Hey guys: The SB has been flooded with new creatu ideas lately... well, share your ideas with Patrick and the staffers! I'll post the most popular ideas here once in a while after counting up about how many people like those ideas... Don't think of useless, silly ideas... and we don't need more junky pets that nobody really wants... so lets think of a REALLY great idea, ok guys? Well, have fun thinking! I know we said no more dogs, but. What about like, a three-headed dog? <3 Or a multi-headed snake? Those could be very nice, and if the snake was based on say a hydra, we'd get in another aquatic pet. Also, people seem to like the more dark, alien creatu, like Wyrae/Ivik/Ebilia. More undead-ness could be cool, or something totally, like I said before, alien. Oh, maybe something bioluminescent! ^-^ Just throwing out ideas. :D |

Teeny: Cool ideas! I think they're great! I'm just throwing stuff out there.... but... Basic animals that have not been developed into creatu (As far as I know - correct me if I'm wrong): -Girraffe -Squirrel -Cow -Monkey -Dragon -Frog -Toad -Ferret -Hamster -Rat -Mouse -Beaver -Coyote (I know we said no dogs but... some thin, emaciated evil-looking one? Lol XD) -Heyena (Once again, a dog-themed one that actually would be cool) -Actual fish -Koala/panda etc. (Only bear we have is berrok.... which is ugly poo....) OOH OOH! Some RABID ANIMAL! :D :D :D

:) i also think fennec fox but i think its wayyy too cute even when its evil so i dont think anyone would like that kinda creatu lol The Elephant should so be the next creatu! <3

Ezahni are like Giraffe. Valabex are kinda like cow Ardurs and gondras are like dragons Goibas are forgs/toads Chimbys are kinda like rodents, but we do need a different rodent Cyid are like fish... So a lot of your ideas have already been semi-made :P Just saying.

The Cyid is a fish. It's pretty much a koi carp.
I totally back the idea for a Hydra, or anything mystical/mythical based, since it gives the artist a lot of leeway, and in my opinion some of the best creatu have got animal elements but arent confined as 'dog like' or anything, like the Omni and the Wyrae. Having said that, here are some creatures that I think inspiration could be drawn from:
Chimera: three headed, usually a lion, goat and snake. But it could be anything really.
Griffin: someone else suggested this in the SB and I think its a good idea, it could be evil or cute really easily
Kraken: lots of people were talking about more aquatic creatures, squiddy with teeth.
Harpy: we only have two birdlike things that I can think of, so it could be an evil bird, with an element of some other animal instead of human, and we could call it a Banshee, since that sounds cool
Chinese dragon: People were talking a lot about another snakelike creatu, and you could, whip of the legs or something, maybe just draw inspiration from the face?
Anyway, thats my input :3 Also I feel I should say, there was a lot of talk about insect type creatures, or *shudders* spiders. Though someone else did say something about a spider brain thing. Which is kinda cool.
Actually, anything giant brained sounds really cool. |

I agree with ArcaneWolf, but I think xee said something about a scorpion in the process of being made (don't quote me on that) but yeah. I think an alligator would be awesome. Or maybe a Gharial! :D Just to be different than just a simple alligator/crocodile. We just really need more reptile/insect-based creatu on the site.

This is my creatu idea from Riyo's win a mill :3 Creepy creatu FTW! Anyway.... ...It has a thin body, you can see its ribs, similar to the body of a greyhound. It has long thin legs and its feet are made up of 3 toes. 2 at the front, 1 at the back with longish black claws. It has two tails, long and whip like with blade like tips. It also has two heads, one is rather like a skull, it's face has no emotion and it's mouth usually hangs open with it's blue tongue hanging out in a dream like state. This head represents death and is much more inactive than it's other head. The second head is much different, it has a large muzzel with a long purple tongue and sharp teeth. Its eyes are long and thing and glow bright yellow with no pupils. this head is usually snarling and is very aggressive. It represents anger and hatred. the 1st head has no eyes, yet has large ears which the creature does all the hearing with, and the second head has the eyes to see with, yet has no ears. Last of all, the creature has sharp jagged spines emerging the top of the second head's neck going down the the middle of the creature's back, which are made of bone. The main colour of the creature is a dark murky green, but it can switch colours to black to hide itself in the dark and stalk it's prey. As for younger forms, the baby starts off with just one tail, and one main head. The baby's personality depends on which head is dominant. If the head which represents hatred is dominant, the baby is mad and shows no emotion other than anger. It attempts to destroy everything it sees, so extreme caution must be taken when handling the creature. Although if the head that represents death is dominant, then the baby will be much more placid. It will bond better with it's owner and protect it, yet if it feels that it's master or itself is being threatened, it will bring an instant doom to what has caused threat. during the teen stage, the less dominant head begins to grow more and the creature begins to even out. A second tail emerges but the blades are not yet visable, and the spines on its back begin to appear. Unfortunately i dont have a name for it yet or any more designs for it such as skin/fur patterns, but here is a reference of what i've draw up so far: http://oi51.tinypic.com/iq9fcw.jpg The creature SHOULD have a dark aura around it and the floor decays and burns away where it walks, although i haven't drawn that yet.

ferniio: WOW. o.o That's a mouthful. And people on Res seem to tilt towards the darker, creepier creatu, so your idea seems like a winner! Ding ding ding! Lol. Cool drawing, great deion, I can totally picture it! :) Fawkes: You have a point, BUT.... The ezahni is a horselike creatu to me, not girraffelike. Valabex? Cow? Not seeing resemblence... Lol... Hatter: I like the Chemera idea. Cool. :D Arcane, Reaper and Fireaux: All cool ideas... the staff should take 'em into account.

A bearable amount ofAmphibians, but 1 fish. And it's awesome, but lonely. :c We need Cowfish in the food chain, not because he's vital to the survival of the ecosystem, but so that he can make the other creatu not-lonely. (Because they are in the presence of one awesome fish.) |
