You can find eggs by going to the Explore page. Just wander around one of the planets and within a few clicks or refreshes you should find something.

Once you have an egg, you have to go and incubate it in your Hatchery. After it reaches 100% and says READY, you can hatch it and be sure to get a baby Creatu. You can hatch before then, but it will have a chance to fail and essentially a waste of both a hatch and an egg.

Also, the Creatu list that can be found through the second link at the top of the Hatchery page is useful for seeing what each pet looks like. Just select Any for all the drop-down bars, and you can look through all of them at once.
