A new battle… between the mind and soul, to never be in sync again.
1x1 with Stray and CH.
We know the plan, yo.
Willow Dibs (Willa)
19 | Female | Werewolf | Her Vibe
Likes: Reading, trees Dislikes: Spontaneity, liturgical music, being cold
About: Willow is less developed but this is at least a bit of a foundation. I see her as a tender girl with not much experience in her back pocket. She’s innocent, and this journey of hers, being a werewolf with no control, is a story of her eyes seeing things she never even could imagine before. She's a character who will help me explore that sort of inner darkness that is in even the purest of people.
There are parts of the world, and life, she hadn’t seen. Unlike Heather, she doesn’t mind her innocence and has no desire to do anything but hide away in the shame of who she is, reading, writing, exploring any world other than her own reality. She would have preferred to stay who she was: simple, unnoticed, ordinary.
The turn has (or will, it matters when the timeline of the role play starts) changed her personality. She isolates herself. But before the turn, when she was human, there was a curiosity in her to explore. She was sociable and had a dry humor that caught people by surprise. The impatience to see the world ran deep and she wanted more depth to her life.
Other details for this role play: I'm thinking her family will be baker's in the village. She has a brother (Brandon) and both parents are living (Maria and Peter). They have kept out of public eye, living a peaceful life. They have bake competitions and lots of celebrations. Willow has been picky, but her parents are patient in their courting her daughter away. Mostly because one wealthy and put together man has been willing to wait and pursue. Willow has been hard to read, but he enjoys the chase of it. Her aunts and uncles live close by. Everything is perfectly neat, but everything so clean can become so easily shattered.
Ooc; I honestly haven't decided if I'll start before or after her turn. I was wondering if you'd be able to write your intro first so I can see what would fit best with what was happening. Would that be okay? Lol.

Name :: Zakhar Belyakov
Gender :: Male
Age :: 24
Species :: Human
Orientation :: Bisexual
Relationships :: He's had multiple throughout the years, but due to his life as a Hunter none have lasted.
Personality :: Unlike most of his brothers, Zakhar is the opposite of stoic and level-headed. He's always doing the unexpected instead, Mac-gyvering his way out of situations using charm, cunning, or the resources around him. He's always working on breaking the perceived image that Hunters are nothing more than bull-headed brutes and hates being seen as nothing more than a thug. So he's pretty particular about his image and uses his suave personality and good looks to do most of his work. This makes him a good grifter, which is useful in his line of work. And of course, if that does not work he's always got some sort of hair-brained scheme up his sleeve. Be it jumping from a fifth floor balcony into the pool below, or a releasing a herd of cattle upon an unsuspecting enemy as a distraction. Zakhar's well known in his family for being the one to blow things up or wreck havoc. He's a little too unpredictable to ever rank up in his clan, which rankles him a bit, but he also likes the freedom from time to time that's allowed by being a grifter.
Zakhar is a bit of a scamp with a misleading smile and a rather peculiar sense of humor. Quick to laugh and just as quick to start a fight, Zakhar loves the high from an adrenaline rush so is more than happy to seek out adventure. Which often lands him in trouble. Basically, he's all charm and flashy grins until crap hits the fan, then he's causing as much mayhem as he can. In day to day settings he's pretty jovial and talkative, though quick to snark and make rude comments when he deems them necessary. Which is pretty much all the time, It's hard to get a read on Zakhar, to know where you stand with him. You might think he's your best friend until he sticks a knife into your back, or he might seem like an enemy until he saves you at the last second. However, if you gain his loyalty he's defensive of that person and will do whatever he can to please them. This can cause problems between him and his family, because choosing between them would tear him apart. At the end of the day, though he loves the fight he's more of a lover at heart.
((Zakhar's actually pretty new to me, so I'm still working out some kinks in his personality.))
History :: Zakhar's grandfather taught Andon, Zakhar's father, everything he knew about tracking and killing the supernatural - who in turn taught all of his sons. These lessons not only included simply how to kill monsters, but other things that are important to surviving in their line of work. Tracking, stealing, breaking-and-entering, and Zakhar's personal favorite, grifting. Grifting is basically swindling and fraud in order to gain money, information, allies, and information. It's becoming a character in order to gain something. With his charisma and suave personality he's good at it and enjoys it. Because Zakhar's known nothing but the hunters life he perceives a 'normal' one as boring and monotonous. He lives for the chase, for the fight; but he also wants nothing more than to make Andon proud.
