Personality: Minnie is, by nature, a very cheerful person. He always looks for that silver lining to any and every situation. On top of that, he can't stand the sight of unhappy people. Here we see his incredible talent of lighting up rooms with his presence, and working people out of their sadness. Much of this means cuddling, so Minnie is rarely seen without a snuggle buddy nearby. So here we have the cuddly, puppy-esque Jung Min. He's also a bit sneaky, so watch out.

Personality: She is a quieter breed of optimist than her dear friend Minnie. Sweet, a little shy at first, maybe even withdrawn if she gets a bad first impression of someone. After that, however, she's more just the kind to sit back and smile, ignoring any sign of negativity in the world. It just doesn't fit her ideals, so she pushes it out. Negatitvity-B-Gone, kind of thing.

Ru's People:

Two figures sat on a curb, leaning against each other in a way that spoke volumes. These two, though male and female, were in no way romantic toward each other. Rather, their body language said siblings, or as close as they could be. The girl had her head on the boy's shoulder, his head on top of hers, and elbows linked. Their surroundings were as high class as they appeared to be, all clean streets and large house with gates. The two houses they sat in front of seemed nearly as pressed together as the boy and girl were, further detailing their close, platonic relationship.

The girl was fair, in both the sense that she was light skinned, and that she was lovely to look at. Her heart-shaped was pale and doll-like. With this, her wavy black waist length hair, large and inquisitive brown eyes, full peach lips, and long, slender build, the girl was everything perfectionistic and idealic of Korean women. All this was clad in in a fashionable sun-dress of pale pink, showing off the soft, delicate lines of her body and her shapely legs, ending in strappy gold sandals.

Her fahion advisor wore a pain white t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and brand new sneakers, looking nearly as pretty as the girl he sat with. His bleach blonde hair was immaculately done, face flawless, and the simple clothes were pressed and starched. He even wore a touch of eyeliner, making his appear larger and brighter. The girl looked to her companion, thinking that with a simple change in apparrel, the boy would easily outshine her by being a far more beautiful female. The only oddity would be his lean, muscled arms, broad chest, and the clear signs of a rippling six-pack under his shirt. Then again, all dancers were well built, weren't they?

"Minnie, when are they going to be here?"

"How am I suppose to know, silly Nai. What say we sing to pass the time? Awww, come on. Pleeeaaaase?" He pouted until Nai bean to giggle, gradually nodding. With that the two launched into song, their voices mingling, shifting and twisting as if dancing together. For most of the song Jung allowed allowed Nai's bright, sweet soprano to take the lead, lifting and strengthening it to create a cheerful, upbeat sound. Occasionally Nai would step into the background, letting Minnie's pleasantly soft tenor take the melody, adding decorations and frills to dress it up into something else entirely. From the beginning it was clear that alone they were both gifted singers, but the way they took care to blend added a level to the sing that a lone performer could never achieve on their own.

So they sang, and waited.

A small car drove by all the houses and was quickly trying to get to the biggest houses at the end of the road. Inside, two brothers. Middle classes kids that didn't really seem all that the same. Their eyes were different shades and shapes. The way the sat was the same but what they did to occupy themselves was completely different.

The first boy sat with his head against the window. His black eyes gazing at all the houses. On his head was beanie that had a pair of ears on it. His long hair was still well out of the cap though. His hair was fluttering slightly as the air conditioner was placed at the highest level. For some reason, the two adults in front just liked the cold when this boy couldn't really stay in the cold. His glasses fell to the end of his nose and he gently pushed them up. His jet black hair reached the middle of his back, but the boy next to him was playing with it and braiding it. He placed his hands on his black pants and continued to stare out the window. The houses were beautiful, but unlike what he was used to.

The other boy, who was messing with his brohter's hair, was laying on the seat and continued to play with his brother's hair. His coco brown eyes stared intently at a knot he was trying to remove. His shoes were pressed against the glass of the opposite window that his brother was leaning on. His hair was streaked with some red hair but mostly black. It was getting longer so by now, it was shoulder length. He looked at hs hand, which was wrapped ina black bandage wrap. He sighed and looked at his brother. 

