PERE NEEDS A BOOK BECAUSE SHE JUST CAME TO TERMS WITH THE FACT THAT HARRY POTTER ENDED.

D;

Uh-hum, please give me some suggestions to go read. I'm dying with nothing to read but Harry Potter fanfiction which is slowly ending because people are slowly not writing/continuing.

Don't say Hunger Games - I read it, fangirled for a week and now I hate it.
Don't say Percy Jackson - I read it, fangirled for a month and now don't really care. Well, not really. I mean, I'll go and watch the movies when they come out, but my life doesn't center around that fandom the way my life did with the Harry Potter fandom. Maybe the books in the spinoff series will be better.
Don't say the Kane Chronicles or whatever that series is the Percy Jackson guy wrote that's about Egyptians and stuff - I read it and never fangirled.

Fantassyyyy please.

Try 'The Faerie Wars' (I was skeptical about this one until I read it- It's good.)

Midnighters is Awesome.

Eon: Dragoneye Reborn is pretty good.

Incarceron is awesome.

BUT WHAT YOU MUST READ is 'The Book Thief'. Death narrates it. It's awesome.

Ring of Five by Eoin McNamee - is compared to HP a lot because it's got a similar "magical" school/chosen one theme and is given just as good reviews from what I've seen, but hasn't managed to get HP's popularity. However it's very different, but in my opinion still something "familiar" to HP fans. :3

Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan - one of my favorite series in middle school~ owo

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer - I'm sure you've heard of this.

Deltora Quest (then Shadowlands and Dragons) by Emily Rodda - was actually considered the book to read between HP book releases.

Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare - It's pretty amazing. xD I actually went into a reading slump after reading City of Bones for the first time because nothing I read could compare to it.

The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott - haven't read much of it but it looked promising.

Guardians of Ga'Hoole by Kathrine Lasky - fantasy owl series. Falls under the same category of Warrors.

The Lost Journals of Ven Polypheme by Elizabeth Haydon - only read the first book but it's pretty good. Not amazing, though, but it's worth mentioning.

Year of the Griffin/Dark Lord of Derkholm  by Diana Wynne Jones - YoG is actually a sequel to DLoD but I actually read YoG first just because I didn't notice it was a second book. It's not a direct sequel, it just takes place in the same setting a few years later and one of the main characters is the main character from DLoD's daughter. And other characters from the first book appear, but really it won't kill anything to read them out of order. Quit honestly I wasn't as into DLoD. It was still good, but not personally appealing, so if you read it first give YoG a chance. It's also again one of those magical boarding schools except with more vast of characters and plots revolving all of them, instead of just one person.

The 39 Clues by Rick Riordan - not exactly fantasy, but still worth mentioning as I found it a really good book (only read the first because gah they're short expensive little things) and usually I stick to more around fantasy.

Mortal Instruments: My second all time favorite bookseries. First is obviously Harry Potter. I also went into a reading slump. And btw... Jace is MINE. So no touchies of the Jace. It has suoer hot, part angel deamon slayers called Shadowhunters. What more can you ask for? And, as mentioned before, there's Jace. (mine!)
Infernal Devices: Same author of Mortal instruments. Also about shadowhunters but set in victorian London. There is selfdestructive Will, shapeshifter Tessa, and Fragile Jem.
Vampire diaries: I used to like these, they were good in5th grade, idk if you'll find interest n them. And the books, wayyyyyy different and better than tv series. The tv pretty much stole names and very basic story line, then just had at it. The similarities are few and far between.
Gone series by Michael Grant: A dome goes up surrounding  10 mi radius centered at the nuclear power plant. All the adulta and children of 15yrs and older dissappeared at the same moment amd if you turn 15 while in the sphere dome thing you dissappear. Its really cool. They can't penetrate the barrier. Te kids also develop mutant powers. Definately read.
Maze Runner by James Dashner: Boys of varying ages are in a maze. The walls move every night and you DON'T want to get stuck in the maze when the doors shut. The boys also have no memory when dropped into the Glade.(an area in the mjddle of the maze)
Fallen series by Lauren Kate: Hard to explaun but really good. I recommend these books. Read them for sure.
Graceling by Kristen Kashore: Katsa has the grace of killing. A grace is like a super ability. I didn't read Fre or Bitterblue when finishing because neither one follows Katsa anymore.
hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatric: Norah Grey is convinced shes being followed and is seeing tjings that she doesnt know if they are truly there. And of course there's Patch.
Thats all I xan remember right now, so I'll edit later when I can remember more. Also, I typed this fast on my tablet so I apologize for my spelling errors. Just go with your best bet. Hope you like the books I recommended. I finished them all which is a good sighn because if I don't like it I wint finish. And, just a reminder, Jace is mine. :P You can have all the other boys but I get Jace. Kapish?

The book series Artemis Fowl is really good. You should try that. It's fantasy where the story revolves around elves, werewolves, and other mythical creatures. It's filled with action.

If you want books for higher thinking (books that would blow your mind and make you reflect), try reading
Sophie's World - It's a book by Jostein Gaarder and it gives you a crash course to philosophy. This is one of the books I've read with a very very very unique plot. I swear! You will be surprised
Maya - It's a book still by Jostein Gaarder. It has a wonderful story and plot which tackles about the philosophy of life and how people have viewed and wanted to be immortal. This books will make you appreciate why you are on Earth.

Anything written by Diana Wynne Jones. A lot of her stuff is not in print anymore, but you can still find it in the library/used. I was hit hard by the end of HP too and she saved me. My favorite is Chronicles of Chrestomanci. There are 3 volumes of those. She's also written like, 20 other books or something. Everything I've read by her so far is fabulous.

Also, if you've never read Eragon, do. Don't judge the book by the movie. The movie was terrible; the books are great.

One of my favorites is a book called "The Tapestry". It's a series, but if you stop at the first one, it won't kill you, it gets a little more mature as the books go on. I think the next book is coming out this november c:

You must read The Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices(as you've been told many times) but you should also read the Blood of Eden and the Iron fey by Julie Kagawa. As well as Vampire Academy and Bloodlines by Richelle Mead.

Maybe Wolves of the Beyond or The Pit Dragon Trilogy?

I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Read Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth. My favorite books ever.

Airborn/Skybreaker/Starclimber [a trilogy by Kenneth Oppel] is also a good trilogy series to read.

OH! And The Maze Runner. They are my second favorite. Starts with the Maze Runner, second is The Scorch Trials, and the third is The Death Cure. There is also a prequel I never finished called The Kill Order, I just never really had the time and had to give it back to the library before I got the chance to finish x3

Another good one I read half of and didn't have time to finish was The Knife of Never Letting Go, but I don't know how it ends. Though I am pretty sure it's part of a series, I am not positive.

The Mysterious Benedict Society By Trenton Lee Stewart is the best series ever. :) Well, that is, except for Harry Potter.