Zakhar grew up on the wealthier side of the economy, but has done jobs throughout the country as well. Typically though, he prefers to stick a bit closer to home. He's usually the one to track down information on the supernatural, and calls in someone else to do the kill since that's not what his main training was in. That does not mean he cannot fight, however - he's better with knives and his fists to longer ranged weapons such as swords or a bow and arrows. But you put him next to a Hunter whose trained specifically to kill monsters and he does not stand a chance.

My knee was itchy. My head was pounding. There was a big knot in my hair, right at the nape of my neck, hurting me with every turn and pull of my head. Goosebumps grew like dominoes over my back and legs as the wind swayed on by. My knee was so very itchy. I instinctively rubbed it on the hard surface beneath me, begging for the burning feeling to leave but that only made it worse. I lifted my head, wincing and squinting my eyes as the morning sun burned bright. My tongue felt rough and dry. I gripped dirt as I tried to stand and paused. Where am I? I looked down to see the dirt in my hands and gasped. Finding myself naked beneath the shadow of tall trees, I stood in fear and covered myself as best I could with my arms. My lip trembled, every noise made me turn every which way in fear of being seen. I scanned my surroundings in search for any sign of my night dress. With just my eyes, though. The anxiety of the moment had my body stuck like a statue. I couldn’t move. I truly couldn’t move. Any movement felt like it would break all of my bones at once. I’d crumble to the ground. Anxiety turned in my stomach. I stood like that for a long while, willing for the safety of my dress to come to light. I closed my eyes and prayed a prayer of serenity, the one my father taught me to sing whenever I was afraid. I couldn’t speak. I hummed it, as quietly as I could, the thoughts of what will happen to me when I am found overtaking me. God heard me either way, even if I was ruined, naked in public. Right? A woman wasn’t to be seen in this way. What kind of barbarian would sleep naked in the woods? Had I gone mad? What would they do to my family? My knee was so damn itchy, I couldn’t do anything but stand there. Startled by a noise in the bush, I jumped forward with the intent of running behind a tree to hide. After my first step, the joint in my knee cracked as though it was being pushed back into place. Shrieking in pain, I fell to the ground and held my knee. It wasn’t itchy. It was pain. It was so much pain, a type my body hadn’t ever met before. Realizing it was pain, I cried out even louder, using my hand to muzzle myself from being heard, rubbing the seering ache until it passed. I sank to my side, my whole body hurting. I held myself, keeping as still as possible. I sobbed into the grass, the dirt staining my cheeks. A bunny. The noise from the bush. I don’t know why I know. But it was a bunny. I can smell it. Her. She’s long gone now, hopping on by as though my life hadn’t shattered. ~ The sun is on top of me now. My bones don’t ache as much. But they feel awkward, uncomfortable. Like my skin was opened up, my skeleton pulled out, and new bones realigned to fit inside of me and they still have to crack and nudge to fit properly. Like I’m not attached. I felt outside of my body, watching my naked frame shiver in fear. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know where I am. What would my family think? I can still smell her. I can hear her hopping towards the creak closeby. There’s a creak. I can hear it, the water reacting to the wind, the rain about to pelt onto its surface. It will rain soon. Maybe a couple miles out. I can feel it - rain is coming. I don’t know why I know. She’s getting a drink from the water. I can hear her. I can hear. ~ I stand up. I start walking but it looks more like limping, as pieces of my body start to connect and crack together. My entire face hurt from crying, I was cold, and I was exposed, and I was not a lady anymore. Not right now. I don’t know why I know. The creak is close, so I kept walking in that direction. Maybe that was where home was. Maybe that was our water source. I didn’t know what my next steps were, but I followed my instincts. I hoped that was where home was. I hoped that wasn’t where home was. I couldn’t be seen, not like this. But I needed to find civilization, a woman, anyone, with spare clothes. The last thing I remember was kissing my father good night. He was planning for the celebration that is going on today. Probably right now. We were going to introduce a new bread we baked together yesterday. So it wasn’t much of a celebration for anyone else, but it was special for us. He’d be so disappointed to see that I missed their reactions at the marketplace. I squeezed my eyes shut, willing to not let out more emotion. I opened my eyes and saw the shimmer from the creak’s water. Relief, finally a solid breath, came to me as I walked faster into the water. I had no idea how to get home. There was no sign of life, or clothing, or dignity anywhere. But at least I could feel clean. I went neck-deep into the water, and washed my arms and face. At least from here, I could shout for help without being exposed. Finally, this horrific nightmare was over. ~ Or not. I swam in place, clean and covered, and prepared myself to shout for help. I opened my mouth a couple of times, but every time I did, my voice caught in the fear of who would hear me. All I could imagine was someone of the court finding me exposed in public. What kind of charge would I receive? How did I even end up here? Paws came padding behind me. A chipmunk grabbed an acorn and scurried away. I turned my head to look at the chipmunk, wondering how I knew that before watching it. I never saw it. It’s in the hole in the tree’s trunk now. I never saw it. How did I know that? Thunder growled above me and I froze. I knew it would rain. The overwhelming unsurety of what was happening and what would happen next kept me frozen. The storm will get worse. Lightning will strike close. I don’t know why, but I knew it, and I had nowhere to run.

