New Search Function Issue

I'm experiencing a rather odd and kind of counterproductive glitch involving the new search function. When I attempt to search for mutants, it never seems to register that I put in the search for a mutant and instead shows me ones that... Well, that aren't mutant. I really want to find the prices other people are selling their mutants for so I can start getting rid of some of mine, but if I can't search for them then it's rather difficult to fairly price my Creatu.
Thank you for reading!
I really do hope this issue gets resolved in the near furture

I'm just having general problems with the search.  All it'll show me is one single page of creatu that aren't for sale.  If I put a price, even just a 1, then no creatu show up at all.  Kinda hard to price my creatu when I have no earthly clue what the norm might be.

I'm really hoping this gets fixed soon. Thanks.

Nalynas, it sounds like you aren't selecting rancher shops as the location to look for pets. If you choose that as the location to search it will display pets for sale.

Eastra your issue has been reported to the coders.

No, sorry.  I tried selecting "Rancher Shops", and now it doesn't show me anything at all.  I even tested, trying for one I happen to know I have in my own shop for sale, and the search results showed no creatu for sale - at all.  Not even for zero; used to be, there were pages and pages of creatu showing up as for sale for zero, but now there's nothing.

Selecting a price range brings up zero results.  Selecting 1 for lowest and leaving 'highest' blank produces zero results.  Leaving the price range blank produces zero results.  And I chose the specifics for a creatu species and colour I happen to have in my own shop, so it should have, at the very least, brought up the ones I have for sale.

No idea what else I could possibly be doing wrong, or not doing that I should do; is the search really that complicated? What am I missing?

That's very odd because I just tried with the exact specifications you gave me and it worked perfectly. Can you tell us the exact searches you're doing and the browser you are using? Include any add-ons you have for the browser as well.

I was searching for several different creatu, different colours and whatnot.  Just before I last posted, I was searching in Rancher Shops, for a skaldyr, color sepia, no effects, not mutated.  I use Mozilla Firefox 24.0 - it's the latest update as of this morning, and don't use any addons for it.

In fact, I just did it again, exactly as I've been doing it, and screen-capped the search page before hitting the 'query search' button, then screen-capped the results page.  Going to try to post the images here for you:

This is the way I've used the search for a long time, only difference being that I'm following the advice given a bit earlier in the thread, and specifying "rancher shops" rather than leaving it to search everywhere for the creatu.  To be honest, I'd love for it to be something I'm doing wrong, so I can just say 'boy was that dumb or what?', rather than have it be something wrong with the site.

Instead of selecting multiple options under Effects, select the "All" checkbox instead and it should work for you. Looks like there is an issue with that part of the search. You can still find pets with effects in the meantime though until it gets fixed - just hold down the CTRL key and select Effect under the Display option to include that column in the display of the results. I just tested this way and it works fine.

I'll report the issue with effects search to Cless; I'm sure he will fix it as soon as he's able to get to it. =)

I'll try it that way.  I'm looking for creatu without any effects, just to clarify, but I'm glad it's something minor - I was kinda hoping it was just me being a doofus XD

Edited to add: there doesn't seem to be an option for selectiing no effects - for just normal creatu. There's the "any" check box, and then the various ones listed; when I un-check the box, it highlights everything anyway, and all I'm trying to do is tell the search to locate normal creatu, without any effects at all.

Just check Any, it will show results whether or not they have an effect. The ones without an effect are going to be nearer the top of your results anyway if you're ordering by price ascending.
