So, vendetta is a feud between two groups of family. In this, you will either be a member of the Samuelson clan or the Hugh clan.

So, the great-grandfather of the Samuelson family killed the great-grandfather of the Hugh family when the Hughs burned down their farm. This led to years of revenge, killings and mutilations.
