I'd like this to be more of a human romance than a dragon romance, just for the record. In this roleplay, dragons cannot think for themselves and are about as intelligent as horses. They share the same pack mentality that wolves do as well.
You didn't honestly expect me to create a roleplay with just dragons, did you? Here are a few other creatures that you will find scattered throughout the roleplaying world...
Dragons: Dragons are just about as intelligent as horses, but, of course, they are much bigger. Like horses, there are not very many in the wild because they have been captured or hunted in the past. Now, they remain a domestic pet that must be handeled with the utmost care. Dragon breeders become very rich and wealthy, because dragons only produce an egg once every six months. It takes ages to time the cycle of each female dragon for breeding purposes. When a dragon misses the time for breeding, then it will lay an infertile egg which are very cheap on the market, and often used as breakfast items for the wealthy.
Gryphons: Gryphons are actually smarter than dragons. They are found more commonly in the wild, and much less in captivity. They are like cats and dogs when it comes to their relations with dragons: some get along and others don't. They have that same pack mentality however, and oftentimes, captive groups of dragons and gryphons will merge into one. Gryphons and dragons will sometimes be caught breeding with each other, but it is impossible for any new life to be created by these means. Gryphons are not popular pets because the captive ones do not hunt for themselves, and only eat particular meats. Gryphon breeders usually end up poor... or eaten by their beasts,
Death Horses: Also known as Nyghtmares, Death horses are intriguing creatures- very rare in the wild and they are not often found in captivity because of their wild and aggressive nature. The only means of obtaining one is to find one in the wild, somehow manage to capture it, and then keep it from getting away. They are more intelligent than dragons and gryphons, maybe even humans.(Rmail me for more on this species)
Pegasus and Unicorns: These two mysterious types of horses are said to only appear to those who have a pure soul. Someone who has never gone out of their way to be mean to another and have never told a lie; and it must remain that way if you wish to capture and breed it into your line of horses.
Psygirs: The peculiar combination of a hyena and a wild cat. They were first created by Charles Darwin himself with futuristic nuclear energy. It has glowing orbs runniing down its sides. It shares the stance and strength of a hyena with the stealth and speed of a wild cat. A very deadly combination if you find that one is hunting you.
Dragines: Dragines are not all that different from cats. They are the unholy mixture of a dragon and a cat, created by Charles Darwin in his quest to create the ultimate predator (this was before the Psygir). He didn't mean to release them into the wild because they were too dangerous, but they managed. They mixed themselves with the natural populations of miniature dragons and domestic cats, and no two are exactly the same. They are the size of cats, but have no fur. Instead they have scales, which come in all the patterns that cat fur does. Lots of people have them as domestic pets, but they aren't easy to keep because they hack up embers onto furniture. Pure breeds can breath fire if they are trained enough. -Created by Ribunny-
Hellhounds: Hellhounds are dogs with two heads and a vicious attitude. They come in all normal dog colors (the most common being doberman or just plain black), or they are born with magma pelts. Hellhounds are rare in the above world, unless they are accompanying a demon or half-breed. There's one more catch about hellhounds you should know: no animal or human can see them unless they are attacking you. Only demons can see them.
Demons: Demons are the only species that can see hellhounds, and they are the core of their power. Demons are a lot like humans, but most commonly have red eyes, and claws instead of finger nails. (Not to mention the forked tail) A half breed will look exactly like a normal human, and have potential to be dangerous; but they are rare because demons lack any emotion that is against killing. Demons have no powers other than to summon hellhounds and teleport to hell, where they live.
