A large, majestic hawk circled around a small farm, watching the inhabitants below. They were just getting home from a circus, and it was late. The two kids were asleep, and while one was being woken up by the mother, the other was being carried inside the house by the father. He looked up and noticed the hawk, and seemed to walk a bit faster. The hawk widened its circle in worry, a bit edgy. As the father came out, the mother managed to get the other kid inside. But the hawk had just realized something. Some people still hunted red-tailed hawks, for their feathers. And the father was holding a gun.

The hawk arced widely, trying to get out of the range of the shotgun, but didn't get out of it in time. There was a loud 'BANG' followed very quickly by the screech of a hawk and cussing. Though the man had missed his mark--the heart--he had hit the hawk's left wing, and the creature now flew sloppily back toward the city. It landed on the top of the first telephone pole it found, its wings flared out, the left hanging limp against the pole. It was quickly replaced by a young man, only about 25, with two wings flared out, the left hanging limp, and two fox-like ears poking out of his shaggy brown hair. He was cradling his left arm, and swearing quite colorfully.

For those of you who know my little buddy here who got shot, this is in no way related to the other RP he's in, despite slight references. I just added those for fun. ;D

Anyways, The plot is basically, my character has gotten himself wounded, being the troublesome little dwight he is, and has no way to get back to his lifestyle until both his arm and his wing heal. Which can be a while. So here he is, a shifter, stuck in an unfamiliar city, unable to shift without aggrivating the wound. Its up to you to help him--

Or harm him.

He glanced down. He was quite a ways up, with no true way down. He couldn't glide--his left wing was dead and useless. And he couldn't climb--his left arm was injured as well, having been 'a part' of the left wing. He glanced back in the direction of the farmer's house, a hard glare taking control of his usually calm green eyes. He turned away, facing the city. In the distance, he could still see the top of the colorful circus tent. With a sigh, he wondered how long he'd be up there, before someone noticed or he got down.

Personality: Kanec is usually relaxed and carefree, when alone. But when there's someone else around, he instantly becomes serious and hard-hearted. Though he guards his heart and tongue, he usually ends up slipping up, and says something he regrets, or softens up unintentionally. He is, however, very sensible, and sees things at a different angle than most.

Looks: He's got shaggy brown hair and green eyes. He normally wears simple clothes, but also wears a rather thick coat. All the time. He has no idea how he stands the heat. He has two large, brown wings, cream-colored and flecked with brown on the inner feathers. He also has fox-like ears, brown. Ish.

Abilities: Extreme speed and breathing underwater

Personality: Her mild personality makes her a great person to hang out with, but at times she can be very angry or very happy. She goes through mood swings.She can be mysterious and if you get her for a friend, you have a loyal friend for life. Watch out though, if you betray her, she will not hesitate to hunt you down.
History: Doesn't have one that's interesting because I ish brain-dead
Looks: Due to a mishap in a lab when she was born, instead of her being just being a very fast human, something happened with a fish and she ended up with gills and fins on her arms and neck. Other than this, she looks like a normal girl, albeit normal might be the wrong weord. She has pale skin that has lines resembling scales and white hair that seems to be always wet, the not beautiful wetness.

Her eyes are a bright silver and she is usually seen wearing a white tunic with silver lining, one that she made herself, being that her family dumped her in the forest after seeing the flaws she had.

Personality: She is kind and caring, if not a bit mysterious at times. Often her anger gets the best of ehr and she loses control. Being a great fighter has its disadvantages. When she lost control one time, someone ended up badly hurt and let me give you a hint, it wasn't her.

If she sees anybody in trouble, she will help, even if they have betrayed her. She hates to hurt people, despite her issues, and will do anything that she can. she is very set in her ways and hardheaded that often gets ehr into trouble.

History: She was born in a small town toa kind family. when she was 11, she went off to find some work at a local farm. She wasn't paid, due to some problems, but it was good enough and she got free food.Eventually, she got too old to do that and started to learn how to fight. she kicked on trees and hay bails and other things. Before to long, when she was 18, she left the place.

She went to become a nurse, but she was thrown out. Because of the fact that she had been homeschooled and that she had never gone through college. She left them and went back to her family. For a while she was happy, but she felt like something was missing andso therefoe left to become a nomad. She has been traveling ever since.

Looks: She has blond hair and purple eyes. Her skin is fair, but not pale or dark. She has numerous scars from fights and other runins with gangs and wild animals. On her back she has two scars that cross in an x from a gang leader that had swords. He vowed to kill her, but she hasn't seen him since.

She wears a bright blue tunic with red lining because of her heritage and no shoes. In her hair is a long ribbon that her mother gave her and attached to her pants is a holder that has a sword called Sylver Fyre.

Age: Looks to be about 23 years old--is really around seventy years (Bird shifters llive in the 200-year range)

Species: Human-Bird Shifter Hybrid (?) -- Dove, crane, and osprey
Abilities: Besides shifting?  None.
Personality: Anila hates to see suffering.  Even the sslightest incomfort makes her want to throw up--at least when it comes to animals.  While oftentimes whimsical and carefree, the mortals of her world often are a cause of rare hate from Anila.  Even though she is half-human herself, the spceicies irks her to no end.  She has a soft spot for those who care about the things that count, though, and Anila has learned to deal with the anger.

Anila, when befriended, is very loyal and protective, but not overly clingy.  she's independent, for the most part, but can get terribly lonely.
History: Anila came from an interesting mix.  Her mother, a young woman from a street gang, met her father completely by chance.  After a few dates, Anila's mother--Karin,realized that she was pregnant.  Her father fled after that, only coming back to Karin when Anila was born to take his child--her mother had no idea that she was anything but mortal--and raised her himself.  Anila learned, when seh was ten, that her mother had been killed on the streets a few months later, and has had a deep-set hatred of violent humans ever since.