Orders were to always be obeyed. That was the third lessons Zakhar had learned during his pubescent years, for if not punishment was swift and brutal. The second was family always came first. And of course 'Respect Thy Father' should be the Belyakov Hunters mantra. This was the only reasons Zakhar was weaving Katya through the thick trees of the forest, keeping a careful eye for roots and other debris that could hinder his mare. Kazak was trotting in front of them, ears pricked and tongue lolling. "At least someones enjoying himself." The human muttered miserably. As if agreeing, Katya threw her head, long mane flying as she pulled at the bit. "Easy."
Patting the horses neck, Zakhar sighed tiredly. It had been a long two weeks of attempting to track down a wraith who'd been, supposedly, terrifying a nearby barony. However, the baron had been tight lipped, and his people too frightened of the red faced man to actually talk. Which was frustrating, considering making people talk was Zakhar's specialty. Apparently, the threat of a lashing was enough to persuade them to keep quiet about whatever was going on. But whatever the reason, it had been futile and Andon was not going to be pleased. Cringing a bit, Zakhar reached back to rub the knots in his neck.
A soft growl pulled him from his morose thoughts, and without thinking he pulled Katya up short so he could watch Kazak. The large black dog had his head raised, sniffing the air like he'd been taught all his life to do. Zakhar didn't need to prompt him any longer to seek out what he'd smelled, instead Kazak began following his nose immediately. Urging Katya behind, Zakhar kept a few good paces back so he didn't interrupt, but mentally catalogued where all his weapons were just in case. Thunder began rumbling above.
Maybe if Kazak had a supernatural in his crosshairs it would give Zakhar the kill he needed to appease his father. Typically he wasn't the one to do the actual killing, but having failed to track down the wraith he'd need to do something to make up for it. Perhaps the head of a kelpie or dust of a fae would do? The bubbling of a creek from ahead steadily grew louder as the dog lead them towards it, hackles raised. Then they were upon it, Katya's heavy hoof falls drowned out by the water. Kazak's growling had stopped, but his beady golden eyes were clearly on the human figure neck deep in the water. Zakhar's were as well, one eyebrow raised.
It was a female, though she was a bit to far out in the water to tell whether it was a girl or woman. He wouldn't say human, at least not yet considering Kazak's reaction. If she was a monster, then at first glance she appeared a rather pathetic one. Though, he knew enough not to let first glances fool him; she could be a shifter or water sprite. Drowning was on Zakhar's list of ways he didn't want to die - which included burning and being swallowed alive. Huffing softly, Zakhar made sure to keep Katya a good distance from the bank and whistled for Kazak to get back as well. Squinting a bit to try and get a better look at the woman, Zakhar raised his hands so she could see he didn't actively have a weapon. There were multiple on his person, of course, but maybe if she saw he didn't have one in hand she'd be less likely to run... or try to eat him depending.
"The storms about to hit." He hollered, wanting to be sure she could hear him over the water and thunder. "Why don't you come out before the rain begins and the creek swells? Don't worry about the dog; he's friendly." Though if she was simply a human and Kazak was wrong, which wasn't unheard of since he was a dog and thus fallible, she'd probably be more frightened of a strange man than his canine companion. "Or me, I only want to help if I can."

