Jake trudged into school with Solarus in tow. Both of them were sopping wet. It was raining hard outside, so hard they were soaked threw their clothes. They had missed the bus, so they had to walk. Jake had mud in his hair from falling a few times. He was kind of a clutz. The halls were empty, the bell had wrung. Today was a Friday, and like most Friday's, today started with their elective courses. Jake had acting now, and Solarus had chorus. They waved good bye, and turned oppisite directions. Jake walked into the auditoriom, and the teacher yelled at him. As usual. Solarus just got a detention. No words, nothing.

Alexander was already in the room, waiting patiently, which showed just how good his acting skills really were. You see, Alex was pretty much a scitzophrenic and refused to take his meds, so he should be screaming at somebody by now. Or running around like a squirrel on speed.

But he wasn't, because he was acting. One thing he couldn't help, however, was his leather version of the Mad Hatter outfit he always wore. He just really, really liked it.

Maybe because he really was mad. Nobody really knew, not even Alexander himself. His outfit also gave him his nickname, the Mad Hatter.