"Hey.. Are you okay?"

The boy with the glasses turned to face his brother. "yeah... Just.. Worried... I've never been out of teh house to somewhere like here.. I mean.. We live in Japan for heavens sake.. and well.. There's my problem.." He pointed to his beanie.

"Don't worry about that Riku.. You'll be fine.. Trust m-" the car stopped adn threw the boy to the floor. They were at their new homes.

Their voices were cut short by the arrival of a shiny black car, stopping... Right in front of them. They were here. A buzz of excitement passed between Nai and Jung, who stood in unison, brushing off their clothing of non-existent dust. Nai stepped forward, her face a warm and open smile as Jung opened the nearest door. They both looked over the new-comers with a friendly ind of curiosity, keeping any trace of unpleasant emotion from their faces.

"Welcome! You must be the exchange students. My name is Kim Nai Young, and this is my friend Park Jung Min. You must be very tired from your trip. Would you like to come inside? Dinner should be ready at my house my now."

Jung nodded, giving a small wave to the arrivals. "We have a thing where our families take turns hosting dinner since we are all very close. It's Nai's family's turn, so all of us will be eating there. Of course, I bet... Ah, I'm sorry. I do not know which one of you is staying with my family. I know I have Kyin, and I suppose that whichever one of you is Kyin would like to take their things to my house before we go get dinner." All this was said in Korean, with a bright, cheerful smile. 

Kyin stood up from the floor and stepped out of the car. He opened the trunk and removed his bags as well as his brother's. He listened to the two people talking. He starred at them like they were crazy. He wasn't Korean at all. Only his brother was. He looked at Riku and then at the two people. He spoke in his own native Japanese at first.

"I can't understand you guys... I don't know what in the world you are saying..."

He picked up his bags and looked at his brother. His eyes looked at the two. They looked like two proper kids. Maybe celebrities. But they looked like they came from some up and done family. He slightly despised them but one thing he did know was that he was goingto be seperated from his brother.

Riku pushed his glasses up as we stepped out of the car. He picked up his bags and bowed slightly. He spoke in Korean to them since it was his first tongue. 

"Thank you for having us. Sorry to inform you, but my brother does not speak nor undertsands Korean. He is completely Japanese. AS for I... I'm completely Korean."

He looked at the sinblings and said in English, even though it was a little rough:

"I am Riku... This is Kyin. We are pleased to be with you." He smiled slightly and looked at Jung and Kim.

First looking to the older-seeming brother, Minnie blushed. "So you're the one staying with Nai. Well, at least you're both cute." Without skipping a beat he turned to Kyin, smiling sweetly and switching to flawless Japanese. "It's okay. My parents had me study abroad in Japan for two years, so I'm fairly decent. Both my parents speak the language as well, since my father does a lot of business in Tokyo. Anyway, I'm very glad to have another boy around."

Nai looked to Riku, giving a small bow. "As you can see, language isn't a problem with us. Jung and I both studied multiple languages in school. Anyway, I can show you to your room if you like." With another smile she stepped to the left, pushing the gate open and walking up a flower-lined path to the large, stately home. "Right this way, please." She entered, removing her shoes at the door and peering around before calling out. "Eoma, the exchange student has arrived. I'm going to show him his room while Minnie takes his brother to get his stuff down. I'll bring Riku down soon. Minnie will be around with Kyin shortly." From a few rooms over, an equally friendly female voice replied. "Anyangseyo, Riku! Nai, show him to the dining room when you're done."

The smile steady on her features, Nai made a small sound of confirmation before motioning to an elegant staircase. "Just up the stairs. Eoma and I have been working all week to prepare the guest room for you. I hope you like it." She finally pushed the door open, first on the left, and let Riku see a spacious, well lit room with a large south-facing window. There was a four-poster canopy bed, a sitting area in the window sill large enough to nap comfortably in, a television, and even a little sitting set with a couch, loveseat, and two armchairs, as well as a coffee table. The walls were a soft cream that seemed to absorb sunlight, and the carpet was a deep mocha. The furniture was all tan brocade with pale gold embroidered vines, and several potted plants decorated the corners. "My mother didn't know what colors to get, so we went neutral. We can redorcate if you like."

