 Its (Insert year here), a time where the sea ruled everything. Everyday people set sail onto the deep ocean blue, in search of adventure, riches, hell even love. All the docks were full of grand ships, people constantly venture out, or came in, wanting to explore and see anything, no longer was the world just the city, or county they lived in, it was as farther than you could have ever imagined.

Pirates ruled the seas, and The Royal Battalion runs it. Now the Pirates and the Battalion don’t necessarily get along. The Battalion are the protectors of the sea, there to enforce the rules, and arrest the bad guys, and the Pirates, well they were said to be the criminals, and only care about themselves, but is not necessarily true.

To most -and most- pirates are a group of gangly no goods who kidnap ladies, rob merchant ships and terrorize the sea. But alas, as we all know, not pirates were like that. Pirates were once people with dreams and aspirations, they wanted to be great adventurers, find treasures, hell even find love. But, alas, somehow they lost their way. Now, not all pirates are bad, like the ones in this role play, well their might be a few bad apples but these guys are really just doing it for fun. Now Pirates are normally ran by the guys, and there are a few odd women on the ship. The pirates are also kind of superstitious so most have a couple of gypsies on board

The Royal Battalion is a high clas.s group of navy/marine sailors that patrol the seas, protecting it from the trouble makers and keeping the trouble makers in check. They sail on big fancy war ships, and find themselves better than the pirates. The Battalion fleet is completely males. You will never find a woman on the ship unless they are forced to escort them across the sea.

The two groups never really were at peace. More of a false truce, if seen they had the decency to ignore each other, hell they even drank together is drunk enough, but that icy tension ways always there. So what happens when something is done and the artificial truth is broken and now there is a full fledged war. No longer do they ignore and pas.s each other peacefully. If caught by the Battalion soldiers, it’s off to the gallows with you, but not without a fight. The only place where the truce still exists.

Rules:

1. This is a literate roleplay. So a minimum of two paragraphs per post. (Five-Eight sentences) So proper spelling, grammer, capitalization and no talkng liek dis. And Use some form of OOC when out of Character. (ex. ( ) OOC: BIC: { } [ ] ) But Brain fails are possible so do tell when you have them. Abosultly no one liners!

 2. Keep this PG16, and feel free to cuss as much as you want. We are sailors after all.

3. Romance is also allowed, but nothing past sweet talking and kissing. Oh an no instant love, sure you can haves crushes but not like first time you laid eyes on this person you love them. And don't whine if nobody likes your character please, its rather annoying. And don't make you character fall in love with the first person they talk to. Stuff like that annoys me, and I don't know why XP

5. Also I ask that character are not blind/deaf because well if you were blind/deaf you would be of no use to the ship. What could you possibly do?

Pirates, you will find at pretty much any local tavern, but they also have a secret cave, hidden from the view of any Battalion eyes. It looks like the place below except brighter and lively when the night comes.

Now, when not upon their ship they are on their fancy ship they can be found at tavern or at any fancy shin-dig. Will post pictures.

She loves to sail the sea and feel the wind in her hair. She is a born leader and someday hopes to have her own ships. she is easily angered, however, and will not hesitate to kill you if you suggest mutiny about the captain. She likes to sing and her voice is like that of a siren, though her goal isn't to smash you into rocks. she is unable to love and is very klutzy. She likes the moon.

Position: Captain of Pirates.

Personality: Emmett is brave, co.cky, and flirty, the stereotypical pirate. He is clever, and has sharpened wits, and is rather lawless, as his criminal record reflects. The police are much too afraid to go after him, though, so they merely yell at him hollow threats. He is an impressive swordsman, always carrying his golden sword, "Dorado," and usually does not sport a shield, just for his fancy. He is seen as a crook, even to his own shipmates, but has their respect, so that they have not yet committed mutiny. He is also skilled at hand-to-hand combat. He has never been in an actual, loving relationship, in which the two sides love each other, though he has captured his fair share of maidens, including Esmerelda.

Reason of Being: He became a pirate because his grandfather, Black Beard, was an infamous pirate. His father, Lucius, committed suicide, just before Emmett's birth.

History: Emmett lived with Black Beard for several years, until he reached manhood, and overtook a Batallion ship for his own, "Diablo." He then earned the respect of many pirates, and conjured up a crew, as well as kidnapped and bought other members. He has committed murder, thievery, and trickery,and has been arrested, but has always escaped.

Position: Woman of Pirates. It's complicated, though.

Personality: Esmerelda is free-spirited, and rebellious, which was how she caught Emmett's eye. She is romantic, and p***ionate, and loud, not afraid to voice her opinion. She can be a bit too risky, though, too much for her own good.

Reason of Being: Sarah Aunders once was the daughter of a respected Battallion soldier, and engaged to a rich nobleman, but she longed for more. Emmett saw something in her, and kidnapped her, but she wasn't upset that she was taken away. Emmett tried to hara.ss her, but she wouldn't have it. Instead, she chose to stick around and become a full-fledged crew member, changing her name to Esmerelda. He father died. thinking her daughter was being tortured or dead, but she was living among the pirates. The Battallion still do not realize who Esmerelda is, much to her joy.

