Two young apprentices and two Warriors have been chosen by StarClan to find Star-moon and Moon-star. Star-moon and Moon-star are like yin and yang and they have been separated for the first time by an unknown source, thus bringing imbalance to the world. StarClan knows they have to fix it because many things will start going wrong for the Clans. So the four chosen cats must set out to find both Star-moon and Moon-star and take them to the sacred Pool of Serenity. No living soul knows where any of these key components could be. The only clue they have is the same exact dream sent to each cat from StarClan, telling them to 'Journey to the place of the unknown - that is, the place where the sun brings light to the world.'

Star-moon and Moon-star's species are unknown, too - basically, everything but their names has never been found out before. Except for the fact that one is black with white flecks and one white with black flecks.

The four chosen cats must find Star-moon and Moon-star... and quickly, too.. for the fate of the world rests on their shoulders.

Towards new people, she is somewhat shy at first, but quickly warms up. Instead of fighting, she prefers to be reasonable, but if that doesn't work.. fight on!

Personality: This apprentice is very mischevious and often gets into trouble. Hawkpaw talks back quite a bit and is usually the argument-starter. When calm, though, he doesn't like to be bothered at all or else he gets very agitated. Come to think of agitated, it's almost always easy to get him angry. Recently, he's been trying to supress his anger, but... well... let's just say it's not working out teh best so far.

Appearance:
Personality: Very soft and easy-going on troublemakers.  She doesn't like to cause problems or get into the middle of things.  Songfern also likes to listen to birdsong and usually stops to hear it, and every once in a while she hums a tune herself - NEVER in front of anybody else, of course.  This cat is quite open to others after a while of knowing them, but at first she may seem quiet.  She is sort of sensitive, too.

Thornfire tossed and turned in his nest, his eyes squeezed shut. He was growling incessantly, though thankfully not loud enough to wake any of the cats. In his dreams, he was visited by his father, a cat he was never really close to.

-shoom into Thornfire's dream-

"Saberclaw." Thornfire narrowed his blue eyes at the ginger tom, whose fur was much redder than his.

"Thornfire." Saberclaw shot back. They didn't seem entirely close.

"What are you doing here, Saberclaw?" Thornfire asked, turning around to walk away. After all, this was his dream. He could do anything he want, including sending giant squirrels in to attack his father.

"Think this is merely a dream?" Saberclaw called. "This is a message from StarClan, you mouse-brain of a son." Thornfire paused.

"I'm not a mouse-brain!" He turned around and snarled. Saberclaw rolled his eyes.

"A smart cat would have payed attention to the 'message from StarClan' part." He said.

"StarClan?" Thornfire asked, cocking his head to one side.

"Yes. A black cloud hovers over SkyClan, something even StarClan cannot prevent. You and three others have been chosen to find the Star-moon and the Moon-star." Saberclaw said somberly.

"Star-moon and Moon-star?" Thornfire asked, puzzled. "Where can I find them?"

"In the place... Where the sun brings light to the world." With those words, Saberclaw started to dissolve.

"Wait, Saberclaw! There are so many questions I need answered!" Thornfire yowled, bounding towards the disappearing figure. "Like, why did you come?"

"Easy. Because your mother told me to." Saberclaw smirked, a smirk that was uncannily similar to Thornfire's. Thornfire gasped and shot up from his nest, blinking and shaking his head.

"All just a dream. Nothing but a dream." Thornfire muttered to himself, recognizing the mossy insides of the warrior's den.

"Find the Star-moon and Moon-star, Icepaw. Find the place, where the sun brings light to the world." A pretty silver she-cat cooed to the young apprentice. Icepaw was visited by her kittypet mother, who was brought into StarClan's hunting grounds to deliver the message to her daughter.

"Mother, wait!" Icepaw bounded to her mother, despite of the starry cats that surrounded them. "Why me? Mom, I need you." Icepaw looked down, obviously unhappy with herself.

"Don't worry, dear. StarClan and I will always watch over you." The silver she-cat started to disappear, leaving Icepaw gasping in her nest, looking around wildly for the StarClan cats in the waking world.

Songfern stretched out for the billionth time to get her body up and running.  She always woke early.  Looking out to the rising sun, it's rays spread across the camp bringing warmth and happiness.

Hawkpaw twitched in his sleep.  That's because he was having a dream... one that was quite important, too.

