmeria did, however, have friends living in Atquati. It was now that her brain began to hatch a brilliant idea. If I were to call up my friends and ask them to come over here, we might be able to do something about this... and before the thought completely finished, she jumped up and bounded off towards home.
Upon arriving, Esmeria automatically made a bee-line for the house phone. She picked it up with her two front paws and held it up to her ear and mouth while she dialed the numbers to the houses of her friends in Atquati.
"Hello?"
"Hello. Is this Rissia?"
"Yes, it is! How are you, Esmeria? I haven't heard from you in a while!"
"Yeah. Been kinda busy."
"Oh, I know. You're still wishing you knew how to read those Squishy Dye Kit instructions, huh?"
"Nope. This has nothing to do with my toys."
"What is it, then???"
"Rieflem doesn't have any pools to swim in. Do you think you might be able to come over here and help me come up with a way to make a public pool?"
"Oh sure, Essy! Thats no problem at all! In fact, you know, funny enough, I've got plans for how to make a toy pool right here. Maybe they can serve as a model!"
"Great! I'll call the others, then!"
"Alright! See you soon!"
Rissia hung up. Esmeria dialed another number into the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello. This is Esmeria. Is Venice there?"
"Venice is here. Hold on, Esmeria. I'll call him over here... Venice! Esmeria is calling to talk to you!"
"H-Hello?"
"Hey, Venice. Whats going on? You sound scared."
"Oh! Its just Esmeria. Phew! For a second, I thought my owner was playing a joke on me."
"Oh. Why would he?"
"I don't really know, but hes done it before. Its usually a harmless prank, though. But a prank is a prank and pranks, for some reason, frighten me. "
"Well, I called because I wanted to ask you to come over here. We've got a problem. There are no pools on this planet. No fun! I already called Rissia and shes coming over with the floor plans to make our pool."
"Oh well, I wouldn't mind making the trip over there. I don't know if it will help much, but we've got some digging tools in the shed out back. I'll bring those."
"Alright. I'll be seeing you soon, then."
"Yeah, see ya soon!"
Esmeria hung up with Venice. Things are going great! she thought to herself as she made her way down to the cellar. She was sure that maybe they might have some leftover pipes or tiles or something they could use in making the pool. She flicked on the light switch and a dim beam of light flooded the darkness of the cellar. All the shelves were dusty and most of them had cobwebs. No one had been down here in forever. Esmeria began her search from one end of the room to the other. Heres an old pair of boots. Don't think those would be of much use... Heres the old watering can we thought we lost. Don't think that can be used in a pool... Theres an old rake... A few barrels of aging wine... Aha! A box! Maybe there'll be some tiles in there. Let me see... Esmeria tipped the box slightly so that she could see it's contents, but no success. Nothing was in that box aside from an old pair of gloves and a few blank tags. Are you kidding me?! Nothing in here can be of use and my friends will be here any minute! Esmeria's face began to show frustration. In a flash, she was back up the stairs and bounding out the door. On the way out, she had grabbed a small bag of TU that was sitting on one of the couches. She figured it would not cost much to buy a few pieces of piping or tiles or even a few huge buckets of mortar.
Before Esmeria could reach any of the shops, a voice stopped her. "Hey, Esmeria! Where are you going? We've got a pool to make!" is what it shouted. Esmeria turned around to see her friend Rissia, a pink-colored Ahea who always wore a lovely flower on one of her dorsal fins. "Oh! Rissia! I was going to go buy some mortar and tile for the pool!" answered Esmeria. Rissia looked quite amused and even giggled a bit before telling Esmeria "Oh, thats silly! Esmeria, haven't you ever heard of a hot tub? You can still swim in it and the best thing about making it is that all you have to do is find hot water and dig, preferably with the shape of some kind of pool in mind, or else things might go wrong.". Esmeria seemed quite surprised. She had forgotten all about hot tubs. "Oh, thats right! Well, Venice is supposed to be bringing his digging tools. We can use those to dig out our hot tub!" Esmeria grinned.
Venice, a somewhat small, shy, blue-colored Murren, approached from behind Rissia. "Hey, Ven! Thats a mountain of equipment you have there in that wagon!" Esmeria laughed. Rissia turned to look upon the items in the wagon and appeared to be in shock that they would even need all of the stuff. "Hey, Essy! Hey, Rissy!" Venice almost could not refrain from laughing himself. Even he found it funny, but the equipment would be needed to do what they were going to do. When everyone calmed down, Esmeria stood up and said "Alright. Well, now that everyone is here, shall we set out and look for our spot to di- Oh! Darn! You know what?" Esmeria looked troubled since she had found a bug in their plans. "What?" both of her friends replied. "We don't seem to have anything that detects sources of hot water under-ground..." Esmeria slumped, depressed with the dilemma.
"Esmeria, I've got something that can do just that for us. Its somewhere in the back of the wagon I brought with me. But before we get it out, lets head over to the cave and get it before going inside." Venice, frightened little Venice, finally seemed to be the leader for the moment. "Alright, Venice. That sounds like a great idea. I'm glad you saved us, too!" Esmeria grinned again, ears perked up in happiness.
