Twins. They've been with each other since birth. They know every small detail and every flaw about each other. It's like their the same person. They're best friends in school; nobody will come in between them. Not friends, not lovers. They love each other to death, and would do anything for the other. 

Except humans are naturally jealous of one another. 

One twin looks at the other and sees a perfect being; perfect skin, perfect hair, perfect everything. Twin A feels as if its sibling is getting more praise and attention from Mom and Dad. But it doesn't express its feelings. They stay inside and the twin acts as if everything is all right; until everything pops.

The jealous twin goes through all things necessary to become as good as the other twin. They'll do practically anything. 

One day, the twin finds itself wondering the neighborhood. A shady-looking man approached the twin, but instead of turning around to go back home, the twin decides to feeds its curiosity. The man offers the twin a deal: to be better than its sibling, for the small price of both the twins' lives. Twin A agrees.

Twin A is jealous of Twin B because TB seems to have the better life. So Twin A decides to become better than Twin B by making them both immortal and gaining a power that Twin B doesn't have. However, immortality isn't what it's cut out to be.

After immortality. The twins try to fit in at an old high school. Spring.

Personality:: I'm pretty much the exact opposite of my sister. We used to be really close, but I don't know what happened. I'm shy, and I never really talked in cl*censored*. She was on the theatre club, while I was in the marching band. However, I did have a few friends, and around them I was very comfortable and funny. 

I'm a perfectionist and a people pleaser. I'm very trusting of people, which has gotten me into more trouble than it has helped me. 

Deal:: I can read people's minds. To know their innermost secrets and what they like and dislike gives me a great advantage in making friends.

Other:: I smoke, but not for the nicotine. It's to keep minds open to me.

"Deal" is what your twin got in return for giving the man his/her life. For example, Kaylee got the ability to read minds. Your character might have the ability to fly, invisibility, telekinesis, etc.

Oh, btw one pair of twins doesn't know that another pair is immortal.  

I will start typing my intro now. :)  

Kaylee squinted her eyes into the sun as it rose above the horizon. Her twin sister Alaina paced around the room. It was a nice room, but useless to immortals. The front door stood wide open, letting in crisp air. Birds were singing to each other, gathering food for their children. 

"Alaina. Chill out. I don't know what you're so worked up about." Kaylee turned on her sister, looking up at her with flaming blue eyes. 

Alaina returned the gaze with equal irritation. She crossed the room, got centimeters away from her sister's face, and hissed through clenched teeth: "I would have like to die when I was supposed to. I would have like to grow old. But thanks to you, you selfish little brat, I didn't." She straightened, and briskly walked away. 

"Then just leave!" Kaylee stood and walked through the door, not waiting for her sister to outsmart her. What that shady man didn't tell her that fateful day when she trading everything, was that she couldn't read Alaina's mind; and not being able to do that was almost as bad as being without the power at all. Alaina could still make a fool of her.

It was much later after their fight when Kaylee drifted into school. The bell hadn't rung yet, so she walked into the gym where most of the students went to hang out before school. They sectioned themselves into groups. She felt some of the students acknowledge her entrance, but nobody she really cared about. After seeing into the minds of some of the teenagers, Kaylee decided she didn't want to be friends with them. 

She sat on a bench, the 'outcasts' sitting a few seats away from her. She picked at their minds, finding one who sympathized with her for being alone. Alaina walked in a few minutes after Kaylee, and went to stand with the 'pretty' girls. Kaylee snickered as a few of them felt hate for her. Not the kind of hate that talked behind your back--well, sometimes it did--but the hate that was really jealousy.