Through all this Jung bowed to Kyin, friendly and polite as always. "Please follow me." He led  the brother to the right, along a similar path to a similar house, and into the building proper. The shoes were left at the door, and without fuss he led Kyin up the stairs to a room almost identical to the one Nai had shown Riku, with the alteration that the furniture and bedding were both deep red, and the furniture embroidered with bronze vines as opposed to pale gold. Yes, the women consulted each other on everything. "I hope you don't mind, I took liberties with the color scheme my mother wanted. You seem to like red well enough; I just don't like so many neutral colors all in one place."

Riku looked at her and smiled. His native Korean slipping. "Nah.. This is fine.. And if you can.. I prefer Korean than Japanese or english.. It's much easier for me to speak like this.." He smiled and looked at the room. It was really nice and he removed his coat. He draped it over the chair and then, without thinking about his ears, removed his hat. They flopped out and then perked up. He looked around and placed his hat on the chair too. He put his bag down. "Thank you for having me here... It's very nice." He smiled and pushed his glasses up. His ear twitched slighgtly.

Kyijn followed the boy. "well... I see... It looked good.." He sighed when he saw that his brother wasn't with him. "well. I'll put my stuff down and then we can go over to where my brother is.. It would be more comfortable to me." He placedall his stuff down except for his shirt, pants, shoes. and other things.

At the sight of Riku's ears Nai's jaw dropped, hands falling limp to her sides. "Y-y-y... You have the cutest kitty ears ever. If Minnie thought you were cute when he first met you, when he sees how adorable your ears are, he'll flip." Not hesitating she took a few steps fowards, brushing her fingertips gently along one furry extremity. "Well, now, keep that hat off. Eoma will just make you take it off. I should lead you down to dinner now." She grabbed his arm, smiling brightly as she took him back down the stairs.

Meanwhile Jung nodded politely to Kyin, keeping his ex
pression open. "Of course." He led the way back out, around, and to Nai's home, into the dining room. As he did, jung made light conversation. "You two must be like Nai and I, only you can use the reasoning that you're actually related. Nai and I are just..." He fell silent as they entered the dining room, awestruck by Riku's ears. "So... Cute..." Still, even in such a situation he didn't forget to be a good host, and introduced both boys. "Everyone, this Ichishia Riku and Ichishia Kyin. Mom, Dad, Kyin doesn't speak Korean, so I will translate for him."

(I say from here we assume that Jung is constantly translating.)

Four dignified, middle-aged Koreans smiled at the young people, dressed in very nice casual clothing, looking as neat and proper as their children. The nearest man, presumably Nai's father, rose to greet them. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. I am Kim Hyeun U, this is my wife Meloni, and Jung Min's parents, Park Hyung Joon and Sulli."

(alrighty. :3 and when Riku is with adults he speaks )

Riku bowed deeply, bringing his ears back so that they didn't really freak anybody out. Especially the adults.  He looked at them and continued to speak in Korean. "Hello. Im Riku. The older of us two. I am Korean so do not bother yourself with trying to have these two around to talk to me. Thank you for having me and my brotherstay at your house." He smiled cutely and looked at the adults. He was really nervous but tried not to show it. Everyone there was beautiful or really handsome. He felt so ugle and out of place sepecially sicne he had these weir... things on his head and atail.

Kyin bowed, but he didn'ty speak korean so he had his brother translate. "Hello. I'm Kyin... Im the younger of the step brothers. Umm.. Im japanese sao im sorry for not being able to talk to you in your native tongue." He stood up and smiled. He looked at everybody. He wasn't so modest as riku and though he was the 2nd best lookign guy there.

Chucking deeply, Mr. Kim smiled at Riku. "Such a handsome, polite young man! I must keep a close eye on my daughter with you staying here." The other parent's laughed with him, as did Nai as she kept the blush from crossing her cheeks. Instead she glanced first to Kyin, then to Minnie, who stepped in.

