Violence is at a minimal level. o_O It's meant for little children as young as eight, so you don't get too much violence. There are some parts with blood, so it's not cartoonish or anything where the characters don't bleed, but there's no gore etc. ^^
Scary. Uh...this depends on your definition of 'scary'. Since it's about cats, there's not much in there that you would find scary. :/
And it's good. The writing is a bit...childish, so it's not written by some literary genius, but it has a very nice plot and it's interesting, with plenty of exciting scenes.
I recommend them. Greatly. o3o |

They are good books to start with as into the wild is the very first one but Secrets of the clans is set mid New prophecy so maybe not that one so much

Warrior cats are awesome, I can as.sure you. Res inspired me to read them. Also the best book in the series according to me is Bluestars Prophecy. Amazing book.

If you end up liking Warriors, Try Erin Hunter's other series The Seekers. It's about bears, and pretty awesome~

Sona, sorry, but I had too: You won't like Tigerclaw so much toward the 3rd book. He tries to kill Ravenpaw. :C And, basically everyone else. XD

Uhm, even Bluestar. Then, Bloodclan comes in with a cat named scrouge, and Scourge kills Tigerstar (He becomes leader of Shadowclan later on) in the most gruesome way possble. D8 Then Bluestar goes berserk, Firepaw kills Scourge, and... Sorry, I'll shut up now before I reveal the whole series. XD

I have just started warrior cats to, I am half way through my first book. I highly recomend it. My fav is definitly Squirelpaw 8)

My favorite of all time is Bluestar. <3 She was so cute as a kit, then successful as an apprentice, courageous and a little crazy as a leader. But I also love Snowfur (Bluestars sister) Whitestorm (Snowfurs kit) Oakheart (Bluestars mate) and Mistykit, Stonekit, and poor little mosskit. (All bluestars kits)

I love all of Bluestar's family. <3 Mosskit broke my heart, though. ;w; Although, I do love Bluestar's Prophecy. I like Goosefeather, that crazy old med cat. 8D
