So um, I'm one of those people who doesn't like to let people know when it's my birthday, because it just feels to me like in doing so I'm asking for presents or something. I know that with most people that's usually really not the case when they publicize their birthday, but it's just a personal idiosyncrasy. I don't feel comfortable with it.
(That and the fact that I think a lot of people on this site tend to have a rather negative opinion of me in general, so I just don't like to publicize myself a lot period...but anyway..)
As a result, of course, none of my respals ever know it's my birthday. And while I don't feel comfortable extending my feelers for well-wishes, I do enjoy being patted on the back every once in a while. I know I'm not the only one out there who keeps to themselves like that, and I'm pretty certain that a lot of them face much the same problems.
My suggestion? Add a daily birthday list. Just something simple, not fancy, Pure text. Like what they have on message boards.
"The following members have birthdays today!: username1, username2, username3, etc.."
You already have all of our birthdates on file, why not put them to use?
