Once a pon a time there was a beautiful princess. She lived in a high castle, where no one could reach her. Every day the princess sat waiting in her castle, waiting for a knight to come and save her. Day becomes night, night becomes day, and the prince never comes.
The princess was sometimes visited however, by a cute little mouse. The mouse would crawl up a long stand of vines to see the princess, and he would sit in the palm of her hand and let her stroke him. The mouse was the princess's only friend.
The mouse loved the princess and the princess loved the mouse. The mouse was gorgous, a shiny white coat with a single black spot on his back. The princess was beyond lovely- she had curly long dark brown hair with chocolate brown eyes and full lips. The two suited eachother.
One day the mouse stopped visiting the princess. The princess began to worry. Where had her mouse prince gone? He was the only thing that gave her happiness now. The only other being the princess ever saw was her cruel master, who always would come in and look her over, writing down every imperfection and miniscule detail. Every freckle and hair was documented in the master's immense journal. The thought of that horrid book made the princess shiver.
When the mouse had not come for over 5 days, the princess began to cry. She cried and cried. The master thought that she had simply become sick, and paid no attention to her.
The one odd thing about the master was that she never came close to the princess. There was always a gl*censored* screen keeping them seperate, for the princess was dangerous. Very dangerous.
One day, the master came into the princess's tower and told her she was leaving the tower. Forever. The princess cried because she knew that now she would never find her mouse. He would never see her again.
The master told the princess to lodge tissues up her nose, for the scent of the world would enrage her. The princess thought this was odd, but did as she was told, and stuffed the tissues up her nose. She then was told to put shackles around her hands and feet. Stumbling out of the room, she was pushed into a dark box by an indentifiable source. She cried and cried, her eyes felt that they would never stop leaking. She craved something, she wasn't sure what though. She couldn't stop the tears, couldn't stop thinking about her mouse friend.
The princess looked at the steal the box was made of, and looked at her reflection. She knew she wasn't normal, for she didn't look like the master. Her face was too sharp, too perfect. She was pale, with striking eyes.

Finally, the subject had arrived. It was the late 1970's and this was the first time in over 100 years that it was thought that the human race had detected a supernatural being. The only test was to make these beings walk on needles, for they had no blood, and wouldn't bleed.
The girl had all of the characteristics. She was pale, with fangs, wonderful hair and a sharp face. She was what we would today call a vampire. The only way to be sure was through constant moderating and then a test.
The girl was pushed out of the box, and her eyes grew wide with fear. She didn't know where she was, and she had never seen so many people before. Her eyes instinevly turned red, for the hunger was taking over. They pushed her out forward toward the bed of needles.
She stepped on them, and let out a howl. It hurt yes, but no blood was drawn. She walked arcross the needles, praying for the dreadful moment to be over.
Only vampires can dance on needles.

Welcome to the world of Thrae. Here, everything is dark and dangerous. Mystical creatures walk the lands, watching humans and what they do. It is very odd for any of the Thraelings to cross into the dimension of Earth. But when it does happen, they are tortured, and examined. Never let go of, not unless they take force.
Another vampire has gotten loose of the bindings of Thrae. Now, lives are at stake. If the humans discover the portal, all will be lost, and war will break out.
A society on Thrae, called the Thrack, are in charge of defending this border. They are some of the only beings that can cross into Earth, but only as animals. They are the shapeshifters of Thrae.
Now that the humans have this vampire, they must embark on a dangerous mission to free her. Will they succeed?