I heard him before I saw him. I didn’t know who it was, but just as the whole day has gone, the anxiety had me frozen. I prayed for it to be a woman, maybe an older woman, one of those plain, poor ones who was warm and always had a spare shawl. Or, even if she didn’t, she was kind enough to give it up. Seeing it was a man, I instinctively covered myself, even in the safety of my body already being hidden. My cheeks burned in the coolness of the water. I stepped further back, dipping my chin into the water to be as hidden as possible. I tried to stay as still as I could to not be noticed, but the man looked straight at me. I looked at the dog at his side. I stared for a long time, captivated by the golden eyes. There was something I couldn’t name, a static connection I felt with the earth, with every heartbeat, every noise... He spoke and I looked back to him. Well, anywhere but his eyes. Too embarrassed, I looked at his horse, his clothing, the weapons. The woods, the air, how badly I wished to run free… The thought caught me off guard. No. To be home. To be safe. To be hidden. My lip trembled, and I scanned the area again, aware of every bird that flew, every scuffle between the leaves. Overwhelmed, I looked up at the sky, blinking away my emotion. Thunder roared again. Rain is coming. The wind was already turning wet, blowing against my cheeks, like fog preparing for the storm. “I-uh,” My voice cracked, having not eaten or drank all day. I cleared my throat and tried again. “I can’t. I can’t seem to find my night dress.” I lowered my mouth back into the water, shame filling me up. I squeezed my eyes shut and added, “Sir, do you have anything to spare?”

Watching as the woman ducked further into the water, obviously uncomfortable by his presence, Zakhar couldn't help but wonder what was happening. Was she doing something she wasn't supposed to? From her demeanor, he was going to go with a yes. Women. He mentally mused, lips twitching in vague amusement. They were usually up to something, typically things that would end up giving their male counterparts grey hairs.
At least those he knew. Though in his family the men were the Hunters, the true backbone was, in fact, the females. They were the ones who took care of the homestead, kept them all in line, and made sure they didn't forget to feed themselves. Which was a distinctive possibility. Zakhar's own mother, before her death, had been his fathers anchor and the glue which held them all together. She'd controlled the family with an iron fist, but loved them all; even those sons who were not hers by blood.
Giving himself a bit of a shake, Zakhar returned his dark gaze back on the stranger. Getting lost in his own thoughts was a habit his father had tried breaking him of more than once. However, where Andon was practical and analytical, Zakhar was more theoretical and tactful. He didn't just see the end goal, but rather the entire plan as well as what it was going to cost him, his family, and those around them. Its why he was a grifter who was attuned to people, rather than simply a killer. This train of thoughts made him wonder about this female hidden almost beneath the water.
Then she started speaking and Zakhar blinked in surprise. She couldn't find her nightdress? How had she lost it in the first place? Was it normal for her to take naked strolls through the forest? Not very proper, but then again everyone tended to do things that went against etiquette at one point in time or another. He'd seen things in his line of work that would make his dead grandmother roll over in her grave. Done some, too. Huffing a laugh, Zakhar whistled for Kazak to get away from the water where the dog had slowly been creeping forward. "I have a rain cloak you can borrow, miss." He told her. If it was going to start raining he'd be miserable, but then again there was no guarantee she was even a human and wasn't going to attack him the moment he got to close. So he'd have his cloak and the head of a monster on his way home.
Throwing a leg over the broad saddle atop Katya, Zakhar thumped to the ground and began unhooking one of his saddle bags. The cloak was dark blue and thick, made for the chill and wet. The outside had been slathered with a thick substance that made it almost rubberized so water ran right off. Luckily it was long and wide, so it would cover her form easily. Lying it carefully at the edge of the creek, Zakhar made sure to keep a careful eye on the woman. Walking backwards towards Katya, he grabbed the reins just below the bit and pulled her around towards the woods. "You can come out now, I won't look." Keeping his back towards her, he knew that if she got to close Kazak would alert him.
