Ping: I AGREE. It looks much better longer. He does it in the beginning to, when he leaves and warns Sophie not to go too far. Also just before he acccidentsly turns his hair black and summons the spirits of darkness. XDD

I love watching Miyazaki's animations. Hurr hurr, I'm a nerd and savour certain movements made by characters. I especially love watching Howl as a bird, 'cause the movements of his feathers are just juicy. The last bit where he's a hideously grotesque bird with the long neck and the face sunken into that fat flabby neck with all them rolls is one of my favourite bits!

I can just loop over that fat bird thing and just admire the complexity of the animation for ages. The bit where the shooting stars hit the ground and die is also really really really delicious watch! And the wicked witch sitting down of the chair! Watching her fat sink down and the sweat pour out?! Omg that is some good stuff 8D

And then the bit when Sophie was morphing into a young woman in front of Suliman. And then the contrast as she says 'I'm just an old woman'. Good directing! flows awesomely with the music and the mood.

Miyazaki's animations are juicy stuff. Not only does he make them beautifully and masterfully constructed but storylines are deep and complex and you can see the emotion and thoughts of the characters. I also like watching Chihiro eat stuff and curl her toes xD

The problem with Miyazaki's HMC is that he turned the story upside down; but if he didn't alter the story; you wouldn't see as many 'Miyazaki' moments... That sucks Dx