Bcorian: Bcorians are strange animals, difficult to describe to someone who has never seen one. They are like small bears with a scorpian tail. They come in any darkly shaded color, most commonly purple, and have spikes running down their back. Though they are sharp, they have a soft velvet la
yer of skin on top of them, causing them to be sensitive to the touch. They have saber teeth for fighting and goring opponents. Bcorian are not natural creatures, created by Professor Winter and his partner Charles Darwin on their quest to create the ultimate predator. The two got into an argument about whose creation was better, and decided to have them fight. The two species (the other being the psygir) escaped and bred a population in the wild. They have an ancient feud that cannot be lived down. All psygirs will always attack all Bcorians, and vice versa. Another thing you should know about the Bcorian is that they hunt in packs, similar to psygir, and most other predators in the forest. A fight between one of them and a psygir will never end, for they are equally matched. The only thing that never ceases to scare them are Nytmares. (Created by Ribunny123)
Crystaline: Crystaline are solitary hunters, and are not very different than tigers. they were created by Professor Winter when he was experimenting with wild cat embryos, and diamond shards slipped into the petri dish. When the first one was born, Professor Winter discovered that they have crystals embedded in their fur, which are rumored to have emotion-changing qualities. The crystaline itself comes in a variety of darker shades that resemble the night sky, and sometimes have silver stripes. The females are the size of natrual tigers, and males are about 25% larger; born in captivity and carefully bred, a male can reach the size of a dragon. They have a soft patch of fur on the ridge of their back, softer than any human material. They were nearly hunted to extinction because of it. Their population remains untouched on the Academy grounds though. Crystaline are naturally peaceful creatures, and rarely fight. (Created in partnership with Ribunny123)
Fjorn: Fjorn are middle sized cats about the size of a cheetah, usually smaller. They are naturally bright colored. Males will always be cold colors (blue, purple, green, etc) with warm eyes, and females will always be warm colors (pink, red, yellow, orange, etc) with cold eyes. The most unique thing about Fjorns is their voice. They have the ability to screech at ear-splitting volumes, which can temporarily deafen a person at short range. They aren't difficult to find in the wild because of their unique call, as they are naturally vocal animals. They weren't created by anyone in particular. Believe it or not, they are natural creatures. (Created by Ribunny123)
Neons: Neon animals are some of the strangest there are. They aren't very common, as they are only bred for those who order them, lessening the chance of one ending up taken and unpaid for. Recently, it has been a common practice for such breeders to kill unwanted baby neons who cannot be paid for by someone who ordered them. Neon animals are the same as normal animals with a catch: they are neon colored. They are bred purely for looks and grace.
War Animals: War animals are companions that are specifically bred for warriors going to war or battle with an enemy force. War animals are more intelligent than their natural counterparts, and stronger as well. the most common war animals are wolves, big cats and birds of prey. The rarer and more expensive war animals are dragons, psygirs, gryphons, and on very rare occasion, death horses.
Rmail me if you have any questions or suggestions please. I will not respond to them here.
RULES::
Please be semi-literate.
Use OOC.
No mary-sues, gary-sues, powerplaying, god-modding, or cursing in OOC at someone else (unless used in a humorous or otherwise appropriate tone)
You can curse as much as you want in the rp. It will get censored if it's too bad.
Romance is heavily encouraged, but more between people than between animals. The creatures are merely pawns for the success.
Violence is allowed.
For those of you who don't know, the dragon academy is where people come to learn to be dragon breeders and trainers.
As the supreme ruler of this roleplay, I reserve the right to *censored*ign a co-owner, un-*censored*ign a co-owner, make new rules, take away rules, accept and reject bios, and kick out people who disobey the rules.

Future Careers Available to Academy Graduates:
Professional Dragon Breeding: One of the most prestigious careers one could hope to have, but it is not common for anyone to start their own dragon breeding company. Some well known dragon ranches are as follows, where professional dragon breeders are employed...
Jingle Dragons is a ranch that breeds mainly show dragons, which are dragons used for showing in rings and as personal pets. Neon animals are also bred here, but not as widely. They are very strict about their dragon breeding, and particular about the food they eat.
Dragonery: One of the first successful dragon breederies in the world. The catch is that it is located all the way in Colarado, in the United States. They have a vast amount of land, and free-range dragons in specific areas. The dragons are always very well trained, but they can sometimes have health problems, an issue that they are eager to fix. They specialize in war dragons.
Dragon Training: Not as prestigious as Dragon Breeding is, but it's less difficult and easy to get a job in this after graduating from the academy.
Surgeon: A surgeon is a term used to describe doctors and nurses who specialize specifically in dragon anatomy, health and brain functions. One is required for every ten dragons a ranch owns as a safety precaution, so it's easy to find a job in this area, and the pay is substantial.
Explorer/Adventurer: Explorers are mainly self-employed, and don't have a constant pay rate. They venture out on their own with a companion into areas that need to be evaluated, and are paid for discoveries and documentaries that they write. They usually work in pairs, as it isn't wise to go out alone in some places. They also don't usually have dragons, as they are difficult to tend to when you're constantly on the move.
Genetic Engineer: These people specialize in creating mixed breed animals that will be helpful in some way. It is essential that they are not released into the wild, or there will be serious consequences. They are only to do experiments on work orders from the division.
(Rmail me with suggestions for jobs and such. :3)
I am currently working on a dragon breed directory, so stay patient! And rmail me if you're interested in learning about the dragon breeds, or contributing to the list
