The date is December 1st. The winter has been unsusaly cold this year, but as the days approach the 21st, the Winter Solstice, the world gets colder. A constant heavy snowfall is shutting down all supply routes to your little town and the cold is becoming increasingly dangerous.

  As the world begins to shut down, you a a few friends notice strange, dangerous things happening. There are odd deaths amung the livestock and weird creatures have been seen out of the cornersof people's eyes. Large, lumbering creatures with bright red eyes. Old people claim to wake to white faces bending over theirs and babies wake screaming for no apparent reason in the middle of the night.

  The Winter King seeks to expand his kingdom... Cackles the old witch at the end of Hunterscombe Lane. You can almost believe her. Something is wrong, something id terribly wrong, and you might be one of the only ones who can stop it. The Summer Queen speaks through the old witch. Will you answer her call?

  My usual rules apply. Please be litterate and polite. There will be five slots open for male or female. I would prefer that the genders stay even, but so long as everyone has a potential love interest, it'll all be ok.

  Your character will have one of six gifts: The Light, The Word, The Touch, The Song, The Act, and the Walk. These are not specific powers, but more of a concentration. The setting is not in modern times, but not medeval either. Coal is still nessecary for heat and the village is tiny and isolated. There are phones and cars, but as the time progresses, the snow will render those things useless, so the farther in we go, the more mideval the village will become. On the 1st, the snow has just begun to fall, but it draws intrest because snow does not fall very often there.

Personality: Amber's joy is a softer kind, being content to just be around other people. Touching is natural for her, having come from a rather large family. Kissing on the cheek was a greeting, and if someone walked into a room without touching someone else, that was the first sign of them being in a bad mood. So even the slightest touch speaks volumes to her, and body language is her strongest form of communication, not being a very vocal person.

History: Big, big, big family. Like... Three brothers and two sisters. She's the third oldest, and has only recently been shoved out of the nest to live on her own.

Appearance: 

Personality: Niel is a very, very sweet kid, but he's very flinchy and is easily startled. He's very clingy to October and only ever refers to him as Toby. He's also a very small teenager, only about the size of a ten-year-old because he's had a traumatic past. He loves it when people ruffle his hair because he knows then that they won't hurt him and they just want to be friends. He's also a very shy kid and usually gets October to say a lot of stuff for him because his voice is so soft anyways. Niel has a very innocent outlook on life and believes that everyone can get along if they try hard enough, and he's always the happiest when he's around those he cares about. He has a heart of gold and he acts just like a little kid most of the time. He can act mature if he wants to, but he usually reverts back to his kind, playful nature. However, sometimes he has a relapse of his past and will start crying, at which point October usually come around to help him out. One thing that never fails to calm him down is music, and this little guy simply loves to sing even though he sings rather high.

History: Niel was abused as a child, and as a result he has permanent scars and is completely blind in his right eye. His scars and his blind eye are usually covered in bandages. The reason he's so close to October is because October has always been there for him. They grew up together and through the years Toby has proven to be an excellent friend. He's protected Niel from bullying through the years, and will even sit with him to calm him down when he's having a relapse. This little guy has had a very rough life, but he's come out with a positive outlook, and throughout the years he's come to know a few other people that he's grown used to seeing.