"Please, you know as well as I do that Nai is very well behaved around boys, no matter how attractive." He grinned at Riku, eyes twinkling merrily. Nai shot him a grateful look, to which he nodded before Mrs. Kim motioned towards them. "Come, sit! Sulli and I made all this ourselves! We don't want it to go to waste, even if it's terrible." Nodding the two friends took seats with space for the brothers to sit between them, an attempt at making them feel more comfortable in their company.

The spread was just tradition fair, nothing rare or exotic. Still Nai clapped, eyes bright. "Eoma, you make the best kimchi!" She piled it onto her plate with rice, beef, and various veggies, then dug in without hesitation. Her ex
pression turned to bliss, as she enjoyed her food quite thoroughly. Minnie followed suite, albeit with a bit more delicacy. He thought about how, despite being so slender, Nai loved her food. While he ate, he mused out loud. "All these years, and I still can't figure out where you put it all." She only giggled, covering her mouth while she chewed, then answered. "Neither do I, really."

(sorry! spent the night at my friends house...)

Riku felt slightly weird around any girl, considering that he leaned for guys since his brother was straight and he was bi. He looked at the places where they were to sit and he chose the seat next to Nai, so he could at least be known to be the brother with her. He looked at the food and timidly grabbed a plate. He began to serve himself what Nai had served herself. He looked at it curiously before he picked up his utensils and began to nibble at his food. He didn't have a taste for a lot of things, but this was actually pretty good. His black ears shot up to show he was happy and his tail came out of the back of his pants and began to wag slgihtly.

Kyin sat next to Minnie and looked at what was on the table. He wasn't very familia with a lot of things on the table, but since he was rather adventeruos, he took the plate and filled it with everything on the table. He took his utensils and began to dig in like he loved this stuff.

The mothers both flushed with pride at seeing their food so appreciated, but Minnie's eyes were elsewhere. When he saw Riku's tail out the corner of his eye, he leaned back, crossing behind Kyin to pet the fluffy appendage. "So... Cute... I love it." Nai shot him a look, only to be thoroughly ignored. "Oh, Riku, it's adorable." All the parents were stunned, not because of the tail or ears, but because of Minnie's behavior. Mrs. Park glared, her mouth a thin, set line.

"Park Jung Min, we do not want to make Mr. Ichishia uncomfortable by drawing unnecessary attention to his differences. While his ears and tail are adorable, it is impolite to call attention to them, since he must have had a reason for hiding them." Only then did Minnie pull his hand away, though grinning. "Yes eoma."

Riku shook his head. His tail and ears were sensitive areas of his body. The tail sent a shiver up his spine. "P-Please don't.... I mean... i only hide them because in my town... well... I'm mocked for this... it was from something in my past... And I've had these since last year. Sorry.. um.. Mr Park..." He turned away from Jung so he didn't bother him. He continued to eat and was kind of happy that he was pet. He felt kind of special, but it was also something he had hoped would happen to him some day. He wanted soemone to just acccept him. "I'm sorry Mrs Park... It must be new to him... I'll.." He brought his tail down his pants and against his legs. He pulled his ears back so they were against his head and matched his hair. "Is this better?"

Kyin continued to eat and looked at Jung. "Be careful..." He whispered in his ear, "I'll tell you anything you wanna know about my brother if you let me sleep in your bed.. I'm used to sleeping with someone.." He smiled and looked at Jung. He was able to give a rough Korean traslation to Mrs Parks. "The meal is gooder than i've ever eated before. It tastes super yummy." He scratched the back of his head, not sure of how he said what he wanted

At Kyin's rough Korean Mrs. Park smiled dotingly, appreciating the effort. She replied in Japanese, hoping to make it easier for the boy. "Thank you very much. It's nice to know that someone at least likes my cooking. And since you are like my son for as long as you are with us, you may call me eoma." Minnie smiled with pride. Eoma was like a pet name for a mother, and a very personal thing. He was lucky enough to have a very open, loving mother. When Kyin made his offer Minnie blushed, dropping his gaze to his plate. "Alright. I don't mind, as long as you don't mind that I tend to cuddle in my sleep. Nai sleeps in my bed whenever she comes over."

