Ooc:// Vampires are my strongest point but not many people like how I portray them. No they arn't sparkly like twilight. Here are my vampire standards:
I'm okay with a Vampire and Human romance, but if the human is all "turn me! turn me!" or is all depressed and sad that their life is so horrible they want to get away from it, I find it rather annoying and will drop the Rp immediatly. I find the movie 'Interview with a Vampire' the best to portray Vampire/Human romance although Yes I know that Louis and Lestat wern't...lovers, but you get the basic point. Lestat used Louis in order to have a companion but alas, Louis had NO clue what he was in for which brought a very intersting plot to the story instantly regretting his decision.
Vampires are refined and dignified. They know how to fit in with society and do not just go around mauling people. There are no vegetarian vampires. Yes they can control their thirst only to an extent though. If they go without blood for a great amount of time they will become extremly weak and not be able to function. They do not go crazy when feeding....again I revert back to the movie 'Interview with a vampire' for their feeding. It is a bite, or well...not just a bite, they tend to make quite a nasty mark. Not just two puncture marks but more like the skin is torn in order to get enough blood and open the wound. (Sorry if this is too detailed)
A human is not turned into a vampire by just a simple bite. (My biggest pet peeve) They must be drained till near death and once at this state, the vampire must let that person drink their own blood in order to be turned. It also doesn't happen in a matter of minutes like the movies nor is it not painful. Your body has to die , thus it is an extremly painful process and takes time (Aprox. 2 days).
The vampire that changes the human is called a 'Sire' which means that vampire is responsable for teaching the human what it means to be a vampire. If the vampire does not and just lets the creature run around like a blood crazed maniac that vampire is automatically put to an end along with it's creation by a council (No this does not take after twilight....It takes after 'Interview with a vampire')
The newborn vampire has a lack of control when it comes to the need for blood. They can get out of control if the sire does not teach them patience and self control. A newborn is stronger than their sire but only for about two days, but that does not mean that they can kill their sire. If they kill their sire, they kill themselves. They have a special blood bond.
Their senses are stronger. They can smell better, hear better, and see better. The world looks different to a vampire than it does to a human.
Sunlight does not kill a vampire but does give them severe headaches and causes them pain. It isn't unbarable though but just an uncomfortable feeling. With gla.sses and a dark coat covering their body (trench coat of some sort) they are safe but only for a limited amount of time. They can't go more than two hours at a time in sunlight, they must have time to let their body recoporate between hours if they plan to be out during the day. (takes after 'moonlight')
Stakes don't kill vampires but paralize them until the stake is pulled out of their heart. Garlic has no effect, it just gives them bad breath like any human. They must be invited in, in order to step foot in a house. Crosses have no effect, they just make nice decorations. Holy water doesn't work but it will make them mad because you just got them wet. Not being able to step foot in a church or holy land, I don't really follow this in fact I find it midly entertaining people confuse them with the devil. They are killed by being paralized (with a stake) and then decapitated. Their body must be burned after this in order to make sure they are really dead. You can't just burn a vampire and expect it to die. (Based off of 'Moonlight')
They do not turn into bats or any animal.
Vampires (in my roleplays) eyes can change based upon their personality and mood. I have a color chart for the different colors and moods...I just don't feel like posting it right this moment. They kep their originial eye color though from when they were human and their apearance is the same except their hair is exactly like it was when they died. If the vampires hair was striaght, it's forever straight. There is no changing it. A vampire may not cut their hair or change their appearance, if they try it will just turn back to how they looked when they died. Yes they are without blimishes and things of that nature, but that's expected. (Inspired off of 'Interview with a Vampire'.
Vampire's don't normally keep companions although it is very lonely at times. Some may change a human just to keep them company for a short period of time, before they turn and kill them. It is normal. They also are not allowed to change children under 10 into vampires. (I actually suport the girl on 'Interview with a vampire'. She was adorable ^.^ ) If children are changed it does bring drama and I find it extremly adorable. <3
If you have any questions please ask. ^.^ I may have forgot a few things so yeah. Sorry it's so long...and see? I'm extremly picky. Sorry.