The group then proceeded to head for the mouth of one of the little caves. This cave was skirted by several molten lava geysers, so if there was water around here, it would most definitely be hot enough for a hot tub pool.
Esmeria stopped Venice and Rissia and everyone got their own hot water detector. Into the mouth of the cave they disappeared, each Creatu with only one flashlight in hand. "Hey! Everyone! I think I've found something!" shouted Rissia soon after they dove into darkness. Indeed, everyone could hear that her detector was beeping rapidly, so it sensed hot water somewhere nearby. Everyone gathered together with their flashlights to come and look for themselves. What they saw when there was enough light was horrifying to them. A huge feral Veram lay sleeping up against one of the cave walls, just on top of the spot that blinked on the detector's mini map. "Uh-oh..." all three whispered in unison as the Veram began to stir. The three ran for dear life to avoid any contact with the Veram but did not escape before it got up on all fours and began to chase them through the cave. In the wild chase, everyone was separated and at some point, Esmeria dropped her flashlight and passed out.
When Esmeria awoke, she found herself laying in a patch of grass. Funny, because grass could not possibly grow anywhere on Rieflem. She looked over her shoulder and saw the mouth of a stone cave. Upon seeing this, she realized that she must still be on Rieflem. "Rissia?! Venice?! Where are you guys?!" she shouted. No answer came, only an echo. Esmeria's ears picked up on the sound of near-boiling water and she turned to see a huge hot spring! Wonderful! She and her friends would not have to dig for anything! That is... IF her friends were still alive.
Esmeria quickly looked around before bounding back into the cave. She did not care whether or not she had a flashlight. She was not going to be scared of anything. She needed to find her friends.
Esmeria had not been running around for long before she crashed into something large, warm and furry. She listened carefully to it's breathing before making any movements. The breathing was long and heavy, like that of a huge tired out Creatu. She shivered. It must have been the Veram that chased them.
Esmeria continued in another direction, using her ears to listen for the movements of any smaller Creatu not much bigger than herself. She picked up the pitter-patter of webbed feet and followed that until she bumped into Rissia. "Ow!" Rissia cried out. "Sorry! Its me. Esmeria. Do you know where Venice went?" Esmeria questioned. Rissia was silent for a moment. "I have absolutely no idea. I've been looking for you both." she sighed.
Meanwhile, poor Venice was being squished by the weight of the now sleeping Veram which had chased them. It had tripped over him in the skirmish and fallen right to sleep instead of getting up.
Esmeria giggled a bit. "I'll bet he ran all the way out to the other side, hes always so scared." she smiled, although of course Rissia could not see without her flashlight. But Rissia knew she was smiling, so she smiled as well and answered "Most llikely. If hes not out there, I don't know where he could be.". The two made their way with some time back to the entrance to look for Venice. To their dismay, he was nowhere to be seen around the wagon, nor could he be found around the corners of the outer-cave. This concerned them both deeply. If he was not outside, he must still be somewhere lost inside the cave or worse. The 'worse' option was something neither of them wanted to think about at all.
Esmeria and Rissia ventured back into the cave to search again. While they searched, Esmeria brought up the hot tub. "Rissia, I think I've solved our other problem." she said. "You have? How?" Rissia wondered aloud. "Well, I've found this hot springs in the back of the cave somewhere. You know where we found the Veram? If you take the middle path straight through his house and then take the fork in the cave to the right, you'll come to another cave opening, which takes you out to the hot springs!" Esmeria said, proud of herself. "Hmmm... Well, that could be the reason we were attacked. If this is the only existing hot spring in Rieflem, I could imagine someone being so protective of it." Rissia thought aloud in replying to Esmeria.
"I suppose so-oh!" Esmeria made a surprised sound before finishing her sentence, as she had again bumped into the Veram that they had encountered. "Do you think Venice is under the Veram???" said Esmeria as she regained her balance. "That may be possible. Lets check." Rissia replied as she bent down to attempt to lift the Veram up a bit. When even just a little bit of the Creatu was lifted up, Venice gasped for air and said "I've been trapped... Please get me out from under here.... But don't... Wake him... Up..." between breaths. "Don't worry, Venice. We'll find a way." Rissia assured him before turning to Esmeria. "Esmeria, is there anyway to scare off a Veram? I figured you might know since you live with one named Toxifur." Rissia asked. "Well, random, extremely loud noises sometimes spazz them out enough." Esmeria thought aloud to reply to her friend. "Alright well, lets try screaming. One! Two! THREE!" Rissia counted and both of them screamed in unison. The Veram woke up with a start and went running and yelping towards the hot springs, disappearing into the depths of the cave.
Venice stood up and regained his breath. "Thanks, you two. I don't think I would have survived much longer if you hadn't found me." he said a bit weakly. "Its no problem. But I wonder where that Veram got off to?" Rissia asked. "No idea. But wherever it went, lets not follow it. Lets just go home and call it a day." Esmeria sighed. "Sounds good to me!" both of her friends answered.
The three of them then headed for the entrance of the cave.

