Since you're using a mouse, it's very difficult to get the what you want on the canvas xD
And since anatomy seemed to be one of the biggest issues here, I suppose you should plan your drawing carefully first, like how you would use guidelines (which you SHOULD use when you're starting off, even with pencil). I'd use the circle and line tools on MS paint if I were you. I like to draw just the head's guidelines (because I'm lazy xD). But when I started using guidelines I did guidelines for the head, ribcage, spinal cord, legs and pelvis. Now as an example, I'm going to draw an angry dragon without the use of my tablet (and thus the use of my touchpad xD).

Then I start drawing all over it and making sure it's what I want (using the brush tool). As you can se, I forgot about the hind legs and added them in xD

But to really improve your drawings on computer you should really improve your visualisation skills, so practice tons with pencil! You'd have a better advantage because the mouse won't spoil your day. ;o
