I think you mean Skitty, not Kitty. o3o There's an "S" at the beginning there.
I have a lot of "favorite" Pokemon, but I guess the one that I've loved the longest and feel closest to is Umbreon.

It seems a lot of people are mistaking skitty for kitty...(unless its a typo or nickname) I remember in ruby and sapphire I would always hunt around in that tiny patch of grass looking for one XD

I think feline and canine are more general terms which can describe other, similar animals, while cat and dog simply refer to their respective species