((Sorry this one is a little more scatterbrained; working two jobs means some days I'm a lot more tired than others.~))

Ooc; You, and the post, are totally fine. Honestly, same here. Bic; His surprised face at my predicament was expected but that didn't ease the embarrassment. Midst the horror, though, was relief as he searched his things for his cloak. I was feeling small and helplessly pathetic. The man turned his back. I had no choice but to completely trust. Everyone in my parts of the village were always kind and thoughtful. I was sure this man would be, too. I didn't know any better anyway. Finally reaching the edge of the creak, I breathed a sigh of relief. Grabbing the cloak, I wrapped it around my bare body. I smiled, whispering a thank you to my Lord, and looked to the ground in an attempt for etiquette, even in this situation. “May God bless you abundantly for your kindness.” I wanted to explain. This situation required explanation. But now that the anxiety of being exposed, alone, in a unfamiliar place was gone, I began to consider the situation myself. I didn't know what to say. “I wish I could explain. I don't know what's happening to m-” Instinctively, I lifted my head, stopped in my tracks. I watched the sky. “It's about to storm. We need to seek shelter.” My eyebrows furrowed, confused. I don't know why I know. And, like on cue, the rain poured and thunder roared in anger. I looked desperately between him and his horse. I shouted above the noise of the storm. “Do you know of Hepakaar Village? Is it close?” Not knowing what happened last night, I could be close or very far away. Having no answers to my questions took away any former relief I felt.

Keeping a careful ear out for the little woman behind him, Zakhar's hackles were raised with the knowledge that there was someone, possibly a monster, at his back. His hand itched for his main weapon, a shortsword fashioned for his style of fighting. But he trusted Kazak and his own instincts enough to alert him if she became dangerous. As she started speaking, Zakhar huffed a slightly bitter laugh but decided to give her a moment to regain some equilibrium before he'd actually look at her.
"I assure you, God does not give a d*amned about me." He told her, lips pulling into a smirk. "But anyone who refuses to aid a damsel in distress deserves to be struck down." Finally he slowly turned back towards her, dark eyes taking in her somewhat frazzled apperance. But even this close nothing about her screamed supernatural. She was small-ish and pale, visibly shaken by something. Quickly Zakhar scanned their surroundings, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
She couldn't explain what was happening? To her? to someone else? It all sounded very dubious, and frankly Zakhar wasn't too keen on trusting her. No matter how guileless and innocent she appeared. Thunder crashed ahead, and the woman knew it seconds before. Grumbling about the rain, Zakhar made a split second decision that was either really stupid or irritatingly chivalrous. Grabbing Katya's saddle horn he hoisted himself into the saddle before reaching his hand down for the woman to take.
"We're a good few hours ride from Hepakaar Village, and it's to dangerous to ride in the rain. Katya could slip and fall, and to be quite honest I'm not about to have to put my horse down for someone whose name I don't even know." Squinting up at the sky, he sighed tiredly. "My family owns a small cabin not to far from here where I've been staying. It might not be what you're used to, but at least it's warm and dry."

A few hours? I don’t think I had ever been that far away from home, alone, or in this case, with a strange man who spoke of God so flippantly. Even with his weapons and strange dog, I felt nothing but gratitude for his presence. He would take me home, Father would know what happened, and all will fall into place soon. This would all be over. I thought of my father, of kissing him goodnight, of walking to my room, closing the door, laying my head on my pillow… That was it. That’s all I knew. The man put out his hand and I looked him in the eyes, I think for the first time since meeting him. I trusted him completely to take me somewhere safe. Even if I didn't, I had no other choice. The rain was too loud to be aware of my surroundings, and I finally felt at peace. I was completely dry and warm underneath the cloak. I gave him a more softer smile, the anxiety finally meeting its end. “Well, I would also hate for you to lose your horse.” I grabbed his hand. “I’m Willa.” Ooc; I’m sorry this is short. I swear I have some ideas as this moves forward haha. You can godmod her onto the horse, it’s all good. She’ll keep some space between her hands and his shoulders/waist whatever she’d grab, out of being respectable & only holding on tighter when necessary. I didn’t want to control him pulling her up xD

Watching the woman contemplate on what to do next Zakhar waited patiently for her decision. Monster or not, it must have been difficult to place so much trust, as a woman, in a strange, obviously armed man. Eventually she offered a small smile and seemed to relax a bit after deciding. Unable to help himself, Zakhar offered her a friendly grin in return. The rain had already plastered his hair and clothes to him, and Katya was obviously irritated as she threw her head, mane sending water everywhere. Taking her offered hand, he had to use a bit more force to be sure he didn't drop her from the slippery water and helped hoist her onto the back of her large mare.