The end!

Atquati Waves ~ Volume 1

The Potions Factory

Beep!Brring!

The alarm clock sounded, muffled by the many layers of blankets on the frankly oversized bed. It took quite a lot of creaking and groaning from the person moving on the bed to wake the natural Gondra sleeping below it.

Leife awoke, her hed jerking upwards and sending a shower of green scales down over her body. Crawling out from under the bed, she shook her cramped wings and beat them to give her a boost onto the bed.

The bed was unbelievably soft, springy, and poofy. Her feet sank low into the material, so low that she was more bouncing than walking. Shafts of sunlight filtered through the curtains, dancing on the mahogany bedspread, and illuminating Leife's master's face.

He was a young man, around the age of 30, and his hair was milky white, as his eyes were red. A human albino. Leife didn't really understand him much. She just followed orders. They lived in a enormous mansion on the edge of town, and her owner ran a potions factory, which specialized in inventing new, dangerous potions. When she reached him, he didn't even look up, but ordered, "Make me breakfast." Leife nodded and flew haphazardly into the kitchen.

When she had finished making pancakes, the only breakfast meal she knew how to make, she pulled a bottle of maple syrup out of the pantry. As she was carrying it down the narrow hallway, which barely fit her size, she heard a boom from her master's bedroom. She jumped and dropped the tray, which twisted upside-down lazily as it fell, the spoiled food making a dull squish as it clunked and mashed onto the floor. Leife beat her scaly wings, and sailed through the remainder of the hallway, rushing to her master, which she was condemned to serve for her entire life. Long story short, she had belonged to an illegal creatu dealer, had comitted a misloyal act towards him, been but on auction as a slave, and had been bought for $40 tu.

Leife found her master poised on the edge of the bed, slouching over, now fully dressed in a tuxedo and khaki pants, his hair neat and his teeth shining. Though Leife wasn't exactly fond of him, she was a creatu, and it was her nature to comfort someone who was feeling down, so she glided over and hovered near his shoulder. Then she saw what had made the loud noise she had heard in the hallway.

A suitcase, packed to the brim with clothes, books, and other daily necessities; had fallen to the floor. It had spilled half its contents over the carpet, and her master showed no sign of picking them up, so Leife set to work, repacking the bag and folding the clothes neatly. She then hauled it up onto the bed beside her master, who stared sulkily at her. He wasn't fond of her either, but he needed the help, and he was grateful, providing her with a place to sleep, food, and occasional play-time in return.

He then lifted the suitcase and carried it over his shoulder down the hallway, Leife following in morose silence behind him. When he saw the food, her master shrugged and stepped over it, muttering, "I'm not hungry."

I will finish this soon...

"Awaken." I was summoned by master Dalex. I peered through my slowly opening eyelid, seeing the impatient master with his hands folded behind his back. I sat up. "Slaveries." He began, addressing me by my hated name. I could barely see him through the thick criss-crossing metal wires of my cage. "I have a...present for you." No. This can't be happening. The day I had been dreading my whole life was about to come true.
I struggled, thrashing against the cold bars. "It seems you already know. Did the former inmates tell you? Those Creatu were complete liars, spreading untrue rumors. But maybe, if you're behavior is really good, I'll take you to the facility instead." My eyes widened. The facility was worse than this, much worse. I remembered being there as a pup.

