Ok so because I have noticed that alot of people on res seem to like pokemon and that the SB moves way to quickly to talk about it and make sense I decided to make this thread. As the ti
tle sugests you can discuss anything to do with pokemon here. Reguradless if itis the anime, manga or video games. You can even speculate on things that may or may not happen usch as how many more gens of pokemon ill there be? Or will there be an actual main pokemon game for the wii instead of ds? etc. To start things off and due to the fact thet Pokemon Black and white will be coming out soon what I would like to know is which version of the two games you will be getting and why? |

I personally want White version, because Zekrom totally pwns Reshiram (lol I sound like a nerd). My friend is planning to get black version, so we would be able to trade version exclusive pokemon to eachother. But first, I need to raise some money for the game, and a new ds because mine is broken. :P New Year's is up a head, so I'm hoping to rake it in with the red envelopes and money and such. xD I'm too young for a job.

Reshiram is pretty cool, but I'm not one for Fire types. Also, I find that Reshiram is everywhere. I get a bit exhausted seeing so much fanart for it, and most of them portraying it like a beautiful faerie queen. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, it just takes away from it being a kick butt legendary. I also know that it is "light, airy, ladylike" (Bulbapedia). How I see it, Reshiram's just one of those more popular Pokemon that put the others in the dust. It's pretty cool, neat design, but there's still Zekrom and Kyurem. But, hey, this is just my opinion, amirite?

I'm going to get White for sure. I hate Reshiram with a pa.ssion... they look like they tried way too hard to make it amazing and epic and stuff. :/
I agree with 1ran, it's coveted a bit too much as well. :C It ruins it a little bit in my opinion.

I want white just cause it's one of my favorite colors, but honestly I think I'm gonna like the old games better. Sapphire's my favorite so far, and I LOVE Kyogre. Haha Dust, I answered your question without even realizing it. |

I'm going to have to say I love the Pokemon in the old Gold/Silver series (I played Silver as a child. Unfortunately, battery-powered gameboy plus a non-savable game = six year old sadness), but my favorite game is Crystal. xD It was so simple to beat, and fun too. o3o But now I'm addicted to SS. :D |

Funny that. I've been seeing Zekrom everywhere on my Internet. haha. And my favorite pokemon is the Nidoking. I quite like the shinies. And my favorite gen is most definitely second. |

I wanna get Pokemon Black because of Reshiram. It looks like a cross between my two favourite pokemon (Ninetales and Palkia). I was tempted by Pokemon White, because Zekrom looks totally awesome, too, but I fell for reshiram in the end.
I have a shiny Milotic and a Shiny absol! My shiny absol has NEVER lost a battle, ever! Honestly! XD

Well I guess I should answer my own question to be honest I most probely will get Black because the idear of the rotaional battle and extra battles in black city soundfs more interesting to me then going to do quests where you have to catct them which is in white forest. Also I really like fire types that and the dark type are my all time favs. @ Dustfeather my favourite gen would have to be silver/ soul silver ( I have played the original and have got the remake) and my favorite pokemon has to be Vulpix/Ninetails and has been since red and blue came out. @ 1ran the reason it is known as "light, airy, ladylike" is because of the whole yin and yang thing. well that and how game freak and nintendo have designed it. Which is kind of ironic really as yin ( the black or dark side) is supposed to be the feminine one and yang the masculin respectivly. Still this is a game of oposites Reshiram= nature and Zekrom = technology so ye.... Also as a next question on top of the others is anyone else surprised that they have yet to do a dolphin pokemon?

pokemon, one i like the most is celebi and the best part is if you have a Gamestop store near you, you can pick up celebi as a mystery gift from Feb. 21 to March 6th I think. You'll have to check Gamestop's site to be sure though. Other pokemon I love evee and the various evolutions it can turn into. The scyther. i currently am planning to buy Pokemon Black and White, one for me one for my hubby :) he's letting me pick first. I haven't decided which I like more yet. currently playing pokemon diamond. take care folk, cas.sa

My favorite pokemon would have to be Arcanine. I love dog-like pokemon, so Houndoom and such are also my favorites. I can't choose what my favorite gen is but my favorite game is Ruby, since that was kind of like the first game I got that I actually got the pokemon league in. Not counting the games like Red and Blue, because I had those but never bothered to reach the.. third gym in it. But my pokemon Ruby game stopped saving and earased my saved data, so bye-bye Groudon and Regis..

I want black for sure. Reshiram is so beautiful and strong and s-Excuse me. My top three favorite pokemon would have to be (in order) Zangoose, Umbreon, and Arcanine. I have Pokesonas of all three. My favorite Pokemon game would have to be the PMD series. I cried in EoD/EoT/EoS. |
