Well what are your interests? Or ideas or beliefs you feel strongly about? Like for me, I like mythology and fairy tales so most of my ideas are influenced by them. Or create a certain character based off a few traits of something you’ve seen or heard. Like I have a character who was inspired by Shakespeare’s Richard the III and he turned out…interesting.
Or try things you don’t normally do or see, like maybe find out about new cultures or incorporate your own culture into a story? Or perhaps imagine a ‘what if’ situation like…’what if humans had three arms and twelve eyes’ xD I dunno. Find writing prompts from the internet or ask your friend for a random prompt like ‘seasons’ or ‘labors’ and do a story based off it.
Or try something you don’t like or not very good at doing and see if you can make it likeable? xD That’s what I do if I want a challenge. Like if you do fantasy, try sci-fi. Bring yourself out of your comfort zone and see if you can find comfort in a different style of writing.
To be honest. I don’t know what you write or do so I can’t help you. But this is how I come across ideas so maybe it’ll help in some way xD
