My name is Calleigh or Calli for short. I am a sophomore at the House of Magic School for witches and wizards. My best friend, Mike, and I have gone to this school since we were like, ten. That was when we found out we were gifted with magical powers, at first it was quite a mystery as to why we were gifted. This story will tell you how we came to be and tell you exactly WHAT we are. I will start the story at the beginning, back when I was a girl of 10.

"Calli, wake up! It’s time for school! You know you are starting school today. Let's go! The bus will be here in 20 minutes!" My mom shouted up the stairs. I rolled over and looked up at my ceiling, grumbling. I did not want to get up and start school today. It was bad enough that I was going to a new school, but did I have to ride the bus? I mean, why couldn't my mother just drive me there??? Oh well. I got up stretching, and looked into the mirror.

I was really pretty, or so I thought. I had the kind of look that most girls at my old school would kill for. Slim, slender body, big chest, small rear, platinum blonde hair that shined, and the lightest cornflower blue eyes you could ever want. I looked in the mirror and glanced at my pajamas. 'Even in my pj's I look damned good!' I thought to myself.

I stood at the mirror for a few more seconds, trying to figure out what I wanted to wear to my new school. I knew almost instantly what I was going to wear. I knew that I wanted to make a great first impression but didn't want to seem too eager to fit in. I walked over to my closet and grabbed my black dress outfit. I call it a dress outfit because it is a black halter top that is skin tight with a slight v-neck, and a matching skirt. The skirt went halfway down my legs and had a slit up the sides to show off my wonderful legs. I threw my clothes on and looked for my platinum silver stiletto heels that made me look like I was 3 inches taller.

I had just finished doing my hair when my mom called up again.

"Calli! The bus is going to be here in about 5 minutes! Let's go!" I just smiled and grabbed my backpack, throwing it on as I ran down the stairs. I ran through the kitchen and out the front door. My skirt swooshed around my legs as I ran out towards the end of my driveway.

It was the first day at a new school and all I could think was 'I hope the bus doesn't forget to pick me up!' I smiled to myself and broke into a sudden nervous sweat when I saw the bus coming towards my house. I waited anxiously as the bus got closer and nearly fainted when it finally stopped in front of my house.

This bus was not like any other bus I have seen before. Instead of being yellow with black lettering, it was black with whit and blue lettering, and it had tinted windows!! I stared at the bus for a while, completely entranced with its appearance. However, the bus driver soon snapped me out of my daze.

"Are you getting on the bus or what?" I heard a male voice ask. I shook my head and looked at the bus driver.

"Well? Are you getting in?" He asked again.

"Umm…… Yeah, sorry. This bus is just really different then what I am used to." I told him innocently. The bus driver merely snorted in response as I got onto the bus.

I looked around the bus as the bus driver pulled away and looked for an empty seat. I saw one near the back and walked straight to it, ignoring everyone. I sank down into the seat and took my I Pod touch out of my backpack. I scrolled through the songs, looking for a particular one. I finally found it. I turned the music on, grabbed my novel, and got comfortable to read while jamming out to fifteen by Taylor Swift.

The bus stopped a few more times and each time we picked up four more students. At the very last stop I looked up and realized that there was someone standing next to my seat, looking at me. I slowly looked up and saw the sexiest guy I have ever seen.

I had no idea how tall he was, but he looked to be about 16 or 17 years old. He had golden brown (almost blonde) hair and dark, deep, blue eyes. I knew he was waiting for something so I paused my I pod and put down my book. I removed my ear buds and looked at him.

"May I sit here, or is this seat taken?" the guy asked, his voice soft and sexy. I glanced around quickly and saw that everyone was staring at me, waiting for me to answer.

"Umm…… Yeah, you can sit here." I told him and slid to the inside of the seat so he could sit down. The guy sat down, muttering a thanks and the chattering soon resumed. He turned towards me and opened his mouth to say something, but before he could the girl sitting in front of us turned around and started talking to him.

"Jason, hey! How are you? I haven't seen you in like forever. Are you feeling better? I came over yesterday to see you but your dad said you were sick?" I looked at the girl then at the guy, whose name was Jason, I guess.

"Hey Selena, I'm doing fine, and yes I am feeling much better, thank you. I know it has been a long time since we have last seen each other. How was your summer?" Jason asked Selena. He looked at me but I wasn't paying any attention, it looked like I had my I-Pod on again and I was reading my book. I was really reading my book and listening to their conversation.

Before Selena could answer, the bus stopped and the kids started to get off the bus. I watched as Selena and Jason got off and continued their conversation as they walked towards the school. I walked off the bus and looked at the school. It looked like a really big castle. 'Interesting' is all I could think. I started to walk into the school, not knowing where the office was.

I was highly aware of the attention I was getting from the guys as I walked into the school. I even heard some of them whistle. I knew that I looked good in my black dress outfit but I paid them no mind. I concentrated, instead, on getting to the office so I could register and get all my paperwork for school.

I looked around at the different doors trying to find the office when I walked straight into someone. At first glance I thought it was one of the teachers, but I soon realized it was Jason.

"Hey, I'm Jason. We sat on the bus together?" He said to me as he helped me get up off the ground. I nodded my head and started to brush off the dirt and dust from my outfit. I looked at him and smiled.

"Hi. My name is Calleigh, but you can call me Calli." I told him in a friendly tone. I looked Jason up and down and realized that he had to be almost 6 feet tall, at least.

"You look a bit lost. Is there anything I can do for you?" Jason asked me. I smiled knowing that if Selena found out he was talking to me, she would most likely flip her lid.

"Umm yeah. I need to find the office so I can register and get all my school papers. I can find it and I don't want to get you in trouble with your girlfriend." I told him shyly.

He looked at me quizzically. I heard him mutter "Girlfriend?" He looked up at me and knew almost instantly what I meant.

"Do you mean Selena? She is so NOT my girlfriend. She is just a really good friend and gets jealous a lot. She wants to date me but I am not interested in her at all." He told me flat out. I felt like a total retard.

"I'm sorry. The way she acted on the bus, I thought she was your girlfriend. I hope you will forgive me." I told him apologetically. Jason smiled and I could see his eyes twinkling with laughter.
