Ok so yesterday I bought a total of 50k shares of the Stock STA which was at the price of 4. This cost me: 211, 779TU

Today, the stock was still at a price of 4/share. So i decided to use the rest of my TU$$$ to buy another 50k shares. However this time it cost me: 219, 082TU

If the price/share was the same, why did it cost me more this time?? in reality if the price is 4 it should have cost me 200k for 50k shares... but it cost more both times?

Stocks have a decimal value too, it just isn't shown for purposes of clarity. The decimal value was obviously higher on the 2nd purchase than on the first. If you look at the value of the first purchase and do some calculation (211779/50000) the answer is 4.23558, which would be the actual value per share of the stock. That is just rounded down to 4.

In the second purchase, calculate again (219082/50000) and you get 4.38164, which again, is rounded down to 4 for simplicity.
