So my ipod is like my entire life. I always listen to it. (Ipod Nano. The square one)

But this morning I was listening to my music and suddenly the song stopped when I didn't hit anything. And when I looked at the screen, it was just the list of songs that a particular artist has (I go by artists, not songs)

So I hit menu. Nothing. Play/Pause, nothing. Middle button. NOTHING!

I plugged it into the computer and pressed the buttons again.

They still didn't work.

 I banged it EXTREMELY hard hoping it would shut the ipod off like it does to a phone and I could restart it.

Failure.

And now it wont turn off, I can't restart it, I can't do ANYTHING with it! Please... my ipod is more important than my phone! And ideas on what I should do!

Finally got it!!! I had to restart it, but there is this special way to restart an ipod that's buttons have failed. If you have ever had this problem, here's how to fix it. (for ipod nanos)

-Toggle the HOLD switch on and off multiple times

-Press down on the MENU and SELECT(middle) button until the apple icon appears (may take 6-10 seconds)

-You might have to do this twice or more

The first step you usually don't have to do, but in this case it is needed.
