Shuddering trees bent under the strength of the storm crowded the forest, leaving hardly an inch of breathing room for its inhabitants. Rain drops the size of baseballs thundered down from the heavens, the roaring thunder never ceasing its noise. Black thunderheads floated heavily across the sky, the sun, or perhaps the moon -for the time of day could not be discerned- and the air was thick with humidity.

The air was hot and muggy inside the forest, the rain troubled to find cracks through the tightly interwoven leaves and branches. But to one thin girl, it was a saviour. The storm, the inhospitality of the forest, all saved her from an untimely death.

A shivering wreck, she sat perched high in a tree, long and slender hands gripping the tree branch so tightly they were bloody, staining her fingers and the bark a dark crimson. Dressed in the old earth clothes from when the humans occupied the stinking planet named Earth, she would have cut a strange figure among the Irydens, who lived on this planet, the 'Goldilocks Planet'.

'Sidorna, Aurelei, Kukhuurik and Atran, I pray for my life. For my freedom. Save me please from the cyborgs,' she whispered softly, clenching her eyes shut. She wished the prayer was not futile, for she would need all the blessings she could get.

OOC: I think we should post a little about the planet, just so we can get a feel for it XD

[Irydens, oh, a planet much like Earth, but with lighter gravity to allow the cyborgs to move more easily. There is also more landma.ss, about 65% land, and the water is mostly fresh water, with a few inland oceans. The forests tend to be overgrown as wood is rarely used for building anything, the cyborgs prefering metal and iron. Most animals are the same as on Earth but the extinct species seem revived some how. There are also a few made up creatures. o3o]

 Drip...Drip...Drip...

 Iesrei trailed through the thick for listening as the rain dripped from the leafs and onto the forest floor. His dark green eyes flickered across the forest searching for any sign of a mutant. He frowned as he spotted nothing and continued to walk through the forest, wacking bushes and branched out of his way.

 He had just been hunting down another mutant who was made from four different speces, cobra, begnal cat, and ferret. She went by the name of Stranger to her friends and was known as Ghost to the Cyborgs for her different species and smallness allowed her to move through the forest almost unheard and unseen.

 You could have caught her you idiot! Why did you let you get away? He thought to himself as he remembered chasing after her through the forest and into a small town. Where she went he didn't know and he didn't have all day to try to find her for he had other mutants and things to worry about.

 He stopped just as he heard something a little wyas ahead up in a tree and slowly walked towards it trying not ot scare it away if it was a mutant. He up into the trees far above his head and noticed what looked like a small girl up in a tree holding onto the branches tightly and both eyes closed as she prayed, most likely not to be found.

No, came the thought in horror as the girl opened her eyes anf stared down at the cyborg, who though did not seem to be seearching for her, was looking nonetheless. Letting her hands go carefully from the tree branch she spread her black-blue raven wings in readiness, waiting for her enemy to move.

Nim crouched low in the tree she was currently sat in, her belly hovering about an inch from the branch and her eyes wide as she watched the Cyborg standing under a large tree across from her. She prayed that he didnt look towards here as she would surely be seen, her bright white fur sticking out like a sore thumb.

'Please dont turn around... Please, if there is a god you'll make him stay facing the other way.' She thought, clutching the branch beneath her for dear life. Her life depended on her ability to cling onto the tree and not make a sound. Her right leg began to slip from the branch, threatening to send her crashing to the ground below. Her left leg had long since gone dead and was now also sliding downwards, dragging the rest of her body from the branch. She let out a sharp cry, her right leg getting caught on a large branch and emitting a horrible crunching noise before she hit the ground. The landed on her feet and her right leg promptly gave out as she did so "Oh sh!t..." She murmered.

'No,' she gasped as the cyborg swung his way up gracefully to land next to her on the branch. Letting out a scream of terror she let herself go limp, and dropped out of the tree. The scream had not been faked, but Sagitta had timed it perfectly. It would seem just as if she had fainted from shock.

Ramming into the thin branches she fell patiently until there was an opening large enough to hold her wingspan. Bracing herself the girl snapped out her wings and gasped with pain as the wind rushed into them. 'Idiot,' she hissed with pleasure, though her pretty voice was marred with pain.

Gray eyes blinked quickly as she flapped her wings again, gaining enough altitude to land on a thick tree branch on all fours with cat-like grace. Black-tipped tail flicked from side to side as she crept forwards swiftly, the spines on her back arching with anger.

That son of a hunk of metal won’t get me, she thought fiercely. Flicking her ears and baring lily-white fangs the mutant began climbing up the trunk of the tree she had landed on, slithering upwards as quickly as she dared.

 Iesrei leaped from the tree after the girl. He landed onto the ground and began to run below her until he got to the other tree. He jumped into the tree and began to follow the girl up using his metal arm to help pull himself up after the girl. He hissed as he felt on of his hands slip and felt himself slid down a few inches before he caught himself and began to climb up the trunk again. He looked over his should and looked down letting out a large gulp as he looked down at the forest floor far below him. He hated heights...They were his only fear in the world.

 Sinne walked through the forest quietly as he listened to a bird sing a joyful song that carried through the forest. He closed his eyes and began to hum along until a loud cry interrupted him and the bird. He opened his eyes and looked around for where the scream came from when he nearly tripped over a girl on the forest floor. "What the-" He stopped looking down at Nim confused. "Are you okay?" He asked not noticing Iesrei or Sagitta.

'Nah nah, metal man can't stand the heights?' Sagitta taunted from her perch above him. However, she didn't stop her movement. Climbing at a quick pace she knew she would reach the top of the tree in a few moments. Then, she would be free.

Hand over hand, using branches as footholds, the slim girl climbed higher and higher, calling on her snow leopard genes to aid her. Using a fox's nimbleness she easily avoided any trailing branches or leaves.

Darn it, she thought with a sharp intake of breath as she climbed. Her tail. It would be an easy thing for the cyborg to grab if she didn't lift it out of reach, but then she would have nothing to balance herself.

'Just climb faster,' she reasoned with herself, hoping sincerely that it would be enough to keep her from death. And the fact that the metal man hated heights.

 "C'mon...Just a little higher." Iesrei told himself not wanting to look down again. He crawled up the tree crashing through the branches and twigs as he crawled up behind her. He felt the twigs scrape against his 'human self', but ignored them only focusing on keeping up with the mutant girl.

 You can't let this one escape...Not after loosing the last one. He thought to himself trying to climb faster. She is going to get away if you don't hurry!

Nim clutched her her leg to her chest "I-I think its broken..." She gasped, tears escaping her green eyes. She choked out a strangled sob, still clutching her leg to her chest "You have t-to help m-me... One of them is after me..." She murmerd, a pained gasp escaping her lips. She looked up at him "I really n-need some help..." She stuttered, clearly in pain.