Mrs. Kim reassured Riku, her face warm. "Same goes for you, Riku. I want you to think of this as your home. You don't have to hide your ears or tail. Jung Min will just have to get used to seeing them or else he'll never learn to control himself. Feel free to be yourself." Nai nodded, sharing her mother's smile. "She's right. Minnie needs to learn to not be so handsy." She stuck her tongue out at him, causing the blush to deepen. "And you do cuddle. I need a crowbar to get you off me in the morning."

Riku gave a small chuckle and let his ears and tail pop up again. "I-I see. well thank you... I'm glad someone likes my ears.. I've wanted to cut them off... but.. I can't bring myself to do it anyways. I'm too scared of the pain.." He blushed slightly but looked at Mrs. Parks. "Thank you for the meal.. This is the first decent meal I've had in a while.. My parents don't cook much.." he smiled warmly and his tail swished around, brushing against Nai's arm.

Kyin looked at Minnie. "oh really?! How lucky then.. Riku cuddles in his sleep too. He just clings and wont let go.." he smiled and looked at his brother who only blushed a bright red. "Come on Riku.. You know you do." he nuzzled his head on his brothers. "Anyways. Thank you for speaking in my tongue.. I appreciate it.. it helps me Eoma?. I think that's is.." He scratched his head for not being able to remember. He was pretty... forgettful (Riku is background: Stupid.) No, not stupid. Just slow. 

Mrs. Kim looked a bit shocked at first, then softened into a gentle, reassuring smile. "I would never let you do such a horrible thing to yourself. Those are a part of you, however recently, and they are wonderful." From beside her Mrs. Park laughed, nudging her friend. "Ah, Meloni! They really like our cooking. You are very welcome, Riku. I will make sure that Meloni and I feed you this well every night. Young men need to eat so they can grow properly." To Kyin she looked, switching back to Japanese. "It isn't a problem, Kyin. I will do anything to make you as comfortable as possible during your stay."

Nai looked to Riku, her ex
pression sisterly and comforting. "Would you like to sleep in my bed? I'm used to having Minnie with me, so if it makes you more comfortable I don't have a problem with it. Even if you do cuddle as bad as Minnie." She giggled, ignoring the raised eyebrows of the parents. They tended to notice more than most parents did, knowing Minnie's nature, and guessing at Riku's. At least they wouldn't have to worry about Nai getting involved with her newest 'brother'.

Riku blushed more. "ahh.. n-no.. I'm fine.. I-i'll sleep in my own bed so i don't disturb you.. i-Id on't want to make you uncomfortable since I'm a stranger." He looked at Mrs Kim. "Sorry.. I've just been mocked too much that i've wnated to do that.. Sorry." He bowed his head deeply and looked down, avoiding eye contact. "W-Would you please excuse me. My stomach doesn't feel too good and I would like to rest." He slid his chair back and stood up, taking his plate to the sink and washing it before he pushed in his chair and walked up to his room. He removed his pants and put his pjs on and removed his top shirt, leaving his black male tank under.

Kyin looked at Mrs Park. "Thank you very much. That would really help me.. if Korean slips, I might be able to understand but I'll drag this cutie around with me" He wrapped his arms around Jung's arm and smiled warmly. 

The parents as well as Nai looked after Riku's exit with confusion, but went back to their conversation quickly. Nai just shrugged, relaxing. Her attention shifted to Minnie, who turned bright red at Kyin's statement. The boy obviously didn't know too much about dear Minnie, to torture him like this. She hid a grin, watching Minnie get flustered. The eomas had the same reaction, biting their lips. Minnie stuttered slightly, focusing even more on his plate.

"No need for that. I would be with you any way, since I'm supposed to be helping you learn about Korea." His glance fell to where their arms were linked, heart pounding against his chest.