-FWOOM into dream-

"Hawkpaw.  Hawkpaw, my sweet," a voice smooth and sweet as honey spoke.  Whipping around and looking about frantically, Hawkpaw finally spotted the source: his mother.  "Mom!  MOM!" he said with joy, bounding over to her.  "I... I've missed you so much... Why can't you come back, Mom..?" he said sadly.  "I am sorry, my son.  But you have to find Star-moon and Moon-star, my dear Hawkpaw.  Find the place where the sun brings light to the world."  Turning around, Silverwhisp was fading.  "No! MOM! NO!" Hawkpaw yelled after her, sprinting to keep her there.

Alas, he instead woke up, frantically looking around for Silverwhisp, his mother.  Mom..?  Mom... come back...

Dawnfrost stared straight into her father's deep green eyes, them being identical to one of her own.  "Dad.." she said with sadsness.  "I've missed you a lot... How is mother?"  Ebonytail smiled, seeing his daughter once more.  It brought happiness to him.  "I've missed you too.  Your mother is doing well, just as I am," he purred.  "But the reason I have come is to give you a message from StarClan."  Dawnfrost's ears perked up at the words 'message from StarClan.'  "What kind of message, dad?" she asked inquisitively.  "You have the find Moon-star and Star-moon.  Go to the place where the sun brings light to the world."  Ebonytail sat and curled his night-black tail around his paws.  "I wish you luck, my wonderful, beautiful daughter.." he said.  "Dad...!" Dawnfrost spoke, but her words were lost as Ebonytail faded off and she awoke to the normal sight and smell of the Warriors den.

Icepaw saw Hawkpaw wake up just like how she did. Frantic, bewildered and confused. She remembered what her mother had told her. Three others? Icepaw thought. I wonder if Hawkpaw is one of them... But why him? He's just an apprentice! Icepaw tried think harder. But you're an apprentice too! Another voice seemed to nag. You don't even have SkyClan's blood running through you. Icepaw groaned and heaved herself up, stumbling near Hawkpaw. She was thankful that they were the only two apprentices in the Clan.

"Did you have a weird dream, Hawkpaw?" Icepaw asked.

"Ugh, shut up, Thornfire." Sandstream batted at her brother's side. Slowly blinking her eyes open, Sandstream slowly analyzed the den. It seemed like Thornfire and Dawnfrost were awake, and obviously spooked by something.

"Uh... wuh?" She asked, her voice slurred by sleep. "Did I miss something?"

"Nothing." Thornfire snapped. "No need to worry, Sandstream."

"Will you two please be quiet?" Thunderhowl mewed from his nest. The noises of the other three warriors had awoken him, but they were the only four that were awake. The other warriors were sound asleep, thankfully. SkyClan needed their cats to be awake and alert on patrols. 

"Most definitely," Hawkpaw mumbled.  "My mom... she was there and she told me this weird prophecy thing."  Even though it had actually happened and he was telling another cat, he couldn't really believe it himself.  Like his own words were fake.  "Why do you ask?  D-did you have a weird dream, too?" he questioned.

Dawnfrost hadn't spoken a word ever since she woke up from her dream.  Thornfire had a similar reaction.. hm..  She'd have to ask him about that later.  Right now, Thunderhowl was silencing both him and his sister, Sandstream.  Calmly, she rested her head on the moss bed [rhyme lol.] once more and rested.  No way was she able to go to sleep again!

Hailfoot is such a deep-ish sleeper he doesn't wake up.  Or at least he's pretending he's asleep at this point.

"The prophecy... Where we must find the place where the sun brings light to the world..." Icepaw added, her eyes looking mystified. "Hawkpaw, I was visited by my mother too! Were we chosen?" She asked, voice growing with excitement. She still kept her tone low, afraid to wake up the sleeping warriors.

"Sorry, Thunderhowl." Thornfire and Sandstream muttered, both looking like scolded kits.

"Ah, we may as well wake up now. It's time to organize the dawn patrols, anyway." Thunderhowl shook his head like a confused old badger, rising from his nest and walking out of the warrior's den. 

Dawnfrost lifted her head and padded out of the den, following behind Thunderhowl.  She didn't know what to do, since she was so... frazzled.  Yes, that was the only word the cat could think of to describe herself.  Frazzled.  What a word that was.  Changing the subject, Dawnfrost wondered if she would be picked for the dawn patrol.  It was in her name, after all.  At that, she laughed a bit, but stopped herself.  Her mind wandered to the dream once more.  When shall she ask Thornfire?  Now?  Maybe so, now would be an ok time.  Poking her head back into the warriors' den, she softly mewed, "Thornfire, can I speak to you?"

