I tried typing in a name for my newly hatched pet and the button that says continue or finish or whatever is grayed out and doesn't respond when you click on it. What's funny is when you hit the enter key, the name is entered and everything works fine but the button doesn't work.

I think you just have to wait, it's probably just lagging.
The button is greyed out whenever the name you've chosen is taken, or the box is empty. My internet is slow, so it can take a few moments for the box to ungrey and the "Available" message for the name to appear.
Pressing enter probably just bypasses the button lag.

I'm having the exact same issue, even pressing 'enter' doesn't help. I keep trying different strange names, even just slapping the keyboard to get random letters but the 'finish' button still won't work. I'm using Firefox if that helps.

It appears I'm having the same problem as well, now. =/ Both in Google Chrome and FireFox.

Same issue over here. I'm using firefox and trying to name a Natural Aukira. I tried Internet Explorer but that doesn't work either.

Phew, and for a second I thought I couldn't name the pet I just hatched because there was something wrong with my internetconnection. ^^

I cannot name pets.
AND I am also unable to buy anything from any shops.
The clothing icons (90x90px) are also not displaying for the dream avatar builder.

I am not having this problem with the regular naming system, but with using the Name Tag item to rename a pet. :| The button never activates, and hitting "enter" doesn't solve the problem. I know the name isn't taken, too, because I've run it through the Pet Search.
I am also using Firefox.
Edit: It just started working for me--I tried doing it on a different computer entirely. Maybe it is just a lag of some kind.

I hard refreshes and used a different browser but I am still having the same issue :/ I even logged in and out.
EDIT: After refreshing the page over and over it finally worked XD Prob major lag like you said. Thanks.

I'm no longer having the issue with naming pets, and I just bought something from an NPC shop, so I'm not having an issue with that either. It went away without me having to do anything, so maybe it was just some sort of system derp.
