Ok, so yeah. Preferably romance, I would rather be the slave, and a girl, but 'tis open to negotiation. Some basic conditions are:

1. Use punctuation or get lost. I'm afraid I will have to ask you to quit if you can't at least bring it up to semi-lit standard.

2. Semi-literate to Literate only, please. And also, ipod posts are kind of annoying, try to avoid them where possible.

3. Don't be a power player with mary/gary sues, or a god mod. If you don't like my terms, LEAVE.

[[Okiedokes. 83 I'll set the scene...]]

Anna was running away, her breath catching in her throat before she could inhale it properly. Eventually, she collapsed, and tried to hide in a bush, ignoring the thorns and brambles pricking her skin and snagging her filthy blue dress. She was discovered anyway, and her master beat her severely for what she had attempted. She tried to cover her face with her hands, but failed miserably. Her nose was bleeding, and she could taste blood in her mouth. Eventually, after he had drained out his anger on the girl, the man draged her back to his home. The next morning, he took her to a fair and sold her for a pretty cheap price, walking away, happy at being rid of this girl.

She was being led along to one of the many steel, barred cages that lined the edge of the street. They were small, maybe four foot by four foot, and only about six feet tall, at most. She is shoved inside, and told to remain standing, as the door is locked behind her. She sits down anyway, and pulls her legs up to her chest, resting her chin on her knees as she looks around. Her big eyes go bigger as she remembers the first time she was here, and sees the salesmen begin advertising their 'stock'. She watches as several intimidating, terrifying vampires start pouring past, but none take an interest in her.
About an hour passes, and she hears the short, grubby man charged with her row of cages start grumbling, before poking her back through the bars. ''How old are you?'' He snarls, spitting at the same time. Anna swallows, but replies in a faint voice,
''I'm seventeen.'' He looks disgusted for a moment, quickly replaced by the usual ugly look.
''Stand up.'' After a moment of hesitation, the man grows impatient and sticks his arm through the bars, pulling her to her feet roughly by her arm. ''Cheap slave over here, young, well-cared for! Pretty, too!'' He adds with a sick, twisted laugh.

Jason was wary of the other vampires around him as he pushed his way through the crowd that had accumulated at the slave trading building. Kuro strode dutifully by his side, the fox's dark black eyes flickering this way and that to look at the throng of vampires, ears swiveling at every movement. "It's alright, we'll be out here soon," Jason said quietly to his friend and Kuro shivered. Neither Jace nor Kuro liked being around other people.

"Cheap slave over here. Young, well cared for; pretty, too!" Jason turned his head and saw a young girl being held roughly by the arm. Jason walked over to her, his marble green eyes softening when he saw the girl's face.

"I'll take her," he said quietly and handed the man the bills. "Keep the change." He added that as he slowly put the man's arm down, thus pulling his grasp away from the girl. Jason could see the bruises on her, see the pain that was clear on her skin and he thought he saw a hint of it on her face. He looked away from her, challengingly to the man.

"Will that be all for today?" Jason heard the man say and he watched as he yanked the girl out of his cage, that tight grip being placed on the slave girl's arm again. The other was on her shoulder, fingers very near her neck, and Jason looked at the man solemnly, his ex
pression drawn back so far that the only hint of emotion was the slight arch to his brows.

"I'd just like you to take your hands off her," he said and stepped against the man. He pushed the slave dealer's fingers away and placed his own gentle and cold hold on the girl's arm. The mossy green of his eyes constricted for a moment, filling with red as he felt her pulse beneath his fingertips, but he cleared his thirst with the clearing of his throat.

"That will be all," Jason said curtly and he lightly nudged the slave toward the door. Kuro followed obediantly behind, but once they were out, he ran off in the direction of the forest. Coward, Jason thought.

Jason led the girl through town, ignoring the hungry looks some other vampires gave her. Once, he had to bare his fangs at a scrubby young vampire who had reached toward his new slave. Feeling lightheaded from all of the vampires, he finally broke free of their small gathering place. He followed Kuro's steps into the forest and once under the trees, his muscles relaxed and he breathed out a sigh.

Glancing down at her, he removed his hand from her shoulder, done with protecting her from thirsty vampires. "Don't run," he warned. If she failed to listen to him, he would just use his illusionist skills and make her see something entirely different than the scenery around them, and it wouldn't be as tranquil and sweet.

"Kuro, where've you run off to?" he called into the forest and at that, the black fox crept out from under a bush. The creature cocked its head once as he scented the girl's terror smell. He sniffed and rubbed his head against her leg before settling down at her feet.

"What's your name?" Jason asked, completely unsurprised by Kuro's reaction to her.