Settling her a safe distance from him but where she'd not accidentally fall off, Zakhar gave Katya a nudge to get her going. He didn't have to whistle for Kazak to follow. "Well, Willa, it's nice to meet you. I'm Zakhar." Looking over his shoulder at her, he couldn't help but raise his eyebrow curious. "May I ask what exactly you were doing out here, if that is not crossing a line." The way Willa spoke made him think she was from a religious, possibly wealthy or at least someone influential family. It made him a little uncomfortable, that he would do or say something that was not proper. His family was definitely not one to follow social norms nor were they religious; not in their line of work.
The rain grew harder, the thunder louder. Katya was taking careful steps and Zakhar was trying his best to keep her on safe ground.
OoC :: It's okay! Shorts posts are sometimes even better than long ones in situations like this.~ And of course feel free to do the same with Zakhar. If you need to move him or make him do something to move your post along please do! I'm not one of those people who hate it when someone else slightly uses their character. XD

I situated the cloak around me tightly once being settled on the horse. I had ridden a horse before but my family didn’t own enough land to have one of their own, so I wasn’t too experienced in riding. I tried to handle it without much fuss. My legs clung awkwardly at first, but then firmly around the mare. Still, my hands stayed close to Zakhar’s sides only for when I needed to steady myself. His question made me laugh. It felt good to laugh, after the longest day of my life. I was much shorter than him, and the storm had it’s loud moments, so to reply, I had to lift my chin up higher and reach close to his ear. “I really, genuinely, have absolutely no idea.” My voice didn’t sound like my own. Instead of the shaking fear that I had gotten used too, I was saying it with a cackling smile on my face, finding the entire situation embarrassingly absurd. I giggled to myself, ignoring the sickening trauma in my gut. Instead, I recalled the look on his face when he first saw me in the river and it made me laugh even more. This lasted a long while, enough to feel like the laughter trickled in my blood and healed me through and through. My smile lowered as I said, more seriously, more concerned, a better explanation. “I don’t remember. I woke up in this place and I don’t know what happened to me. I don’t know why I was...” I accidentally tilted to the side a bit and grabbed his side to steady myself. Once I was steady again, I let go. I gladly moved on from bringing up my nakedness. “The only thing I know is that I hurt so badly when I woke up. I could barely move. I have no recollection at all.” I wasn’t sore anymore, though. What kind of ailment was this? So emotionally exhausted, I found myself laughing again at the craziness of it all. “I’m just glad it’s over.” I added through my giggle. The rain had slowed through our venture. Animals were peering out from their shelters here and there, coming out of hiding. The sound of a woodpecker close by cut my laugh mid-way. I turned my head around paranoid, searching for its source. The sound became increasingly more familiar, like on the tip of my tongue, like a dream or memory I had forgotten but triggered me in such a way that it stopped my heart cold. I found the bird plowing away on a high up tree. I wasn’t particularly fascinated by birds. But that sound… Images flashed in my mind, one after another. The moon showing full and bright white outside my bedroom window. Feeling the muddy ground beneath me with my hands and feet. Having one exhilarating, freeing thought: run. The woodpecker’s insolent pecking. The rage that boiled over me, the violence in my bones, the screams, the teeth stained with blood- I gasped, coming back to the present to find myself clinging to Zakhar’s waist tight. I let go quickly and shook my head. “Oh!” I couldn’t explain or say anymore, the pieces of memory clouding my mind. I willed for more to come to mind, but the past was silent, leaving me with more unanswered questions. “I’m sorry. I forgot myself.” I finally blurted out, my tone losing it’s former humor. We have been through more awkward moments in our one hour of meeting than anyone has with me my entire life. I stared at the woodpecker as we passed. The bird kept on pecking undisturbed. “How far is the cabin?” I asked, desperate for a moment alone.

Listening to Willa laugh, Zakhar took the chance to look over his shoulder at her curiously. What was so funny? Maybe she'd hit her head before he'd found her? Brows wrinkling in confusion, he was forced to return his attention to the road when Katya slipped slightly on the wet foliage. "Easy girl." He murmured, patting the mares neck. What the strange girl behind him was saying made little to no sense. She didn't remember? How could she not remember leaving her home, venturing so far into the forest, and losing her clothes? Maybe she'd been drugged?
