[My first attempt at hosting a public Roleplay, hopefully this goes well]

Conspiracies. They reigned our society. Controlled it.
Ever present. I could feel their presence when our president was assassinated, when our economy collapsed, when society itself caved in. We sought out an answer and what did we get? An organization that claimed to be here for "our best interest." But they weren't. They didn't quell the riots, they didn't bring about punishment, and they didn't restore our societies' once-was luster. They resorted to nuclear arms.
It did nothing for us except bring about tragedy. What was once a still beautiful city that lacked order was turned into a playground for disease and aftershock. There are no buildings, only rubble lies where they once stood. The air was unstable, and soon others began to die due to the contagion.
So what was their solution then? Oh, they had this wonderful idea to inject a select few with a virus. It rendered their brains incapacitated and disabled many functions that were necessary for humans to live. This was neither a simple or practical solution. The virus mutated and warped us once-were humans into something terrible. We devoured others. Women, animals, children, it didn't matter, we were driven on our blood lust. Once civilized, we were reduced to savages. Blood stained our hands and dead bodies littered the streets.
They couldn't stop this. For years it waged on, for years we lived in fear, afraid to venture outside of our makeshift homes we had constructed out remains from old buildings.
The only practical thing they saw as an option was to erase our minds. A new vaccine was made, this time it numbed our mental capacity. It made us weak, insecure, brainless, and dependent on our "government." We call them Carnes -- brainwashed followers of the organization. They're like puppets almost. Following every rule and order. But there are a few who resist their hold, resist the rules and dictatorship. We live among this riot-filled city and fight to bring peace. We don't feel remorse for killing the infected. They were humans in another life, but they aren't now...

very well, he loves cats. Everybody has to love something, right?
History: His parents died when he was very young and he
doesn’t remember much of them, his grandmother saved him from his parent’s fate
but she later died of old age. Since then he’s been living on his own in the
basement of what used to be a home.
Appearance: Nicolas has shoulder length dirty blonde hair
(he doesn’t see the point in cutting it) and chocolate brown eyes. He’s average
height and very skinny, considering food is quite hard to get for him.
Name: Raina Gonhides
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Personality: Raina is the type of girl who could convince
you that there are actually little invisible fairies constantly buzzing around
your head. She’s a great speaker and a good decision maker too. She can be a
little bossy and rude at times but she is quite kind once you get to know her.
History: Raina’s parents abandoned her and her little sister
when Raina was 16 leaving them to fend for themselves. It was a miracle that
they managed to survive, but they did. Her and her sister stay inside the
rubble of an old office building.
Appearance: Raina has long medium brown her falling down to
her mid-back and green eyes. She’s
fairly tall and quite skinny as well.
Other: Raina may be an excellent speaker but she lacks in
fighting skills.

Age: 11
Gender: Female
Personality: Despite what is going on around her, Leatah
always manages to keep a smile on her face. She’s very generous and empathetic.
She loves nothing more than to lie down and watch the clouds in the sky
Appearance: Leatah has short (a little less than shoulder
length) black hair and piercing blue eyes. She’s average height for her age and
she’s…skinny, if you even needed to guess.

Is there and age limit and a specific gender ratio? Like if you join with a girl, you have to join with a boy and vise versa?

Gender ratio is irrelevant since there's no need to have an even male/female ratio. (ie; there will be no romance involved)
