Can't Name My Pet?

I hatched a ginger Goiba, but I can't name it. I typed in the name but the "finish hatching" button won't work.

Note: I think it might be a result of the update to the hatchery.

Are you sure the name doesn't contain a banned word and isn't taken?

Edit: Also, what browser are you using?

I was going to name it CinnamonGrenouilles  (Cinnamon Frog) and I'm using Chrome.

I think 15 characters is the max length you can name a pet. So that's probably why. Way too long of a name. XD

(EDIT BY STAFF: Since this post was made, the max character count has increased to 20 characters)

Ok - lets check this out for my little one! I wanted to name it Total Skylar. Wait?! Thats only 12 letters?! Any other suggestions?

Pet names can only have letters and numbers. If you remove that space, and the name isn't already taken, it will work.

it wont let me name my pets , and they are simple names like bobo myia and lile ?

Did you read this thread? The answer to why your names are not working is already here if you read up some. =)

Pet names must be 20 characters or less in length.
Pet names must consist of letters or numbers only.
Pet names can only be hatched once. If another pet already holds the name you want, like Bobo, Myia, or Lilie, then you have to choose another name that isn't owned by anyone else yet.

The naming box will turn GREEN when you have found a name that is available.

You can also access the Creatu Search, under the Information Menu, and search the site to see if a name has been taken or not.

i tried to name my gondra Lothlorienne, its not taken, no spaces or wrong characters, and the box just stays red?

I just tried typing the name in (didn't name it, just checked) and the box turned green for me. Sometimes there's lag so you have to wait a minute. Also, make sure you aren't using IE. It's a terrible browser, lol. Use Firefox or Google Chrome.
