11 years ago she was in an acident that threatened her life, 2 years later she died in hospital Korey was so upset at the time because of what happened to his father the year earlier. 'A shared house is hell, ill probably have to share it with petty annoying girls' Korey thought to himself as he pulled up in front of his new home. "we've arrived" said the cab driver rather enthusiastically to him, Korey wasn't bothered about 'being here' nor did Korey 'want' to be here, it was something he had to do now, live alone. Korey pulled out his bags from the car and placed them on the kirb, he then went to the drivers window and knocked 3 times, the window zoomed down "here, keep the change" said Korey politely, the cab driver nodded then set off down the road.

A boy around about the same age as Korey came out of the house to get the post, he stopped and looked at Korey "you the new guy" said the boy, Korey nodded "i am, so who else lives here?" asked Korey "no one but me and you" replied the boy, Korey's face brightened up. A small black cat was sat on the path looking at the two boys "who are you?" said Korey picking up the black cat and cuddling it close "his names Banto, but he doesn't like strangers im afraid" explained the boy, "i see" said Korey upset at the comment since Korey was just a stranger after all, Banto looked up at Korey and purred, Korey put Banto down and stroked his silky sleek black head. 

Korey looked at his luggage piled up on the driveway, he walked over to it and started to pull it along the driveway towards the house. The black cat sat at the side of the path watching Korey through his emerald green eyes pull his things up the driveway. "Would you like some help there?" inquired Cain to Korey waving a hand at the remaining luggage that was obstructing the driveway, "sure please do" replied Korey with a smile.

Korey was showed to his new room where he dumped his belongings on the bed, the boy came into the room shortly after with two large heavy looking suit cases and plonked them in the middle of the room, then flung himself onto Korey's bed and laid next to him at this point Korey realized how beautiful the boy was "what's your name?" inquired Korey "ohh... the names Cain" replied Cain before asking "and you?", "the names Korey" replied Korey.

Cain had long tied-back silver hair that trailed down his back and ended at his belt line. His eyes were a crystal blue and they shimmered when they came into contact with the light, on his nose perched his oval silver-rimmed gla.s.ses which in a sense complimented his eyes by enlarging them. Cain had his right ear pierced, which held a silver stud earring with a longish-thin chain attached, ending with a small delicate silver reverse sword. Cain was rather smartly dressed to think he was at home, his getup consisted of a white formal well-ironed business top with silver polished cuff-links and a complimenting silver tie that blended nicely with his hair, over his shirt he wore a white vest with a small antique silver lining, over this he wore a white business blazer, he also wore white formal well-ironed dress pants with a matching white belt and white loafers, he looked like a high-cla.s.s.businessman.

Tea time came around the corner, Korey slowly made his way down the stairs his nose held high in the air sniffing up at the nice smell as he went. As Korey got into the kitchen he saw Cain leaning over the hob and stirring the contents of the rather large pot. Cain caught a glimpse of Korey through his right eye and turned around and smiled before notifying Korey that the food wasn't ready yet, Korey took a seat at the table and stared at Cain's back, watching him as he worked, although Cain was well aware that he was watching him. To lift the rather tense atmosphere he said "you want some coffee while we wait?" Korey just nodded towards him.

Cain walked over to the cupboards and opened one of them, he steadily pulled out two bowels, a plate, 2 cups and a saucer. Cain placed the bowls and plate on the side, turning round after placing them down and headed into the direction of the coffee machine, he filled the two cups to just below the brim and walked over to the table and placed one in front of Korey, before placing hes own cup down on the table, Cain then went to the fridge and pulled out the milk, slowly and carefully pouring into the saucer gently. He walked back over to the table after stirring the pot of food, he placed the saucer on the table and sat down across from Korey "Banto, milk" he shouted. Banto came flying into the kitchen and ran for the table, he stopped just before and did a short, yet timed elegant leap onto the table, then he strolled across the wooden oak table making his way towards the saucer of milk, he stopped when he got there and bent his little black head gently lapping at the cold milk with his delicate pink tongue Korey stared at Cain's clothes inquisitively, "why do you dress like that at home?" Korey finally inquired breaking the tense and quiet atmosphere, "i wear it because my job is being a novelist, it's for when im not at university, which you'll be joining i take it?" Cain Replied, "i will" said Korey with a half-smile lingering in the corner of his mouth, "why didn't you stay at the schools dorms then?" Cain asked "i can't afford those living expenses, it's much cheaper in this shared house" Korey replied, "i see" said Cain politely.

"Ohh my the foods ready" Cain said standing up and making his way over to the pot, he stirred it gently turning down the heat of the hob leaving it to simmer for a short while before completely turning it off. Korey got up and went behind Cain placing his hands on his back and standing on his tip toes to look over Cain's shoulder at the contents of the pot "Stew, my favorite" Korey said, "Im glad i made something you like" Cain replied with a smile, "anything you want me to do to help?" Korey asked Cain hopefully, "yes, take this plate and go butter a few slices of bread, 5 or so" Cain said holding the plate up to his shoulder, Korey took it happily and ran to the other work surface and buttered the bread.

Cain stood pouring a large serving of stew into both bowels, he watched Korey happily humming while buttering the bread, Cain smiled joyously. Korey brought the plate of buttered bread slices over to the already arranged table and placed them in the middle of them both, Cain was refilling the cups with their second helping of coffee, he headed back over to the table with the cups, yet again, giving one to Korey, who accepted it."That tasted so good" Korey complimented "thank you very much" Cain said blushing gently. They both made their way to the living room Cain laid on the sofa while Korey sat on the chair. The living room was a large rectangle it consisted mainly of the colors red and black. There was a large red leather sofa lying across one wall well away from the television and two small red leather chairs placed around the Television. In the middle of the room was a large black polished rectangular table with a red throw-over on it, on top of the table were 4 tall and thick black candles placed in a round red candle holder dish. The rooms walls were red with black curtains and a black carpet. Along the walls were black picture-less frames and at the very front of the room was the 45" black plasma screen TV.

"Night" Korey said to Cain as he wandered off to bed. Cain sat still on the chair "darn why did he have to read it!" Cain said angrily to himself "i just hope he saw through that lie, ive never been into girls and always longed for a man but he'd probably think that's weird right?" he questioned himself.
