What are "genderless" pets?

I just saw some in 14brokenmirrors's showroom and was wondering why...
Edit: Oops this is in wrong category. I meant for it to go in Support. FAILXD

Moved to a more appropriate category :) 

Genderless pets are caused by a glitch when we were moving from V1 to V2. In V1, you could choose your pet's gender after hatching, and when we moved to V2, the unhatched V1 pets had no gender to hatch into so they remained genderless. :)