Name: Hannah Rosalie Fischer

Age: Twenty-Two years old

Gender: Female

Looks: Long, sun-bleached hair falls to her low back, often tied up in some twine, as ribbons aren't common on the pirate ships Hannah lives on. Her skin is pale, despite countless hours slaving in the sun, and a handful of frecklesgrace the bridge of her nose. Hannah has blue eyes, quite wildly colored, that of the first la
yer of the sea, the bright and fresh blue that never looks old. Traded for fancy gowns and stocking, typically, Hannah wears sea uniforms, tailored to her slim waist and womanly-ness, as some of the less literate pirates would say. Her face is pretty, but often unnoticed because of her general being, [see personality] and she wishes sometimes she'd be noticed, but is satisfied with being commended on her navigation and way of working the ship.

Position: Pirate First Mate

Personality: Hannah is an odd girl, always looked down upon by her fellow high-clas.s ladies-in-training, a tomboy always at heart. She prefers to be one of the guys, from making mud pies with her friends as a child, to pulling rebellious jokes in her teenage years, to becoming a pirate now. Being hazardous in her nature, Hannah throws caution to the wind, and always pursues the mention of treasure, knowing the best way to speed up a ship to claim the fortunes sitting in the unknown. This boldness is often frowned upon, but over time, Hannah's built up a shell, though, is not made of rock. Information that is commonly confidential, Hannah has always felt out of place with other women, to whom flirting and charming men was second nature, wheras the same attractive men don't give her a second glance. She strives to ignore this secret insecurity, but especially now is struggling with concealing it.

Reason of Being: If honoring her father isn't enough, Hannah has always been fascinated with the sea's alluring waves, the promise of treasure and adventure driving her to the ocean, to be born there and die there. The only place she would truly be who she is was with the pirates, as her father and grandfather before her.

History: Born to Captain Nigel Fischer of the grand pirate ship, The Snapper, and Lady Evangeline of Wales, Hannah was destined for adventure. Since childhood, Hannah attended to her father as he made trips to the New World to collect gold galleons, a wealthy lifestyle she owned. Velvet and silken dresses were handed to her, fur coats and fashionable hats with small ribbons and lace turned down for old sailor's clothing, aiding her father on expeditions rather than attending a seminary. She was always the favorite of the two twins, having a brother named Eliott, who was much better suited a gentleman, a Lord, even, inheiriting his mother's ti
tle, took the opportunities his sister turned down, and is in the process of becoming such. One stormy journey back from the spice-rich Indies, Captain Fischer suffered a severe leg injury, and has since been forced into retirement.

Other: Twin to Eliott Fischer, who is a Lord in the making, attending his final year of extra etiquite school, then continuing his appearances at balls. His father's lofty fortune, and the one constantly coming in from his sister's escapades, is very wanted, but Eliott will not be present in this roleplay, as he wouldn't get much face time and probably belong to the battalion, betraying his family. Every docking at the English ports, Eliott will make an appearance though, for what family would he be if he ignored his wildly succesful sister?

Name: Cecelia [Lia or Celia] Gitano

Age: Seventeen years old [explained]

Gender: Female

Looks: Lia is a very unusual girl with very unusual looks. She has long auburn hair that reaches about mid back, which curls at the ends and a bit at the middle, and ocasionally all over, if she falls asleep while it's wet. Her skin is olive-toned, and long brown eyelashes that frame her hazel eyes. Her lips are full, and almost always finds a way to color her nails, usually a pale pink. Cecelia wears her traditional gypsy clothes, which are in magenta and a sheer pink, but will often change outfits for otherwise, wearing fur-lined coats in the cold, and slightly shorter skirts for when the summer sun glares at the world. Position: Gypsy

Personality: Celia is often off in her own world, a side-effect of the gift, the elders have said, but really just an effect of her lack of concentration. She is bubbly in general, excited to be chosen for such a great honor [see below], but tries, and mostly succeeds in hiding it, keeping the mystery and allure of a gypsy. Naturally, Lia is a giant flirt, being trained not only in other treasured arts, such as painting, writing, and theater [which includes singing], Cecelia was trained in the art of seduction, an important quality for a gypsy princess. She has a knack for eavesdropping and always pops in when she can easily divert attention to her, as she is still only seventeen.

Reason of Being: A young member to be on a ship, but not for a gypsy; she is of age, as most girls her age are. Her mother, who was a gypsy princess in her time, pas.sing that role to her daughter, who was selected to be sent to a pirate ship for her 'treasures'. It was always a great honor to be selected by the hand of the elders, who saw 'the gift' in Cecelia, an uncanny ability to tell what the stars say, and what the future brings.

History: Lia is the daughter of a gypsy queen, as stated above, and was chosen by the elders of the gypsy kingdom she lived in to be a seer for a mighty pirate ship. She grew up learning the gypsy trade of her anscestors, and is quite happy with the results, though a bit spacey sometimes. [I apologize, she doesn't have much else of a history, she's lived a comfy life.]

Other: Owns a pet monkey, who has light brown fur, and is well behaved around her, but seems to dislike strangers. And yes, I do realize that she seems 'powered' by the reason of being and history, but remember that this is pre-victorian times [I think, or just about then],  and people believed in that.

OoC; I apologize, but I'd like to point out some things that bother me about Feyth's biography. As you put into the rules, blind or deaf characters would not be allowed on a pirate ship, and her character is blinded in her left eye, still very impairing her. Imagine if you lost sight in one eye, I'm not sure you could help maintain a pirate ship. Also, the picture, her skirt is a miniskirt, which doesn't fit the time in the slightest... D: I'm sorry if I seem like I'm railing on her, I'm really not, I'd love her in this roleplay, but I just am peeved by these things. :/ I apologize in advance if this seems rude, it certainly isn't of mean intent.