I sat on the freezing floor, the restraints of the cage keeping me from running away. I stared blankly at the peeling faded walls, which were layered with dirt and dried blood. I slunk away from the coughing, infected pets around me and tried to breathe through my nose the best I could. Infection spreads like a bad rash here. "Say your goodbyes, young one." A mentally challenged elder spoke to me. I didn't think he was insane, I thought he was wise. "They're coming for me, aren't they?" The elder shook his head. "No." The Creatu said no more, settled down and shut his eyes. "Don't listen to that old kook. He's nothing but a bundle of trouble." An unknown voice scoffed. "Danny did die as I predicted." He replied softly. "Yes he died because you freaking (edited for language) murdered him!" The voice spat angrily. The elder shook his head. "You are lucky. You have a clean future, but I sense a dark aurora haunting your past." He admitted. "Bull*censored*! If you were so damn smart you wouldn't be here, locked up in this cage slowly dying!" The voice yelled. I shrunk back even further into the back of my cage. Suddenly, the door flew open. "They" were here. I prepared for the metal brace to clamp around my neck, to hear the rusty hinges of my cage squeak open before I was taken away. But, it wasn't me who was taken away. "MOM!" I cried, desperately clawing at the cage bars. "I love you!" She shouted. "NO! NO!" I yelled. The neck brace clamped hard around her neck and she was shoved into a metal box and was taken away, forever. "Mom..." I choked. "I love you too." I whispered.

Two years after my mother was whisked away, I was taken in my master Dalex. He admired my strange name and treated me a little kinder than most would. I usually sat in my cage and ate slop and slept. On rare occasions I was allowed to roam through the house, restricted by a leash. My job was to catch insects and get rid of the infestation problem that haunted the house. "Master." I was on the verge of tears. "Please, please, do not do this to me. Or send me back to that horrible place. I-I always try to be the best I can be, I swear." I stammered. His face softened. "I know you always have tried your best. Your clever, smart even. Surprised, yes? I can see the fear in your eyes. I promise to make this as painless as possible." He smiled, but not warmly. It was almost a smirk. "No." I said firmly. "Don't bother to make it as painless as possible. Go ahead and make me suffer. Day and day out, you rid of innocent beings who help you as much as they can. You're a monster. A sick, delusional monster. I would have been better off dead in the facility. No matter how much I suffer, you will have to live with the feeling that you killed innocent creatures. We meant no harm and you repay us by taking our lives!" I spat, frustration boiling inside me. "You care of nothing but your damned money! You have no feelings for others!" I was screaming now. "Why you little-." The moment I saw the glint of silver, I lunged on top of Dalex's arm and out the cage. "You know what, SCRAM! Damn you to hell!" Dalex yelled at me.

As I escaped to the safety of the wilderness, only one thought went through my mind.
I was free.

Predator
Chapter 1

Screams. Accora turned toward the sound, ready to strike. It was another attack by the Miaga'. The full moon shone down into the alley Accora was in as she looked carefully all around her, examining the area, listening for the sound of beating wings. Another scream. Towards her right. Accora quickly fled down the alley, lightning sparking underneath her paws at each step. The alley opened up into a park, lit up by the lamps scattered around. Accora hurriedly scurried under a nearby bench, looking for any sign of a struggle while trying to stay out of sight. As she stared ahead of her she noticed scuffs in the dirt and specks of blood dotting the area in and around them.  Accora slowly inched forward and put her paw in the blood, dry, old. Where was that scream coming from then? Accora stood up, following the tracks. It must of been a pack of Scriles' that were here, small birds that tend to feed on the flowers that grow around this park. An odd choice of prey for the Miaga'. They must be growing desperate.

The beating of wings, the faint sound of breathing. It was all familiar to Accora, it meant a Miaga was nearby. Accora crouched, her heart was now beating two times as fast as it was before. For one bite from a Miaga meant certain death. Accora looked around her for a glint of distorted light. That was the only way to see a Miaga before they decided to attack such as old rumors told. But what is it doing here? It cannot be preying on me. Can it? Finally Accora saw the glint of its wing and started to trace everywhere the Miaga went. She glanced up, trying to move as little as possible, watching as the Miaga fly in circles far above the ground, right over her. Accora studied it carefully, tracking its movements to see what it saw. Although within a minute, the creature beat its wings one last time, and it disappeared into the night. A stray Miaga. It was never heard of. Either it was suicidal or starving. I must report this to Acryo.
