So this story does not include an epic adventure, a blossoming romance or anything action packed or intense (please do not suggest anything similar to this ^^;). Neither am I ever going to write it. This is a story I have been think about over the past half year which I would hope to sc
ript, storyboard and make it into a short (or longer) film in the distant future. Basically this story dedicated to my dog, whom will chase anything that is round or looks like a ball. This thing is really personal, but I'm really stuck for ideas. So help?
This is what I've got so far:
Okay, the opening scene is of a man, around the age of 23 or so. He's trying to create something so he could make a start in his new career and he is writing/drawing something. Probably a novel or a blueprint (probably for some invention) of some sort. You can see his dog (a corgi) lying on the floor near his desk. The man soon starts to dislike what he is doing and begins to scrunch it up. The dog hears the scrunching sounds and responds by standing up looking attentively at his owner. The man throws the paper at the bin and misses. The dog then runs towards the paper, picks it up and puts it by his owner's feet; where there is already a huge pile of scrunched up paper below his feet. The dog stares at his owner awaiting praise. The man then pets the dog, ignoring the paper and the corgi walks back to the place where he was lying before. The dog then waits for more paper to come and soon the owner throws another piece of paper away. The dog then repeats the cycle.
Soon the man thinks he should stop working for the day. Takes his gla.sses off and the dog sees this. The dog walks to the bathroom and picks up a toothbrush and gives it to his owner, with the brush end in his mouth. The man takes the toothbrush and puts it on the table, grabbing a spare one which is out of the dog's reach. He brushes his teeth and gets ready for bed. The dog immediately runs to his (the dog's) bed and stays there waiting for his owner. When the owner arrives, he gets into bed and just before he switches the lights off, the dog closes his eyes.
-----------
Alright, the idea behind this story is that the owner unintentionally trained his dog to do certain things with the stangest commands. Such as:
Scrunch up paper = Play time
Take off gla.sses = Master has to brush his teeth now, he's going to sleep
Reaching over to the light switch = It's time for both of us to sleep
The owner doesn't seem to notice this and thinks his dog is just strange. He bought a spare toothbrush because he knows his dog is going to grab the first one he sees, he leaves the one the dog takes in an obvious spot (to divert him).
I don't know whether to set this in the present day or in the 1920s. So help? I'm also very stuck with the plot, I'm not sure where to go after this. It's not meant to be a comedy either, it's just that the opening scene is a bit funny that's all.
If the whole thing sounds dodgey, please tell me D:
