Though the Patripus may seem like an adorable and loving animal, these Creatu are well equipped for whatever harsh conditions that they may encounter throughout their lives. Even if they are strangely built and somewhat stocky, when Patripus’ are full grown they develop talons on their duck-like feet, and with their good swimming endurance and agility through the water they can get some distance. Found in the more shallow basins of water that reside in Atquati, the Patripus thrives manly on eating moss and algae, which ultimately explains the reason that its pelt is such a greenish tone. Because these Creatu are herbivores and eat plants, the green colorings of its coat allow the Patripus to evade most of the larger Creatu that prey on them, even though they are indeed a very rare species due to the fact they are known to breed only around St. Patricks Day. When they are first hatched, a adolescent Patripus only has two leaves on the clover resembling design located on it’s forhead, and the older it becomes the more leaves tend to sprout. At the teen age, they have three leaves, and when fully grown they have four. Because of the luck surrounding four-leafed clovers, many people say that having one around is bound to create luck for anyone with enough will to receive it.
