Hey rescreatu.

I wanted to ask the users out there if they do any sort of martial arts.

Whether it's taekwondo, karate, judo, etc.

I personally do taekwondo. :D Blue belt, going up to brown.
Which means I have red, red w/ black, then finally black. :u
My younger sister [whose been going a year longer] is going up to first degree black belt in January.
I'd like to see what belt level some of the other users are, and what form of martial arts they do.

I've done alot of stuff for taekwondo, and appeared on TV once. OMNI, or something.
I've been in the newspaper a few times.
Once it was a typo that I got a gold medal at a tournament, when I was just cheering on my friend. xD
I've only actually participated in one tournament, and got silver.
At my studio, my friend and I have been going for a year and a half, though I took a month off in October.
We moved up every belt test except for one, because it was for lower belts only.
So yeah. A little blurb about my taekwondo career.

Feel free to ask me any questions. Also, please share things about your martial art. C:

Oh hey, another person does Taekwondo :D

I'm a second degree black belt in the ATA organization going onto third in December. My sister, Lakeore, is a second degree black belt going onto third in June, and my sister Eya is a first degree black belt.

Yay for Taekwondo!

What does ATA stand for? Is it American Taekwondo Association?
I go to a studio that is associated with WTF {World Taekwondo Federation}.
And yay for black belts! *bows down*
What's your belt order?
The one I go to is:

White
White w/yellow
Yellow
Orange
Green
Purple
Blue
Brown
Red
Red w/black

Yeah, it's cool, I like it.

How long does it take for you guys to test up to your next belt?

I took taekwondo for about a year and half and made it to high yellow belt, but I decided to quit. I needed to focus on my academics more.

I did ATA Tae Kwon Do for two years and I am a First Degree Black. If I wanted to get any father, I would've had to become an instructor so I decided to stop after I earned the black since I do not like being the center of attention. ^^;

Meg: I was a blue belt for 5 months. Otherwise, I've been progressing to the next belt every two months. It all depends on how many times you go a week, your skills, and your effort. :) I am now a brown belt! :D Went up for the test yesterday.

And it's so cool that other people do taekwondo. :D I knew I wasn't the only one.

Taekwondo kicks butt (literally and figuratively)
We have to test about 3 months for each new belt. There is a recommended and decided level for each belt though, so if your instructor doesn't think you did everything to the best of your abilities, they can half rank you to the next recommended belt.

By half rank, do you mean they can send you up anyway, but you'd be the belt you leveled up to for longer?
But that often happens in the peewee classes at our studio.
They are so darn cute kicking and punching with their stubby little arms and legs. .u.
But my foot still hurts from the massive sliver I got when I broke the board. It's out, of course, but man, it hur