"Yeah.  Yeah, that's it.  We have to find Moon-star and Star-moon, don't we?" Hawkpaw spoke.  Each word he said made him think more about it and become more intrigued.  "We're going to have an adventure!" he meowed joyfully, but still in a hushed tone.  This young tom loved adventures.  "This must mean that we're chosen, Icepaw!  But who are the other two?  It must be a warrior, unless it's Thunderhowl, Hallowtail, or Spottedstar.  But I doubt that the deputy, medicine cat, or leader would be chosen.. or would they?  If it is a warrior, though, we only have Dawnfrost, Songfern, Hailfoot, Thornfire, and Sandstream to choose from.  Wait... that list sounded a lot shorter in my head.."  Everything was so much information and all of a sudden.  It was sort of hard to process all of it for Hawkpaw.

[[ The Clan is way too small ._. Maybe we should just pretend it's a big clan, and the rest of the cats are NPCs o3o ]]

Grumbling, Thornfire stepped out of his nest, accompanied by his sister, who usually followed him.

"What's up, Dawnfrost?" Sandstream asked, perky as usual despite the fact that it was dawn. Thornfire look disgruntled, which was quite normal.

"The other two can't be Spottedstar, Thunderhowl or Hallowtail! We need a medicine cat, and the leader and deputy must guide the clan!" Icepaw added. "No queens, I supppose. StarClan wouldn't choose those cats to go." Icepaw tried to think, then leaned over Hawkpaw, poking her head out of the apprentice's den to look for any warrior out already.

"Songfern!" Thunderhowl called, reaching the she-cat. "I want you to lead the dawn patrol with Sandstream and her apprentice." He nodded towards the sandy-colored she-cat conversing with her brother and Dawnfrost. "I'll have Talonstrike lead the morning patrols later too." Thunderhowl said, more to himself than to the she-cat. 

(Um. Ok. ._. )

"Oh, uh.. nothing much," the oddly colored she-cat mewed.  "I just woke up, after all.  Nothing much to say so far."  Dawnfrost thoguht about other things in her mind separate to the coversation at hand.  So many things to do... or at least it seemed like it.  But really, there was only a few.. wasn't there?

Hawkpaw's ears flattened in anger at Icepaw's words, but to cooperate for now, he decided to not flame out.  "Yeah, yeah, I know.  It can't be them.  And what are you looking for out there?  Like we're going to notice who else is chosen?  I mean, we can't tell by looks.  We need information that no cat will likely give us, and we'd be labeled crazy for going around the whole Clan and asking," he meowed.

Songfern whipped around to find that she was leading th dawn patrol.  Wonderful. Sandstream and Hawkpaw were coming along too, she noticed.  Padding over to Sandstream, she softly spoke.  "Sandstream, you will be coming along on the dawn patrol with me.  May you also bring along Hawkpaw?  He's needed, too."

Icepaw shrugged. "Well, to the clan, we'll probably be all weirded out by this dream. I mean, I think I'll still be daydreaming about it while I'm on patrols and training. Just keep a look-out for warriors that are acting odd. It can't be hard... right?" She trailed off. "I think the warriors are waking up also. Pretend to be good!" She dived into her nest and pretended to be asleep, though one ear was still pricked up.

"Huh? Oh sure, Songfern!" Sandstream nodded and obediently headed off towards the apprentice's den, sticking her head in. "You're up already, Hawkpaw! May as well wake up Icepaw too. We're going on patrol! Not sure what Hailfoot has in store for Icepaw, though." 

---

Thornfire made an annoyed little tch sound when Sandstream headed off. "Well, now that she's gone, what did you want to talk to me about?" He asked. Dawnfrost had obviously called him out, not Sandstream. His sister just enjoyed accompanying her brother. He couldn't exactly blame her, since they only had each other when they were apprentices, with no proud mother or father to look after them.

"Well... You looked sort of like I must have when you woke up.  The ex
pression... on your face, I mean," Dawnfrost answered.  "So I was wondering if it was the same reason as me.  You know.. it was something important.."  The she-cat was careful not to say anything exploiting, since Thornfire might not even be another one of the chosen.

