Normal User Posts: 6,296	I don't get it. Why do people think that Avatar is a ripoff of the cartoon Avatar The Last Airbender? On my opinion, they're totally different. o3O Anyway, any fans? I love Jake. He's awesome.

Normal User Posts: 1,314	Cameron's Avatar started going into production in 1994 - he waited until the technology was great enough to make it an awesome film. And he'd been designing Pandora, the Na'Vi and the Thanator since he was a kid, most likely even more of the things from the film. The only reason why people seem to think it's a rip-off is because of the ti tle - "Avatar". Two entirely different productions share the same name. Not a ripoff. o3o Yeah, I adored that film. I own the name Neytiri. ^^

Normal User Posts: 3,642	If you were an Avatar, you'd probably use the same name you always use. xD I don't think any of the three used different names - the Na'vi just mispronounced Jake's to sound more familiar.

Normal User Posts: 1,314	Yah. The Na'vi don't have surnames, so they just bunch all the human words together - to sound more familiar. It happened in the Avatar game, too. They said "AbleRyder" and "ReneHarper" all the time. x3 But, yes - unless you were born a Na'vi, your name would stay the same as it was when you were human. Besides, if you want to stand out, keep your human name. Neytiri and Tsu'Tey and Mo'at all sound fancy to us. JakeSully probably sounds all deity-ish to them. xD Yeah, I saw it in 3D. The side effect - I got a minor headache afterwards. xD

Normal User Posts: 3,642	Minor? Yee, my head was dead for the rest of the night when I watched it. 8( As were my ears; wearing two pairs of gla-sses at the same time hurts. But I couldn't very well go without my own.. I tried, and it made half the 3D look like a blurfest.

Normal User Posts: 5,835	No. I wish it was already out though...Did you see the preveiws for Alice In Wonder Land when you were there? The Cheshire Cat was awesome in 3D. That movie is so cool and I took off my glcensoredes to watch it since I don't wear them half the time anyways. 8D
