Normal User Posts: 221	Just wanted to make a suggestion regarding the name clearings to see if it might be feasible, and help out people who might really really want a pet have a better chance at getting it. Right now, anyone can go in and purchase 1 ticket per pet and they can get 1 ticket for every pet as long as they have the tu. It makes it fair, but it can also be very frustrating for someone who might see a name or pet they really want and there is no way for them to up their chances for just that one pet. Even if they don't care about any other pet in that current batch. Due to this, I am proposed a ticket-buying system...kind of similar to the lottery, but not really? I think people should be able to purchase a certain amount of tickets each week with tu, then the pets can have a ticket price instead of a tu price. So, for example: A prehistoric pet might be worth 2 tickets, while a regular pet is worth one. On top of this, allow people to spend more than one ticket to up their chances at getting the pet. For example: You can submit a maximum of 10 tickets in total. You can either put all 10 tickets into one pet, or spread them out if you want more than one pet, so 1 ticket on this pet, 3 tickets on this pet, 2 on this one, and 4 on this pet....if that makes sense. Just an idea to give people an ability to overbid on the pets that they may really want. I believe it would still be fair since everyone can buy the same number of tickets and spend the same number of tickets each week. They just will be able to put more tickets onto a pet they really want to increase their chances of getting that pet, plus people might be more careful about choosing which pets they want instead of buying 1 ticket for every pet to have a chance at getting something.

Content Manager Posts: 3,132	We considered all options when designing the name clearing feature and decided that one ticket per person would be the most fair for everyone. I can bring this up to staff but do know that it was an avenue we looked at :]

Normal User Posts: 221	I don't know how you figure that ones with the most tu would get everything, when there is still a cap on how many tickets you could purchase/use every week.

Normal User Posts: 303	No support. I think the current system is the most fair to everyone, new and old. Not everyone can have every name that is special to them. I suggest that if you are missing out on names that are special to you then keep track of the creatus ID number, find out who the new owner is and see if you can work out a deal with them. I know that if I bid on a name and won it and someone Rmailed me about it being a special name to them I'd work out a deal with them if the name wasn't also special to me. Normal User Posts: 1,273	Support. There's no reason to think this would favor richer players? They stated it would be a maximum of 10 tickets per week for every player. No rich player would be able to get more tickets than someone else. That also doesn't mean the tickets would be outrageously expensive. I'd argue this actually feels like it would be MORE fair to less rich players, because the cost of a credit shop pet ticket being in the millions range as it currently is is a deterrent to poorer player who may not be able to afford to risk bidding that much on a single pet with no guarantee of getting something. Plus poorer player not being able to afford to bid on EVERY pet they want right now, where rich players can.

Normal User Posts: 221	Thanks for the support, Toxo. I'm still not understanding why people think the system would favor the richer players since there is a ticket cap. I think the current system favors the richer players more as it is now. Newer players aren't going to be able to bid over a million on a pet they might want in the name clearings. Make the tickets all the same low price and cap the tickets you can buy each week. I'm not sure if I'm not being clear or what.