Songfern padded away to go get ready for the patrol.

---

Hawkpaw quickly did a 180 spin and turned to face his mentor.  "Um, ok.  I'll meet you by the tunnel," he replied quickly.  The entrance/exit to the camp of SkyClan was a small tunnel that had thorns in the beginning, but itf you were a SkyClan cat, of course you could easily maneuver around their sharp points.  Then it was a small tunnel covered by fallen branches with an unknown sticky substance sticking them together[it's resin].  Some moss and lichen coated the inside, too, with a sandy bottom.  Hawkpaw proceeded to 'wake' Icepaw by prodding her with a paw.  "Wake up," he said inconvincingly.

"You were visited by Starclan too?" Thornfire jumped to the conclusion, his blue eyes widening and looking quite excited. That meant he wasn't mad after all! And Saberclaw and his mother were really safe in the StarClan hunting grounds! Thornfire hoped that Dawnfrost agreed, but he also feared the prophecy. It also meant that he was... Chosen?

"I'm here!" Sandstream called to Songfern, catching up to the warrior.

---

"Haha, she fell for it!" Icepaw poked her head up and she jumped out of her nest. "Come on, Hawkpaw. It's the morning now! Become more active." She said perkily. 

"I am active.  Just not hyperactive."  Hawkpaw said, joking.  He was acting quite the opposite of himself this morning.  It was becoming strange.  Even he noticed it... Although why?  "Anyways, keep a lookout for the other chosen cats while I'm on patrol, 'kay?"  Clearing all of these confusing thoughts, he had to make room for his patrol!  A patrol is normal.  So that should feel... well, normal.  Hawkpaw padded out of the den and left to go sit beside his mentor.

"Good.  And there comes Hawkpaw," Songfern mewed.  "We can head on now."  Her tail swished as she entered the tunnel.

---

Hailfoot, being a lazy bum, is still sleeping.  WOW.

---

Dawnfrost nodded vigorously.  "Yes!  My dad came and he told me that me and three other chosen cats would have to go find Star-moon and Moon-star and go to the place where the sun brings light to the world..."

[[ someone shall go wake up Hailfoot o3o ]]

"Morning, Hawkpaw! I see you're active today. That's unusual." Sandstream greeted her apprentice the normal way, then followed Songfern, pausing to wait for the little tom.

Thunderhowl watched as Songfern lead the patrol out. "Where's Icepaw?" He asked himself, looking for the other apprentice. He checked the apprentice's den, and found the silver she-cat chasing a moss ball.

"Icepaw! What are you doing?" Thunderhowl didn't seem happy. Startled by their huge deputy, Icepaw froze and immediately ducked her head.

"S-s-sorry, Thunderhowl!" She mewed. "I just didn't see Hailfoot around, and I didn't want to bother him!"

"Hailfoot? Where is that mouse-brain, anyway?" Thunderhowl stalked out of the apprentice's den and into the warrior's den. He groaned when he saw the tom still curled up in his nest. "Get up, Hailfoot." Thunderhowl prodded the tom in the belly. "Icepaw's waiting for you!"

"There were four chosen... There's two of us now, who are the other four? Definitely not Sandstream, she seemed comfortable enough in her nest." Thornfire sighed. Sometimes his sister was just so lazy... 

(He had it coming o3o )

Hawkpaw only slightly nodded his head in reply to his mentor, then padded after her and Songfern.

Hailfoot's ear flicked in annoyance from being woken up from his wonderful sleep, but it couldn't be helped.  He had to wake up sometime, you know, to do Clan duties.  Getting up, the drowsiness of sleep hitched along with him.  Shaking his head to get himself up a bit further, the warrior went over to Icepaw.  "Icepaw,"he meowed, "Time for training."

"Yeah, not Sandstream... Most likely not Hailfoot, either.  Sleep is his hobby," Dawnfrost mewed with an amused purr as she saw Hailfoot finally get up and go to Icepaw.  "And the most important Clan figures wouldn't be chosen, would they?"

Thornfire shook his head. "StarClan would never want to deprive SkyClan of its leaders and medicine cat." He twitched his ear, frustrated. "Who else can it be, then?" He said, more to himself than to Dawnfrost.

With a joyful skip, Icepaw obediently followed Hailfoot, nodding her thanks to Thunderhowl for waking up the lazy warrior.