The thought had him clutching the reins a bit tighter. Zakhar had sisters and nieces, after all, and the thought of someone drugging them, forcing them from their home, was enough to make him want to murder someone. Again. His dark thoughts were interrupted by the sudden, almost painful, tightening of Willa's arms around him. "Wha-?" Pulling Katya to a halt, he twisted a bit to looked back and down at Willa wearily. She looked to be lost in her own mind, staring at something in the trees yet not seeing it at all. The hairs on the back of his neck rose. Something about all of this was starting to ring as wrong. Wrong in the way that made the hunter in him stand at attention.
As suddenly as the fit had begun it was over and she was letting go. Breathing a sigh of relief, Zakhar kept his attention on Willa for a moment longer. He hoped his suspicions were wrong, but then again he didn't much like his first misgiving either. Maybe, if her God or any other was listening, she'd just been sleep walking. "Well, if there's anything you do remember, you can tell me, alright? In my line of work, you'd be surprised at what I've seen, Maybe I can help piece it together?" Offering the shaken girl a small, but genuine, smile he turned and clucked his tongue to get Katya moving once more.
"The cabins not to far away." With the rain having let up, he was able to push the mare into a faster walk. Glad he knew the forest well, Zakhar recognized that the trees could swallow a person whole. The woods blurred together and a person could zigzag through the same small area for days without realizing they were going nowhere. It was the perfect home for a supernatural who wanted to stay away from humans - or lure them away from prying eyes.
Taking quick glances at Willa every now and then, Zakhar perked up a bit as a familiar wood cabin came into view through the gloom. It was small, but well built and sturdy enough to keep the elements out season after season. Reigning in Katya, he hopped off the horse and held out a hand to help Willa off. "Why don't you go inside, get dried off and warmed up. There's clothes in the trunk at the back; some belong to my brothers who are smaller they they'll sorta fit. I need to bed down Katya."
OoC: Feel free to make the inside of the cabin however you want to give it what you need for Willa.~

Ooc; Sorry for disappearing <3 I was scared to assume anything about Zahkar! So most of this is vague. I thought maybe she could find something that sort of hinted about his life, anything at all good or bad, but I wasn’t sure what ob ject, or if you wanted it to be good or bad, big or little. Could just be something to give Zakhar a chance to have some attention on his backstory. So the ending, where she lowkey found something, if you had any sort of ob ject or thing that might be cool to include, then we can assume that’s what she was looking at. If not, it could always be a weapon or something to lead them to a topic about what he actually does with his life, lol. Bic; If he wasn’t considering me completely mad before, he must’ve been thinking it now. All I wanted was a bed and a warm place to sleep off the emotional embarrassment of the day. I was able to push out a smile in return when he offered one to me. He’d been nothing but kind this whole time, but the smile still surprised me coming from him. The kindness he was showing was almost off putting against his appearance. With his strange dog and weapons, and wandering these strange woods alone like he knew them well - it didn’t fit right with his gentle demeanor. Not that I could judge, after how I was just found. I grabbed his offered hand with one hand while the other held the cloak tightly. “Thank you. Again.” I said after landing on the ground and looking up to him. I walked as natural as a woman would, trying to not run too eagerly to the safety of clothes and the warmth of the cabin. I got to the porch and opened the door, immediately running towards the back for the trunk. The cabin was warm and inviting, or at least it felt that way because of being shelter from the weather. Sure enough the trunk was at the back of the room. I opened the trunk and grabbed the clothing, tempted to wince at the pants. Not so much of shame at wearing them, as much as knowing how much my father, and anyone I know, would disapprove of wearing them in front of Zakhar. I quickly changed into the clothes. They were men’s clothes so they were a bit baggy in places, but they fit fine for the situation. I went to the couch where a blanket was, cuddled up, closed my eyes, and whispered a ‘Thank you’. Once comfortable, I opened my eyes again and observed my surroundings. The weapons he had were different, but then again I wasn’t that knowledgeable on many weapons in general. A desk was on the opposite end of the room. Keeping the blanket wrapped around my shoulders, I walked towards it while scanning everything on the walls. He was a strange man. I hadn’t really allowed myself to consider it from the events of the day. This whole time he was a hero, a God sent gentleman. But, in the warmth and safety of his haven, I wasn’t as able to ignore just how strange he was. Mysterious. Different. Something caught my eye on the desk, and I leaned in closer. A strange man indeed.