Anna tried her best not to think of the pets he miht have, and instead, thought of the animals he wasn't likely to have. He wouldn't have crocodiles, right? When a few vampires stared hungrily at her, their vile intents evident in their dark eyes, she couldn't help but cower in her new masters direction. As her master, he'd protect her, if only to save his money. Right? Her hunch turned out to be true when a scruffy urchin of a vampire got to close, so that was one relief. At least she wasn't totally despensable to this new master.

When they got to the forest and he relaxed, letting her go, she contemplated running until he spoke. ''Don't run,'' he said, and for some reason, Anna got the feeling he would do some pretty terrifying things to her if she did run.

''Kuro, where've you run off to?'' Anna guessed this was the fox, and her hunch turned out to be right, as the black creature crept towards her. She couldn't help but back away, into the vampire, as the creature rubbed its head aainst her before laying at her feet.

When he asked her her name, she didn't reply for a few moments. Weren't there some vampires that could cause you misery if they knew your name? Nonetheless, he'd find it out sooner or later. ''I... my name's AnnaMarie...'' Her voice trembled slihgtly; she couldn't help it.

Jason glanced down at her, startled, when she backed into him. He raised one brow and Kuro seemed to roll his eyes before nipping at Anna's feet playfully. "Kuro," Jason barked out and the fox shook out its fur, flicked its tail nonchalantly in Jason's direction, and curled up at his side.

"That's quite the mouthful. I'll call you Anna. As you can see, that's Kuro," he said with a rather exasperated tone. Kuro paid no mind, only flicked his ears in Jason's direction before covering his black muzzle with one paw. "And I'm Jason," he continued, suddenly at a loss with what to do with the poor girl.

He'd lost a bet with an old friend, hence Anna's being here. He never wanted a slave, much less someone who would probably cause him more pain than help to his outcast and loner status among vampires. Seeing as he wasn't in any coven or his ties to any family were vacant, other vampires looked down on him. Kuro was his only true companion and even then, he knew the fox would probably up and leave if it didn't feel bad for him.

He looked down at Anna's bruises and refrained himself from running his fingers down the length of her arm. "How did you get those, Anna?" he asked, his thoughts flashing back to the man that had her in the cage.

Anna gave a small noise, quietly, as the fox nipped at her feet. It looked like it had been playing, but she wasn't really sure, and didn't feel like taking the chance right then. She was glad the vampire had made it stop, at least for the time being, and the way it acted afterwards was kind of cute.

She listened intently as he spoke to her, looking out for any signs that her ehaviour had angered him. She hadn't done anything wrong, but being punished for nothing had happened many times to her before. The tone of his voice as he spoke of his fox made it seem he was tired of its antics too, and she liked that fact. It might make the fox behave more. She noted his name, and added it to the list of many names she'd had to learn, the majority of them masters.

She heard his question, and decided to reply quickly, to replace the hesiation of earlier. ''I... broke the rules...'' She said, reaching up to twist a lock of hair subconciously. ''I... ran away...'' Her voice was quiet, just arely above a whisper, with a slightly frightened tone to it, and her eyes stryed to her feet, which she focused on. Luckily, it wasn't too cold today, so at least they weren't turning blue.

"I see you've had a rough life," he commented and glanced down at her feet which were bare. He ran his hand through his messy brown locks and breathed out a sigh. Kuro seemed to snort in response and Jason bent down to pick the creature up, knowing very well that he didn't like it. But Kuro didn't protest which was probably just to prove Jason wrong about his not liking it. Instead, Kuro licked the young man's nose.

Jason gave hint to just a small smile before stroking the fox's head. "I'll get you some shoes and clean clothes with the next town we travel to. For now, you'll just have to endure. And Anna, I have no intent to hurt you. If you run, you'll more than likely be captured again, so you'll have a better life with me." He set Kuro back on the ground and the fox trotted up to Anna obediantly, seeming to attempt to portray the message his master had said before. I won't hurt you.

Anna glanced up at him, and thought about his comment. ''I see you've led a rough life,'' he had said. True, she hadn't exactly led the most comfortable of existences, but she had at least had a family at some point, which was a lot better off than some. And she was still alive, a wonder in itself. She couldn't help give a small ghost of a smile as the fox licked his face.

She listened to his words, and thought of other times when her masters had given her things, and had punished her shortly afterwards for not being thankful. ''I... thank you... master...'' She added the last word hurriedly, beratin herself inwardly for forgetting it. The vampires usually disliked it when you did that. She decided he was probably right with the being captured again part, and he hadn't done anything harmful to her, at least not yet, so she decided not to run. She glanced down at the fox, swallowed hesitently, and held out her hand to stroke it, stopping just above his head, her courage failing her entirely.
