I'm just so addicted to it right now.

Minecraft is a downloadable game for almost all computer systems (PC/Windows, Mac, Linux/Ubuntu, etc).

It's pretty fun; you get to create absolutely anything you want in the game.

There's fighting in it too, but only if you want it because you can change the difficulty at any time.

The game's still in development but it's cheaper to buy it right now than when it's finished. Plus you get the updates almost immediately when new versions come out.

There's all sorts of different servers and maps for you to try out. Plus many texture packages (the way you view the game) and mods (extra little things to enhance experience in-game) to mess around with.

It may seem boring.. But you can get really creative; it's really based on trial-and-error to make things.

And if you don't want to buy the full game, I'm pretty sure you can play offline or in-browser, which is pretty free.

I'm not asking you to buy it. You can probably watch youtube videos about Minecraft. Famous one that I know about is the BlueXephos channel. They're pretty hilarious. :)

My only problem is digging underwater at nights. D:

I really wish torches could work underwater.. xD; 

I used to play with my friends, back when it was free.

I wouldn't doubt that they'd make My Little Pony into it. I know I've seen some skins of that, not sure about actual mobs.

I prefer building anything else except mining. I get lost in my own mines. xD; I haven't really tried using other people's maps yet. I might when I'm bored one day. o: 

I've watched BlueXephos (AKA Yogscast) Minecraft videos on Youtube. They got me interested then I found out my husband was playing Minecraft too, so I bought the game too. xD

Does anyone know any good adventure maps? o3o

u start in a cave which takes a while to get out of :| but it gets way better 

Jenny, if you combine a torch with a pumpkin, it'll make a Jack-o-Lantern and be able to be used underwater. :3

I've become slightly obsessed with Minecraft for the past few days. e.e My friend gave me a copy, and last night I facepalmed because when I was going downstairs to get something to drink, I was looking at the ceiling and walls around it wondering how many blocks I'd need to make it and visualizing the square lines. /fail

I know, lol, but it's cool. You can also use Glowstone (I think it's called) but those are pretty hard to get without a bunch of inventory hacking. You might get a bit in game, but they're rare and a lot harder than Jack-o-Lanterns.

No. XD I was just thinking about how my house would be made in Minecraft and the design, which would be insanely failish in defending against Creepers. o3o

lol, I've never been able to find Glowstone in my game without hacking. xD; I don't think I could ever do pure survival if things came down to it.

Any regular building would fail against creepers. ;o; Seeing big holes everywhere. xD
