A cryptid is a creature that is not yet recognized by science. They are studied by cryptozoologists (Not really sure how it's spelled xD) who devote their life to prove the existences of cryptids, some examples of cryptids that have been proven real and recognized by science are: The Mega Mouth shark, the Giant Squid, and examples of cryptids are: Bigfoot, The Jersey Devil, El Chupacabra, etc..
